3 Presidents Corner REMINDER MEETING IS AT OUR SUMMER LOCATION THIS MONTH. See directions below. Once again this year we will be having our meeting at Pirates Hideout for the spring and summer months. As in the past this is at no cost to the club thanks to Al s hospitality to us. Please come with an appetite and purchase some of the great food or ice cream treats in an effort to show Al our appreciation for the use of the facility. Also, bring that beautiful car of yours weather permitting and show it off in the front lot. Here we go again the first show of our season is upon us. The Jack Byrne Dust Off Car Show is on Sunday, May 18 th this year with the stuffing party on Wednesday the 14 th. We will be having the stuffing party at Dave and Nicole Treacy s famous Monster Garage again. We will be starting at 6:30 p.m. I would like to thank Dave and Nicole for letting us use the garage. Please come out and help so we can get this project done quickly. See directions to garage following: NY146 East towards Mechanicville In Mechanicville Rt. 146 becomes Rt. 4 & 32 (near Jack Byrne) At McDonalds take a right onto Park Ave. Turn left onto Main St. North Turn right at the car wash onto Rt. 67 East (at the bridge) 2 nd left hand turn after the bridge is North Linden Street (Golf Course) Turn left at next street Smith Street The garage is the first left hand driveway (behind 78 North Linden St.) We have finished design of the 50 th birthday Celebration tee shirts and are ready to order them. Wendy will be at the meeting to go over the final design and to take orders on crew neck sweat shirts and long sleeve shirts if you would like to purchase one of them. She will require payment at the meeting for these additional items so please bring cash in hand. If you only would like a short sleeve tee shirt we will be doing a mass order for those and you can purchase them when the order arrives. Message from Wendy on 50 th clothing: Members should call or me if they want sweatshirts. They can send a check made out to ASMC or pay at the meeting. Directions are as follows from the Northway: Take exit 8A follow signs for Grooms Road. Turn right onto Grooms Road. At route 9 continue through the light at which time the name of the road will change to Guideboard road. Continue on this road for about ½ mile and it will be on your left next to the Stewarts Shop.

5 Adirondack Shelby-Mustang Regional Club Minutes from April 3, 2014 Meeting ASMC Secretary, Donna K. DeVoe Old Business Meeting held at Halfmoon Town Hall. Meeting called to order at 7:11 pm. and recorded. March Meeting Minutes were reviewed with no changes. Phil Benner approved and seconded by Bob Mass. Minutes were approved. Walt would have passed around the club mail if there were any to be noted. Steve Freed distributed the Treasurer s report for members to review. The beginning balance was $1, and the ending balance is $2, John Watters made a motion to accept the treasurer s report and the motion was seconded by Wendy Brown. The treasurer s report was accepted. Welcome new member Kathleen Allen who drives a 2007 Red GT Convertible and also Alli Crell she drives a 2014 Grabber Blue Mustang. DeVoe discussed the progress of Club Membership ID cards and they will be distributed with the clubs bylaws at the May meeting and/or mailed. 50/50 The winner was Ed Kepner of $ New Business May 7, 2014 Club Meeting will be held at Pirates Hideout (on left passed Salty s on Grooms Road) at 7:00pm. Please dress appropriately cold weather and bugs. Gently Used or New Items would be greatly appreciated to use as door prizes so that the car club could buy fewer or give more items away. 7 MCA Information:(Al DelSignore III) As of January 2014, the MCA is no longer offering the incentive to clubs reducing the amount we pay for new MCA member applications. In the future if you want to join the MCA please register online ( or fill out the application and send it directly to them. There are many benefits to joining the MCA. Please see me for more info. If any new or old MCA members could please share your MCA numbers with us we need at least 10 active MCA member numbers for our annual report to the MCA. They have no expiration date and are the cheapest way to get a great Hoffman car wash. All of the profits are donated to our local Make-A-Wish chapter. As before, there isn t a cost to the membership just a nice friendly communications about our sick members. Phil and Helen Benner have volunteered to run this for us. We will be placing a list in the newsletter of those not up to par for one reason or another.
