3 What additional educational, extracurricular, and community purposes the NEW pool could be used for

4 NEW pool s potential as an Academic Facility: Swim Lessons for the Brickie Kidz day care Lifeguard and Water Safety Instruction Certification Fishing class Lifetime Recreation Class (kayaking, scuba diving, i snorkeling)

5 NEW pool s potential as an Academic Facility cont. : Boating Safety class Career Day (demonstrations of different aquatic careers could take place there) Elementary swim classes High school physical education swim instruction i classes and fitness classes

6 NEW pool s potential as an Academic Facility cont. : Cross curricular activities can utilize pool: Math class measuring volume Math class testing force using the diving i board fulcrum Science/Health testing the water as the Health Dept. would Science classes measuring humidity compared to other parts of the building Health/PE measuring heart rate from swimming compared to other physical activities Video class could tape active swimmers to learn correct procedures to film individuals idiid in motion in water

8 NEW pool s potential as an Extracurricular Facility for students t cont. : If pool meets IHSAA (Indiana High School Athletic Association) standards, pool could be used or rented out for: Championship meets such as Conference, Sectionals, large invites Teams can rent out lanes for practice time, especially if we re a 50 meter pool Diving teams could rent our boards to practice on with our elite, new facility Pool parties

9 NEW pool s potential as a Community Facility Rehabilitation from hospitals, nursing homes, or prescribed physical therapist exercises Year-round Learn to Swim program Family Fun Nights Daddy Date night Just Me and Mom night Classes: infant, adult swim, prenatal, aerobics, etc. Weight Loss Programs for adults, children, and families Swim to a New You Swim Your Way to Fitness

10 NEW pool s potential as a Community Facility cont. Snorkeling and scuba class Kayak lessons Police and Military practice and training sessions Master s Swim Club Community Lifeguard and Water Safety Instruction certification (could also include CPR and AED) Diving Lessons Could be carried over to other community bodies of water (i.e. Lake George, Robinson Lake, Big Maple Lake, etc)
