If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer s decision in such is final. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. BREEDER S GUARANTEE, BULLS: Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. SETTLEMENT: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses, such as feed, care, interest, veterinary charges, etc., will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder, the said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal a breeder, the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement. F.O.B. ranch or location of origin or a refund of the actual price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sale Management will appoint a mediator. 4 MISTY HILLS CHAROLAIS Misty Hills Charolais Ltd. has sold purebred bulls for more than 40 years. Thank you to previous buyers, some bought bulls every year for 25 years. This years offering again is anchored by Smooth Deal 253 Z, with 16 sons and 8 grandsons, Pro Char Boss Hog 33C, MXS Kiser 528C and our hiefer bull MHCL Beck 45B. We calve on grass in the hills in May-June. Bulls are slowly grown out and wintered in a 20-acre pen. Our success is based on satisfied customers, which is greatly appreciated. We have been breeding all of our commercial cows to our own Charolais bulls, and have been very pleased with the results. Our goal is to produce quality bulls that will calve easily for you, but still have thickness and depth, with good hair and feet. We grow our bulls with longevity in mind, and cull our cows accordingly. NEW this YEAR! We have been thinking about selling yearlings for some time now, and now this year we have 10 on offer. In order to do so, we have been breeding to start calving earlier in order to have yearling bulls that are old enough to breed as yearlings. We selected our yearling sale offering based on age, therefore you will see that the many of them are off of first calf heifers. We continue to share herd sires with Misty Hills Charolais, providing many half brothers in the sale. 31 FULL MORTALITY AND LOSS-OF-USE BULL WARRANTY The ermilion Charolais Group will continue to warranty our bulls as we always have in the past, and strive to be leaders in supporting our customers. A bull purchase can be a big expense and we want to work with you to help take the risk out of buying a bull. As such, we are offering and extended warranty for our bulls for 6 months at a cost of 5%, to a maximum of $10,000. Warranty covers 100% of purchase price less salvage value in the event of a bulls death or injury including infertility due to accident or illness. This does not replace the breeders guarantee. Warranty will be paid out in the form of a credit to be used at future ermilion Charolais Group Bull sales. The credit can be applied to any bull at the sale. If you find a bull privately from one of the contributors that you feel adequately replaces your bull, you are free to replace your bull this way. However, no further credit will be given at ermilion Charolais Group Bull Sale. Any claim requires a vet check or proof of death, and must be reported to one of the contributors by October 1st, 20. No claim should be more than the purchase price. Our full mortality and loss of use warranty is in addition to any warranties the contributors have always had. We ask that all bulls boarded by the contributors after the sale be covered by our extended warranty or some other form of insurance.
