2 4-H Scholarship Applications Due May 31, ers/scholarships/ The California 4-H Youth Development Program is committed to promoting higher education, in part through offering financial assistance in the form of scholarships. With help from donors, statewide scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors and college-attending students between the ages of 16 to 25. Candidates were 4-H members in high school and may now apply for funds to cover educational expenses such as tuition, books, and room and board. Etna 4-H News- submitted by Abby and Lizzy Whipple The Etna 4-H Club members have been busy the past few months! The February business meeting was a short one, in order to accommodate Local Presentation Night. There were a large variety of presentations from 4-H members of all ages. This year Etna FFA club members showed their support by serving as presentation judges. Everyone agreed that this was a fun and effective way to find judges, and that the evening was a great success. The March meeting was held on March 14 th and ended with the quarter-a-dip fundraiser. Each member brought a dessert to the meeting, and afterwards, everyone got to fill a plate with treats, each piece (or dip) costing a quarter. This is one fundraiser that nobody wants to miss! By the end of the month, all projects will be underway and Etna 4-H members are all looking forward to a busy and fun spring.
