The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre lies in the heart of the Port precinct, centrally located in the town and within walking distance to the many accommodation venues and restaurants. The historic wharf at the Port of Echuca will add something old to your wedding day, with the recent meticulous restoration adding a touch of something new. The iconic wharf setting harbours the ambience of our local history as well as the natural beauty of the Murray River. Imagine being married on the picturesque historic Echuca Wharf, then travelling with your guests aboard an authentic steam-driven paddlesteamer to your riverfront reception. This is just one of the many options available to couples at the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre. The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre looks forward to hosting your special day in our historic area. The Echuca Wharf offers a unique setting for your wedding day with an incredible sense of history. 3 ECHUCA WHARF CEREMONY HIRE Wharf hire for a wedding ceremony at the Port Of Echuca Discovery Centre, is available for a period of 1 ½ hours at a cost of $1,000. This is applicable during standard operating hours of 9am 5pm. Each additional hour s hire thereafter is charged at a rate of $50 per hour. Please note that this is not an exclusive hire; during your ceremony the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre will continue to be open as a tourist attraction and Echuca Paddlesteamers will continue their daily cruises from the Wharf. If you would like exclusive use of the Echuca Wharf, your booking will need to be after 5pm. The cost will be $1, for the 1.5 hours. Should time allow, during the hire period, Echuca Wharf and surrounds are available for additional photographs. ACCESS FOR GUESTS The hire of the Echuca Wharf for a wedding ceremony allows guests access onto the Wharf for the duration of the hire period. Guests can arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the designated hire period. Entry is available to your guests through the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre. A complimentary welcome sign will be placed at the front of the Discovery Centre for your guests. BRIDES ENTRY There are a variety of options available for the Bride s entry. Although Murray Esplanade is closed to vehicle access between 9.30am and 5.30pm, we can arrange for bridal vehicles to enter the street during this time to pick up and drop off the bridal party. WEDDING CO ORDINATOR As part of your hire fee our dedicated wedding co ordinator will be with you from the time of booking to the completion of the ceremony to ensure your special day is memorable. NOTE: If your Wharf Wedding requires the erection of a marquee, tent or stage this may trigger the requirement of a Shire of Campaspe POPE (Places of Public Entertainment Permit) and/or TOP (Temporary Occupancy Permit) approval. If a POPE and/or TOP is required for your event, the application is to be completed and fee is to be paid for at your expense. 4 EQUIPMENT The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre presents a range of equipment, available to hire, to suit your theme and make your great day perfect! Port of Echuca Equipment Package $ Plastic stacker white chairs (max 80) and/or Wooden bench seats (maximum of 8 which seat 3 comfortably) Red Carpet Isle and carpet header for Bridal Party. 2x choices of Registry Table with 2 Chairs Lectern 5 meters of Tule Pevensey Station wool bales Paddlesteamer Wheelhouse Exhibit Portable public address system Package charge includes set up of equipment and a designated staff member throughout your ceremony, to assist with the little things if required. ADDITIONAL EXTRAS Umbrellas $80 each Arbour $150 Wine barrels $30 each CATERING Catering can be arranged on the wharf for the duration of your ceremony. Hot and cold canapes & finger food available from $20 per person Alcohol and refreshments packages $15 per person (1 hr) $22.50 per person (1.5hrs) Beverages on consumption option also available

5 ALTERNATE LOCATIONS CARGO SHED The ideal undercover option with visual history surrounding you. There are many backdrop settings within the rustic Cargo Shed Museum: detailed or plain to suit any requirement. Suitable for a stand up or sit down ceremony with the option to spill out onto the historic wharf before or after the ceremony. UNDER ECHUCA WHARF Surround yourself with the amazing structure that is the Echuca Wharf. Let your guests be mesmerised by the intricacies of the redgum wood work, providing a somewhat religious feel. Numbers will depend on the location. This location is subject to river height. EARNSHAW WALKWAY Complete with North/South river views the Earnshaw Walkway features a small viewing platform, jutting out over the beautiful Murray River- a perfect place for an intimate ceremony. Be creative and have your guests face out towards the river, downstream to Riverboat Dock or upstream towards the intricate wood work of the Echuca Wharf. Suitable for a stand up ceremony with approx. 50 guests. All of the above locations are available at a hire rate of $800 for a period of 1 ½ hours. Bridal party and guest details are as outlined in the ceremony hire section of this document.

