2 2 Helsinki, September 15, 2009 World Youth Championships 2010: Bulletin 1 It is a great pleasure to the Finnish Bowling Federation and the Tali Bowl to present the World Youth Championships 2010 Bulletin no. 1 for all WTBA member federations. The World Youth Championships 2010 will be hosted in a co-operation between four main partners: the World Tenpin Bowling Federation, the Finnish Bowling Federation, Helsinki Bowling Association and Oy Bowling Ab. Tali Bowl was built in 1973 and has hosted the European Championships in 1977 and the World Championships in 1987 among other international and National Championships throughout the years. Please pay attention to the deadlines presented in this bulletin, chapter 6.. It will not be possible for any federation to enter the championships not meeting the entry deadline. We expect to be able to accommodate all delegates, players and officials at this one hotel, where we have exclusively access to nearly all rooms at the whole duration of the events. All hotel reservations must be made through Finnish Bowling Federation. We can only guarantee transportation and other services, if the reservations were made to us.

Various facilities and services 8 Website Various information related to the WYC 2010 is available at keilailu.fi/.fi/wyc in due time before the championships including all necessary information and furthermore hosting the result service during the championships. Press area One meeting room will be used for the press; all connected through the internal network in the centre and with access to results at the Internet. We expect to be able to provide space and capacity for about 20 press officials. All press officials will be connected through a wireless network. They will have access to the Internet free of charge. We expect the press officials to bring their laptops, but should there be a need, stationary computers will be available in the press area. There will also be a printer available. A refreshment service in form of coffee, tea and soft drinks will be available for all accredited press officials - free of charge. Press conferences We will provide sufficient space for press conferences after the conclusion of each discipline and in other situations, when necessary. Result services The latest technology will be in use both for the present press officials and in relation to accumulation and presentation of scores and standings. Bus services All delegations of the championships will be met in Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and in conjunction with departures a similar delivery service will be provided. A bus service for the official hotel - Tali Bowl - hotel will be provided for all players, coaches, officials, Presidium members with an official entry throughout the whole duration of the championships. In addition there will be mini buses available for various special situations. Equipment storage Ball park in the bowling centre will be used to store the equipment. There will be an easy and short distance from ball park to the lanes. Farewell Banquet The Banquet will be held in August 1 in the evening, probably in Radisson Blu Hotels Seaside.

9 9 5. Various fees WYC 2010 Entry Fee The WYC 2010 Entry Fee is 180. This fee is payable for all delegations, including players, coaches, managers, head of delegations and other officials connected to each team. The Entry Fee includes the delegation fee to WTBA. WYC 2010 Supporters Fee The WYC 2010 Supporters Fee will be announced in Bulletin 2. This fee is for additional guests arriving with the teams. The fee covers entrance to the centre, but not the farewell banquet. Such guests can not have any duties related to the team. There is a very good public transportation from the Radisson Blu Royal hotel to the Tali Bowl. Bus line 14 has a stop in front of the hotel and Tali Bowl. Tourist tickets are available at a reasonable price. WYC 2010 Pass to the Tali Bowl The price for WYC 2010 Daily Pass to the Tali Bowl will be announced in Bulletin 2. The price for WYC 2010 Championship Pass to the Tali Bowl will be announced in Bulletin 2. 10 6. Forms and deadlines 10 Attached to this bulletin are the first two forms related to the WYC 2010; the WYC 2010 Entry Form and the Hotel Form. Please pay attention to the following deadlines Form A: WYC 2010 Entry Form The deadline for the Entry Form to be submitted is April 30 th, 2010 Federations sending the Entry Form later than Friday April30 th will not have their team included in the World Youth Championships There will be no exceptions. The strictly enforcement of the deadline is to ensure all participants and officials a well planned championship with stable schedules. Form B: Hotel Form The deadline for the Hotel Form to be submitted is April 30 th, 2010 Federations sending their forms later than Friday April 30 th can not expect to be accommodated at the official hotel or expect the special hotel rates and will not be able to benefit of the provided bus service during the championships. In any case there will be no bus service for federations choosing to accommodate their delegations at other hotels than the official hotels. Please respect the two vital deadlines above We are hoping for your understanding in the necessity of enforcing these deadlines. It is in all aspects for the benefit of the teams and all present officials that we are as well prepared as possible.
