1 CODE OF CONDUCT OF THE Murdoch Univerity Melville Football Club Thi code of conduct bind all member, and for junior member, alo their parent, by virtue of their memberhip of the Club. A breach of thi code of conduct may invoke diciplinary action, and in the extreme may mean termination of their memberhip of the club. By aociation of their memberhip of the Club, a it i affiliated with the FFA, all player are alo bound to abide by the FFA National Code of Conduct. 2 CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS Player hould: Play according to the law and pirit of the game. Be on time and be prepared for matche and training eion. Diplay elf-control in all ituation. Never ue foul or abuive language - before, during or after a game or in a training eion. Train and play to the bet of your ability, have a poitive attitude, and encourage other to do the ame. Repect the oppoition. Treat them, a you would like them to treat you. Repect the referee. Never dipute hi or her deciion. They are only human and they make mitake, jut like you. Turn up for training and matche in the appropriate clothing. If you can t make training inform the coach or team manager. Wear the right footwear. Alway wear hin guard. Clean your own boot/trainer! 3 CODE OF CONDUCT FOR U10 AND ROOBALL PLAYERS When playing football, I will: Alway train and play to the bet of my ability and encourage other to do the ame Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or wate time Repect my teammate, the other team, the referee or my coach/manager Play by the rule, a directed by the referee Shake hand with the other team and referee at the end of the game Liten and repond to what my coach/ team manager tell me Alway wear my hin pad Clean my own boot Don't forget my water bottle Talk to my parent or omeone I trut at MUM FC if I'm unhappy about anything at my club. 4 CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS Be your child' bet fan and upport them unconditionally. When you take your child home after a match or training eion, pleae be upportive and alway focu on the poitive apect of their game. Develop a reponibility in your child to pack hi/her own kit, clean their boot and take a drink bottle (full of water) to practice and game. Repect the facilitie at our opponent ground. Do not criticie your child coach to your child or other parent. If you are not happy with the coach you hould raie the iue with the Technical Director, the Age Coordinator or the coach themelve according the club grievance policy. Encourage your child to peak with the coach. If your child i having difficultie in training or game, or can t attend training etc, encourage them to peak up. Thi reponibility taking i a big part of becoming a mature peron. By handling off the field tak, your child i claiming ownerhip of all apect of the game. Help your child to focu on the performance and not the reult. Remember - winning i not a important a having FUN or their performance. Support all the player in your child' quad. Do not criticie anyone. Remember children don t mean to make mitake. Do not criticie the opponent, their parent or their official. Never audibly dipute a referee deciion. They will make mitake occaionally. We all do. If you abue or hout at the referee you are breaking the rule of the game and rik generating a fine for the club. In extreme circumtance we could even be expelled from the League Parent/carer mut NOT coach from the touchline during matche or training, (but plenty of encouragement). Leave thi to the manager/coach or you may caue confuion and erode your child confidence. Parent/carer mut not enter the field of play during training or game unle aked to do o. 5 CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COACHES AND OFFICIALS A coach' primary reponibility i to make ure that hi/her player have "FUN", develop a footballer and to intil in them a paion for the game. The performance of coache i not meaured in win and loe, but rather in what player learn in term of technique, portmanhip, and fair play. Coache are charged with the reponibility of controlling their player and parent at all time during a match. Coache lead and teach by example; our player will be a reflection upon the manager and coach. Coache will: Ue poitive reinforcement when dealing with player. Never ue foul or abuive language and never abue a player mentally, verbally, or phyically. Have repect for the authority of the referee, our opponent on match day and the official of their club. Teach your children the rule of the game, fair play, and proper behaviour. Develop the child' technique and their deciion-making ability. Inpect the playing area for hazard and generally make practice eion and matche a afe a poible for your children. Be aware, however, that football i a contact port and player may be injured. In addition: The coach hould not allow a child to take part in a practice eion or a match if he/he i injured or doe not have the right clothing, hin pad etc. The coach hould not leave a child unattended at a practice eion or a game. The coach hould only allow a child to leave a practice eion or a game if a reponible peron collect them unle given written permiion for them to leave on their own. The coach will alway be enthuiatic (even in the pouring rain!) but at no time hall we train if there i lightning rik, according to the club lightning policy.
