Graeme first joined KASC back in the early 1970s and has been Club President since He completed all technical courses and gained accreditation as a Referee many years ago. Graeme was elected SNSW Official of the Year back in He chaired the Technical Officials Committee for 2 years and has for a long time been the backbone of the Club with respect to knowledge of swimming. Graeme has graciously offered to continue serving as a Referee for interclub meets. Thank you also to Julie Whitelaw and Fiona Mance, our outgoing Vice Presidents, who have each actively served the Club for many years. In recent years Julie has been Judging alongside Carl and Terry most Saturdays as well as deputising for Graeme in his absences. Fiona was always visible on pool deck as a Marshal and as a swimmer and successfully organised the many social events and raffles held throughout the year.

2 RESULTS SMNE 13U SPRINT MEET 22 OCTOBER KASC was represented by 13 swimmers at the SMNE 13U Sprint Meet last weekend.

Breast 2nd 50 Back, 2nd 50 Fly 3rd 100 Back 3rd 50 Breast 2nd 50 Breast Well done to Harriet McLean for obtaining a qualifying time for Metropolitan in her 100m Breast. A great achievement.

Thanks you to our parent timekeepers and to Charlotte Young in the recording room and Sue Young as check starter. It was a long day and your efforts are really appreciated.

If swimmers are coming in with parents PLEASE make sure they go to the front desk and pay at 7 am. The privilege of entering the complex early is just for officials and people who help set up.

Swimmers who enter with parents are to remain on the seats until 7am and not wander around the pool deck or grass areas as YMCA do not start supervising until 7am. ENTERING RACES read this!

2 2 RESULTS SMNE 13U SPRINT MEET 22 OCTOBER KASC was represented by 13 swimmers at the SMNE 13U Sprint Meet last weekend. Many PBs achieved and some ribbons too Results as follows: Nicholas Gladen Lachlan Roche Ella Cave Zara Cave 1st 100 Back, 1st 50 Back, 1st 50 Free 2nd 100 Free, 2nd 50 Breast, 2nd 50 Fly 3rd 100 Breast 2nd 50 Back, 2nd 50 Fly 3rd 100 Back 3rd 50 Breast 2nd 50 Breast Well done to Harriet McLean for obtaining a qualifying time for Metropolitan in her 100m Breast. Fantastic swimming by all our other team swimmers who achieved some great PBs: Larry Aisin-Gioro, Lexi Grant, Fuyu Han, Lucy McLean, Tom Pennycook, Nikolaus Van, Andy Wu and Elliot Young. SATURDAY MORNING ENTRY INTO THE POOL COMPLEX The entry for officials and adults setting up on Saturday mornings is by the bottom gate from 6.45am. If swimmers are coming in with parents PLEASE make sure they go to the front desk and pay at 7 am. The privilege of entering the complex early is just for officials and people who help set up. Once you join the Club, an will be sent to you explaining how to enter races each week. We have an on-line Meet Entry system. You need to know your Username and Password and complete entries before 11:59 pm on the Wednesday before each event. You may enter as many as one freestyle event, two form stroke events, a medley and a long distance event each week. KU-RING-GAI SWIMMING CLUB TEAM APP Ku-Ring-Gai Swimming Club is now using the Team App for communication and information relating to our Club and swim meets in conjunction with our website. Please download the app from the App Store for Apple or Google Play for Android devices. A brochure of

instructions is attached with a step by step guide on how to download the app. The relevant Access Group to select is swimmers.

There will shortly be a section to purchase club gear as well, but this is still in the works. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE download the Team App so that you don t miss out on important information.

All children aged 7 or under at the time of registration can join the Club for free, and they receive a Dolphin T-Shirt and Bag. (We don t have these yet, but will hand out when they arrive).

TRAINING AND COACHING Our Club Coach is Larissa Bytchenkov and she is happy to assist with any of your training needs. Larissa will be at Club meets on Saturdays. $10 FOR 10 DAYS SPECIAL We have more of the Y s $10 for 10 days special vouchers available. See someone at the Club house if you would like to buy one. They are great value for anyone who wants to dip their toes in the water, so to speak. Please be aware that these were given to the Club as a fund raiser and not for promotional use. They are not to be used for entry on Saturday Club entry but can be used at other times for pool or gym. CLUB GEAR FOR SALE The following merchandise items are available for purchase at Saturday club meet days. For further information you can contact the Uniform co-ordinator. Please have cash handy when paying. When representing KASC at swimming carnivals all attending swimmers are expected to be dressed in the KASC swimming team T-shirt and swim cap.
