HOW TO GET TO KUMPULA CAMPUS FROM THE CITY CENTER: The easiest way to come to Kumpula Campus from the city center is with a tram number 6 (Also at least busses 55, 55A, 70, 73N, 75, 77, will take you near the Campus). It leaves from the front of the Central railway station every 10 minutes or so.

In front of that stop you will see a shopping centre named Arabia.

4 The journey will take approximately 20 min. You should get off the tram or the bus at a stop called Kyläsaarenkatu or Kumpula Campus respectively. In front of that stop you will see a shopping centre named Arabia. Then you should walk up to the hill where you see a big white sphere which looks like a volleyball, that is our met radar. We are situated in the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) building called Dynamicum.

5 Dynamicum main door Bus stop HOW TO GET TO KUMPULA CAMPUS FROM THE HOTEL AVA: The hotel is quite near (approx. 1.3 km) so the fastest way to reach Kumpula Campus is by walking through a park:

HOW TO GET TO KUMPULA CAMPUS FROM THE AIRPORT: Public transport from Helsinki-Vantaa airport is not that good and maybe the easiest way to come to Kumpula is via city center.

6 HOW TO GET TO KUMPULA CAMPUS FROM THE AIRPORT: Public transport from Helsinki-Vantaa airport is not that good and maybe the easiest way to come to Kumpula is via city center. At least busses 615, 615T and 615V leave from front of Terminal 2 to city center. From the city center you can take the tram number 6 or one of the busses listed above to Kumpula Campus. Prepare at least 1 hour for the travels. HOW TO GET TO HOTEL AVA FROM THE AIRPORT: Bus (615, 615T and 615V) leaves just outside the Terminal 1 and 2. Bus ticket from the airport is 5. The bus ride will take approx. 23 minutes and you should get off the bus at a stop called Mäkelänrinne. Then follow the map below and you will find hotel AVA.
