2 Presentation of the meet After five successful meets (in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013), the Neptune Club de France is organizing their sixth European Swim Meet on Saturday, May 17 & Sunday, May, at the Georges Vallerey swimming pool in Paris. The European Swim Meet is an official swimming competition wellknown in Europe. It is also a great place for people in Europe with a passion for swimming to come together. Certified by the French Swimming Federation, the European Meet is organized in partnership with the Regional Committee for Swimming (CIF), the Paris Departmental Committee (CD75), the City of Paris and the Ile-de-France Region. The competition is organized by the Neptune Club de France, which was created in Affiliated with the French Swimming Federation, it is an important player in the practice of swimming in France. The Swim Meet consists of two days of competition and is open to all swimmers affiliated with a European federation recognized by the European Swimming League (LEN). Organized in a 50-metre pool, in heats/finals, with electronic timing and with breaks for warm up and recovery, it allows swimmers to compete in the best conditions. Location The European Swim Meet is organized at the Georges Vallerey swimming pool in Paris. The swimming pool was built for the Olympic Games in 1924 and was completely renovated in It is equipped with a 50m x 21m pool and regularly hosts major swimming competitions: the FINA Swimming World Cup, National Championships, Regional Championships and numerous other meets. 3 WOMAN MAN Rules The competition is open to all swimmers affiliated with a European federation, recognized by the European Swimming League. The French Swimming Federation rules will apply. The competition will be held at the Georges Vallerey swimming pool, in the 50 metre-pool (50m, 8 corridors) with electronic timing. For the 50 and 100 metre events, the qualifying heat will take place in the morning and finals by age groups in the afternoon. The 200 meter will be ranked by age groups. The 400 meter and the relays will have a single ranking independent of age (3 heats of 400 meter freestyle and 1 heat of 400 meters individual medley) The competition is certified by the French Federation of Swimming, all performances will be validated. Age Groups The table below shows the age groups for participation in the Meet. 4 Awards Medals will be awarded either to the first three swimmers in each final or direct ranking, depending on the race. To receive medals, all swimmers will be required to present themselves to the podium, which will be located next to the computer room. Registration The registration file can be found below or downloaded from the site: (meeting/ édition 2014) Your file should be sent before the 5 th may 2014 The price is fixed at 6,00 for individuals race and at 8,00 for relay race. No registration will be validated without full payment before the start of the event.