6 THE PERFECT PHOTO SETTING Take advantage of Echuca Wharf s enviable views of the Murray River by hiring the Wharf for your wedding photographs. PHOTO HIRE RATES Access to Echuca Wharf for wedding photos only is available at a cost of $200 for one hour during standard operating hours of 9am 5pm. (An additional charge of $50 per hour applies for bookings outside standard operating hours) Provided it falls within the allocated hire period there is no additional charge for photos during a Wharf Wedding ceremony. ACCESS FOR BRIDAL PARTY The hire of the Echuca Wharf for wedding photos allows the Bride & Groom, Bridal Party and photographer access onto the Wharf through the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre for the duration of the hire period.

7 PS ADELAIDE Built in 1866, PS Adelaide is the oldest wooden hulled paddlesteamer still operating in the world. Perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony or pre-dinner Wedding cruise, the Adelaide will help to create a unique feel on your special day. PASSENGER NUMBERS PS Adelaide can carry a maximum of 49 passengers, including caterers and entertainers. Charter Rates* 2 hours $1,400 ((minimum 2 hours) 3 hours $ hours to be negotiated. * rates subject to change. ACCESS We are happy to allow you time to decorate the vessel prior to the function. This time must be coordinated with our daily cruise schedule and other bookings, if appropriate. Your guests may begin boarding the Paddlesteamer at Echuca Wharf 15 minutes prior to the time booked. CATERING The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre are able to supply a list of recommended caterers for your function. The Adelaide catering is best suited to cocktail-style due to limited space. ENTERTAINMENT You may wish to bring a small band or sound system on board to provide musical entertainment. We have a small CD player available for more intimate functions.

8 WEDDINGS ON THE WHARF BOOKING AGREEMENT This booking agreement is provided to ensure that your wedding is a success for each member involved. To secure your booking at the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre for a Wedding Ceremony a $ booking fee and a signed Terms & Conditions form is required. Confirmation of final numbers is required 14 days prior to the date of hire. Total numbers are inclusive of children, caterers and entertainers where applicable. At this time the balance of your account is also required. Port of Echuca Discovery Centre reserves the right to increase fees & charges without notice. Payments can be made via cheque, eftpos, credit card or cash. Sorry we do not have direct debit. As the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre is a designated pay-for-entry museum and tourist attraction, the Wharf Hire charge does not provide exclusive use of the Wharf during trading hours of 9am 5pm. The client accepts financial responsibility for any damage caused to the premises, grounds or its fittings and equipment, caused by guests in the course of the function. The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre, including the Echuca Wharf is strictly a non-smoking venue. The client will be responsible for any damage caused by guests smoking. The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre is obligated under the Licensing Act to ensure responsible service of alcohol. Breaches by patrons under the Licensing Act will lead to the termination of a function with no refund applicable. In accordance with Traffic Regulations, vehicles without a permit are not permitted to enter Murray Esplanade between Leslie Street and Hopwood Place between the times of 0930 and 1730 (5.30pm). In accordance with Environmental Operations (Noise Control) Regulation 2000, no offensive noise will be emitted, including, but not limited to, loud amplified music systems. Port of Echuca Discovery Centre reserves the right to refuse entry and terminate service on the grounds of non-compliance with the regulation. All cancellations of confirmed bookings are to be made in writing. The $300 deposit is non-refundable. Due to the historic nature and the rustic construction of the Echuca Wharf some areas may only be accessible when assistance is provided.
