1 Directions to the Conference European Workshop in Macroeconomics University of Munich, June 2010 From Munich Airport or Central Station to Hotel Carlton Astoria - Take the S-Bahn (high-speed local train) to Marienplatz. The S-Bahn is indicated with a round green S sign - At the airport: There are two S-Bahn lines from the airport: S1 and S8, the S8 is quicker - At the central station: You can take any S-Bahn in the direction of Marienplatz - At Marienplatz change onto the U3 or U6 underground line in the direction of Odeonsplatz - Get off at the next station Odeonsplatz - From there you have to walk up Ludwigstraße in a northward direction until you have to turn left into - After walking a short distance up you have to turn left into Fürstenstraße. The hotel is situated on the right side of the - Taxi rides will not be reimbursed

2 From Munich Airport or Central Station to Center for Advanced Studies - Take the S-Bahn (high-speed local train) to Marienplatz. The S-Bahn is indicated with a round green S sign - At the airport: There are two S-Bahn lines from the airport: S1 and S8, the S8 is quicker - At the central station: You can take any S-Bahn in the direction of Marienplatz - At Marienplatz change onto the U3 or U6 underground line in the direction of Odeonsplatz - Get off at the station Giselastraße, which is the third stop - exit the station in the direction of Martiusstraße - follow the Leopoldstraße until the first crossroads and turn right into the Martiusstraße - follow the Martiusstraß straight into the Thiemestraße - take the first turn left into the Königinstraße and then right into the Mandlstraße

3 From Hotel Carlton Astoria to Center for Advanced Studies By bus (approx. 18 minutes): - turn left into the and at the next crossroads right into the Amalienstraße - go straight until the next possibility to turn right into the Schellingstraße - the Bus stop is a short distance away on the right side of the Schellingstraße - take the bus 154 in the direction of Bruno-Walter-Ring (it leaves every 10 minutes) - exit the bus at Thiemestraße - follow the Thiemestraße in the direction of Englischer Garten - take the first turn left into the Königinstraße and then right into the Mandlstraße

4 On foot (approx. 24 minutes): - turn right into the and at the next possibility left into the Ludwigstraße - cross the Ludwigstraße and follow it until the Professor-Huber-Platz - turn right into the Professor-Huber-Platz and follow the Veterinärstraße to the right - take the second turn to the left into the Königinstraße and go straight until its end - then take the right branch into the Mandlstraße

By subway: From Hotel Carlton Astoria to Osterwaldgarten - turn right into the and at the next possibilitiy left into the Ludwigstraße - follow the Ludwigstraße until the subway station Universität -

5 By subway: From Hotel Carlton Astoria to Osterwaldgarten - turn right into the and at the next possibilitiy left into the Ludwigstraße - follow the Ludwigstraße until the subway station Universität - take the subway U3 or U6 in direction Münchner Freiheit - leave the subway at Münchner Freiheit, the second station, and turn right into Feilitzschstraße - follow the Feilitzschstraße until the very end - then turn left into Keferstraße until you reach Liebergesellstraße - cross Liebergesellstraße - the Osterwaldgarten is on the right-hand side
