3 December 17, 2012 Dear Sea Scouts, I want to welcome you to the Spring Icebreaker. This event, which is organized by the dedicated volunteers of Area 6 and Anthony Wayne Area Council, is the premier training opportunity of the spring. During this training weekend, you will be able to shake off the snow and prepare yourself for the upcoming warmer weather. Soon we will be able to get back to more of our favorite outdoor activities. Prepare yourself by refreshing your seamanship skills or learning new ones. Have fun participating in some friendly competition and making new friends with other sea scouts from the area and region. Last but not least you will be able to make new contacts during this weekend that will provide you an avenue to enhance your own scouting unit s activities. So take every advantage of the learning opportunities offered this weekend, meet some new friends, and enjoy the weekend. Yours in Sea Scouting, D.
