2 Welcome one and all to another addition of our annual Bull and Heifer sale from Double C Red Angus. As I write this up, we are hopefully through the polar vortex and on to better weather. The bulls and heifers are looking great as usual and the quality is right up there with the best of the yearling bulls and heifers being offered out there for sale. We pride ourselves on retaining only the top few to make sure you don t have to waste your time driving here to see just a bull or just a yearling heifer. They have been grown on whole oats and a highend protein mix pellet. Hand fed twice a day and we are already backing them down on their ration now that the weather has broke.(hopefully) We strive to sell you a bull that will last a few years in your respective herds. We have a maternal breed so you will have longevity and fertility. We are proud of the offering we have for you this year and hope to see you on or before the 26th for viewing of the animals in their pen. DLMS will be working with our sales crew to have videos and pictures of the offering ahead of time on their website and on sale day as we auction them. So if you are looking for a new herd sire or a replacement female please put us at the top of your list for some very top animals. Till the 26th may your calving go well with calves that calve easy, get up and suck quickly and have the ability to grow and top the market for you this fall. 4 Reference Sires RED DOUBLE C ASPIRATION 319A Youngdale Fortitude 9D RED WRAZ PHANTOM 12B RED Double C Dorango 181D Aspiration is an old boy on the block here and one we will find hard to part with in the future. He is an absolute site to behold and he stands on perfect feet that have never been touched. He is a power bull extraordinaire. His son was the high seller in our sale last year and we wouldn t be surprised if it isn t repeated this year. Youngdale Fortitude 9D is a bull Cameron bought for Carla s black line up as the Jag daughters need a boyfriend. He is a different muscle pattern than Jag and a couple frame scores down from the powerful Jag. This fellow is a calving ease supreme and you can check out his pedigree by checking out his tattoo on the CAA website. He is YDF 9D. He has been working extremely well for us and his offspring will do the same for you. Last spring we decided to part with Phantom 12B. We were acquiring a fair number of replacement females and we have sold a lot of heifer bulls off of this fellow so we sold him back to his former owner and we wish him all the success we have had with Phantom. So the phantom bulls on offer are the last from our girls so if you want calving ease supreme he is the man. Red Double C Dorango 181D was used as a back up as a yearling and he left us with a few top end bulls and heifers. He has since taken residence at Lorne and Curtis Herndier s ranch and we hope they have as much success with him as we had with the yearlings he produced. He is a Bonanza son so same father as Diesel but 17Z is a powerful cow that we still have in our herd. This bull will have stylish bulls that will pass that on to their offspring. And the pounds will be there in the fall. We are proud to have Red Double C Diesel 218D back home with us and are looking forward to many years with this big rascal. He has two sons on offer this year and they are outstanding. On sound feet and legs and bodies that are deep and balanced they will be quick to catch your eyes. They can be used on larger heifers and definitely on purebred heifers but with outcrossing on commercial girls make sure they are at the top of your list for your cows. They are power bulls all the way. Jag is now sold to a friend but still has residence here in our yard for a year or two yet. He is an amazing bull with size and power that come after the calves hit the ground. He is still a calving ease sire on heifers and then the pounds and frame start to stack on. All our offspring hitting the ground on all our bulls this year are on average 7-10 days early so it will be the gestation that makes these bulls calving ease bulls. Early calves, lighter birthweight but boy do they change in front of your eyes once they are out. Red Double C Damien 296D now resides at Llyod Tokarchuk s farm but I am wondering looking at his pedigree if we shouldn t have kept this bull! He is Aspiration off of CPRA 666T, one of the most powerful cows we have raised to date and she has now left us to go to cow heaven. The offspring on this bull will throw their stamp on their calves and the cow line is as strong as Aspiration is. You won t go wrong with a Damien son. Red High Caliber Carbine 110C A couple years ago when we ran into some bull problems our friends Rachel and Darwin came to our rescue and sold us this rascal that we have high hopes for in the future. He is a calving ease specialist that gives us beautiful females and masculine bulls. He is an easy keeper and above all else stands on a solid foundation which we seek as one of our main criteria in bull power. Our cow herd has the milk and the udders along with hair and femininity so we are constantly watching the feet in the bulls we purchase. This fellow is solid all the way through. Should the purchaser fail to settle for his purchase, Double C Red Angus reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage, either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. The owners, Double C Red Angus and sale staff have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and/or who has not made prior credit arrangements prior to sale with the owners and/or sale management. Bid - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. Disputes - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer s decision in such matters will be final. Purchaser s Risk - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. Certificate of Registry - The proper registration or recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made. Shipping - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but sale management or seller assumes no risk. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. Bulls can be delivered free of charge within reasonable distances so long as Double C Red Angus can do so within a day or two of required time, and notice is given in advance of the delivery date required. Guarantee - All animals will carry standard breeding guarantee as specified by the applicable Canadian Breed Association. At no time shall the seller s liability exceed the purchase price of the animal. Exception to Guarantee - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. In the case of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to applicable Canadian Breed Association Guarantee, but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze. Health - We ensure our bulls are semen tested and have passed all breeding health protocols. Remembering Dana Leigh Kaczmar Dana Leigh Kaczmar lived a life worth celebrating, filled with love, adventure, hope and happiness. Dana was born on January 6, 1982 in Yorkton, Sask., and she passed away peacefully on October 13, 2018 in Edmonton, AB. She was a mother, wife, daughter and sister and gave everything of herself to each of those titles. Dana was raised in the Foam Lake area where she completed all her grade school years. She participated in many school activities including sports and leadership rolls. She is remembered by her classmates as having incredible organizational skills, the one who was a friend to all, and her unwavering kindness. After graduation she received her Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Saskatchewan and began her 14 year teaching career at Pierceland Central School. Family by far has always been Dana s top priority. She was so proud of the life that she built with her husband of 14 years, Jon, and their three beautiful children, Carson, Taylor and Braxton, in Pierceland, Sask. They established roots for their family and have instilled strong values of country living, simplicity and love. It was so important for her children to be raised with a close connection to their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and she travelled countless miles to ensure that this happened. She had an amazing ability to see the good in children, and know each of them for their individual strengths. This is what made her an outstanding educator, giving her heart to her classroom first with Grade 4, then kindergarten which she loved to teach. Dana lived her best life. She lived it to the fullest. Her life was filled with love, happiness, and quality time spent with her family. While we mourn a beautiful soul taken far too soon, we celebrate the life that she loved and each of us can be grateful for the gift of knowing Dana.
