4 Chairman s Report A warm welcome to visiting coach Ramon Tribulietx, the Auckland City team, and their supporters today. Welcome to Nelson and we hope you enjoy your stay. The hospitality extended to our travelling fans at your home was second to none and hopefully we do as good a job for you. Nelson Pine LVL Tasman United would like to thank the following funders The trip to Auckland for our lads last week didn t go to plan, and we needed to play out of our skins and have a bit of good fortune to beat a good Eastern Suburbs team. Upon reflection, Eastern were too good for us on the day, with a couple of marginal calls not going out way not helping. Whole of the ball, whole of the line. Auckland City have had tremendous success in the National Premier League over the years for which you all will be familiar. It will be 11 v 11 on the pitch today though, and if our guys can win their individual battles then we can get something from the game who can forget last season s 90 th minute goal to equalise! This is the last home game for the season, so thanks for the best support again in the league. It s been a wonderful year again of highs and lows. Never forget we put a team together 18 months ago, so to still be in the running for the playoffs is an amazing achievement. The committee of volunteers too numerous to name, work tirelessly to put it all together, and the players give up so much to be able to showcase their skills. One man who deserves special praise even though he is a scouse, is our game day manager Tony Naylor. Every decent club has a bloke like this who gets on with things behind the scenes. This game is brought to you by local business Davis Ogilvie, who specialise in all aspects of residential land development. Tony Lindbom and his team have a great business and are great contributors to the region assisting not only Tasman United, but also the Nelson School of Music and Natureland Zoo. Nelson Pine LVL are our naming rights sponsor, Sprig and Fern Brewery and Bayley s are major sponsors, as well as NextGen Energy who are the cheapest power providers in Nelson, Plus 4 for your insurance, Absolute Energy for insulation, NZME, and Bowater Honda for all your vehicle needs. And not to mention all our other fantastic sponsors you will see in the programme and on billboards around the ground. Enjoy the game today and may the best team win. Cheers, Mark Sheehan

6 Coach s comments Introducing Ed the Physio Welcome to Auckland City FC and their supporters. It s great to have them in town. We are very excited to play our last home game of the season against the team that has been the benchmark of NZ football for many years now. The task in front of us is massive, but we wouldn t be in this competition if we didn t believe we are capable of winning every game, and this game is no different. Out players are looking forward to the challenge and I m hoping that they will play with confidence and freedom, and enjoy every minute. Auckland City deserves plenty of respect but at the same time playing against such a quality team should bring the best out of our players. I hope for an entertaining game, good football, and a good result. I d also like to thank our amazing fans for all their support during the season. Myself and the team know you guys are the best in the league, and we love playing in front of you all thank you for everything! All the best to both teams today. Regards, Davor Tavich (Head Coach) Edward Sillars is the Tasman United Physiotherapist. Him and his partner Kimberley recently moved to Nelson from Auckland to start their own Physiotherapy Sports Injury Clinic and have a change of lifestyle. Ed s family is from St Arnaud in the Nelson Lakes, so he has always had a close connection to Nelson and the surrounding areas. They both loved the area so much that last year they decided they wanted to move to Nelson. And so they put in place a plan to set up a clinic near Saxton Fields on Main Road Stoke. Ed s Grandmother was the first Physio in Nelson, working out of a room in the Manuka Street Hospital in They ve come to continue what she started. Together Ed and Kim and completed 15 years of study in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and they have a fully equiped rehabilitation gym, multiple professional treatments rooms, and plenty of parking. And all of their Physiotherapists have postgraduate qualifications specialising in a variety of Sports Medicine, Manipulatie Therapy, Pilates, Gym based rehab and acupuncture. Ed Sillars BHSc(physio), PGDip(muculo), FIFADip(football med), MPNZ graduated from AUT in 2012 with his BHSc and completed his postgraduate diploma of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in He has worked in private practice since then and been involved with football at both domestic and internation level. He is currently the player/physio for Tasman United in the National League and will be a the player/physio for the upcoming Nelson Suburns MPL season. Ed also completed his FIFA diploma of football medicine in Kim Frost BHSc(physio), PGCert(wacup), FIFADip(football med), MPNZ graduated from AUT in 2014 with her BHSc and completed her postgraduate certificate of Western Acupuncture in Kim has worked in multiple private practice clinics and specialises in Musculoskeletal injuries. 7 About our visitors Our visitors today are arguably the best football team in New Zealand, having won the NZ Premiership 6 times out of the 10 years since it started, and they represented the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) in the OFC Champions League, which they won most recently in 2017 for the ninth time (their seventh in a row). In the season they finished 7 th in the FIFA Club World Cup, won the Nike Lunar New Year Cup, won the OFC Champions League, were runners up of the Stirling Sport Premier League, won the minor premiers, and won the NZF Charity Cup. And with players like Zubikarai, Tade, Riera, Lea alafa, Iwata, Hudson-Wihongi, Howieson, Edge, Bilen, and Berlanga, every game they play is a joy to watch. Tasman United are very privileged and proud to now by playing in the same league as Auckland City, and we wish both teams all the very best today.
