2 OLD BUSINESS Treasury Reprt Mr. Cx reprted that FCSI made apprximately $300 selling T-shirts Mrs. Jhnsn was nt at the meeting but reprted that the FCSI accunt balance is $3800. Cmmittee Chairs Mayfest Stacia Jhnsn (See updates belw) Teacher Appreciatin Stacia Jhnsn (N Updates available) Bk Fair Leslie Gamble The bk Schlastic Bk Fair will be scheduled fr the 1 st week in March which is als Read Acrss America Week (Mnday, March 2 nd Thursday, March 5 th ) Leslie will get with Mrs. Dixn-Mkeba t get infrmatin fr the bk fair. Family Events (Mvies, Dances, Family Nights) Next family event is February 27 th Mvie Night 2 mvies will be shwn n Mvie night. Pre-K 2 nd graders will watch a G rated mvie in Mrs. Sistare s class and 3 rd 6 th graders will watch a PG rated mvie (The Leg Mvie) in the gathering area. Fundraising We are still in search f a Cmmittee Chair member fr the Fundraising Cmmittee. If interested please let ne f the Cmmittee fficers knw r discuss during ur next FCSI meeting. Yearbk Ms. DiFrnz indicated that the yearbk is cming tgether very well. She is still searching fr sme pictures frm sme f the classes. Mr. Baughman ffered the use f the pictures n his Facebk page free f charge. HMDB Phtgraphy March 1 st is the deadline fr the yearbk submissin. T-Shirt Bill Outstanding T-Shirt bill fr $ frm 12/10/2007. Mrs. Dixn-Mkeba and William Cx will d additinal research t determine if the T-shirts were actually received by FCSI. The bill will be paid ut f FCSI funds. N new infrmatin at this time. Bi-L Hmetwn Rewards Prgram Ms. Gamble checked int the Bi-l Hmetwn Educatinal Rewards prgram t find ut hw t get CSI registered. CSI has been registered and everyne can nw register CSI using the instructins prvided in the attached flyer. FCSI cmmittee members alng with anyne else interested in assisting with review the FCSI bylaws and make the necessary updates. A meeting will be scheduled t review the bylaws Mr. Baughman and Mrs. Wilsn expressed interest in participating Mrs. Evans class earned the FCSI spnsred party fr having 100% participatin 2

3 Talent Shw Mrs. Clter asked abut the talent shw prcess. Can hld auditins and set up tryuts a few nights each week. Then d a dress rehearsal. T be held 04/24/2015 frm 6-8pm. Mrs. Clter will type up the annuncement and get it t Mrs. Dixn-Mkeba fr distributin. Get the assistance f Mrs. Peele and ther members f faculty and staff t assist. See the attached flyer Mayfest Mayfest is scheduled fr Saturday, May 16, 2015 frm 10am 2pm Mr. Brad Baughman gave an update n the car shw fr Mayfest. There are currently 37 cars interested in participating There are 2 spnsrs and 1 grup spnsr A DJ has vlunteered his services fr the event The deadline fr spnsr registratin is 02/20/2015. See the attached cpy f the spnsrship letter The price f participatin has been increased frm $15 t $20 Mr. Baughman is currently trying t get dnatins fr teacher, kid s pic, and family trphies. A bank accunt has been created and there is currently $25 dnated frm State Farm Mr. Butler will check with the neighbring church and gym abut using their parking lts in additin t the bus parking lt Mr. Baughman is als trying t get the rad behind the schl clsed fr the event as a safety precautin Mr. Baughman s wife is available t assist but they will als need 2 additinal vlunteers t help with car registratins and placing signs n windshields. CSI shuld cntact cmputer cmpanies and let them knw f ur event t raise funds fr a new cmputer and they may be able t assist. New Business Mrs. Evans purchased games fr last mnth s game night. She is ffering FCSI the pprtunity t purchase them. FCSI has agreed t purchase them and get the FCSI cabinets rekeyed s that the games can be lcked in a secure place. Nurse Hurt discussed the changes in the Smart Snack Legislatin and hw fundraising ptins have changed s much. \ Mrs. Dixn-Mkeba will send ut infrmatin n the igive prgram and infrmatin Mrs. Dixn-Mkeba gave an verview f sme f the different events ging n at CSI CSI had 23 student participants in the Midlands Math Meet and 5 kids wn trphies. The new security fficer Mr. Mbley is here at CSI t be practive abut the safety and security here at ur schl. Dn t frget t g t great schls website and prvide feedback abut yur experience with CSI. Currently CSI has a waiting list fr parents interested in sending their students t ur schl. Great Schls is a useful tl that parents use when researching schls available in the area. The schl bard has been lking int a newer lcatin fr CSI Several teachers attended prfessinal develpment cnferences the weekend f February 7, 2015 Remember t attend the schl bard meetings the 2 nd Tuesday f each mnth at 7pm.
