This is partly true but there are other factors that influence calving ease. The dam and her management are at least 50% of calving ease. Also, the consistency of the birth weights of the sire and dam should be considered. Nutrition, gestation and environment all influence birth weight. We have rated each bull in the sale based on the information we have. *** Should produce minimal problems when bred to moderate size first calf heifers ** Recommend for second calvers or smaller framed cows 1100 lbs to 1300 lbs * Recommend for mature cows 1400 lbs plus Delivery Options A. 5 Welcome Welcome to our 11th annual bull and female sale here at Ter-Ron. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has taken the time and effort to check out our program. A highlight for us is when we hear how well our customer s calves have sold at the auction market. This is a very positive time in the cattle business and never has it been more important to sell good quality calves. It means more money in the producer s pockets. We are very proud of our offering this year and we look forward to visitors touring the cow herd any time prior to the sale. We take the cattle business very seriously and we believe that the bull is only as good as the mama cow he comes from. We spend countless hours on the road promoting our product. We are also searching for and trying to incorporate new and fresh genetics that will make our cowherd better. In this way, we will pass it on to you, our valued customers. Easy fleshing and good footed, with sound structure and udders are qualities that are of utmost importance to us. A select group of heifers off the top of our pen are another feature of our 2016 sale. These top heifers have been palpated and are guaranteed breeders.
