All dates, times, and lcatins are listed n ur registratin page, CLICK BELOW TO REGISTER Is being a Jacksnville Sharks Attack Dancer a full-time jb? N, mst dancers hld part-time r full-time jbs and/r attend cllege. Can yu be a mther and an Attack Dance Team Member? Yes! Many mthers have successfully fulfilled all Attack bligatins. Are there any height and weight requirements? Yu shuld lk well-prprtined in dancewear. We DO NOT have specific height and weight requirements. Are there any age requirements? Yu must be at least 18 by Nvember 3 rd and have high schl diplma r GED by May 31 st, 2019 t auditin. There will be n exceptins. What shuld I wear t auditins? Yu shuld wear: 2-piece attire: Tp: Dance/Athletic Bra Tp Bttm: Ht Pants (N Tank Tps r Bike Shrts) Skin clred Dance Tights (nn-shimmery) Any type f dance she r dance sneaker

2 Where can we find auditin attire? Auditin attire can be fund in dance wear stres, r rdered nline. Our clrs are red, black, grey and white. Our judges will fcus n the fllwing: Dance Technique Enthusiasm Pise Shwmanship Persnal Appearance Figure Persnality Energy High Kicks Splits What are Auditin Prep Classes? Auditin Prep Classes are nn-mandatry. Our FREE dance classes are ffered t prvide excellent preparatin fr the upcming auditin. They are taught by Attack Chregraphers and Grup Leaders during weeks leading up t auditins. Yu may attend ONE nly.

3 If I can t d the splits shuld I try ut? Yes, if yu are a great perfrmer and truly want t be an Attack Dancer yu shuld auditin. Flexibility and splits are REQUIRED by the start f the Arena Ftball seasn in April but cntinual stretching and flexibility wrk can eventually get results. We recmmend that yu stretch warm muscles. Spend a few minutes with activity that des nt require full range f mtin. Then, stretch yur bdy with particular fcus n the hamstrings and hip flexrs. Be cnsistent with yur stretching rutine and never rush the prcess. Injuries will lead t disappintment and set yu back frm yur gal. Hw shuld I wear my make-up? Wear shades that cmplement yur natural beauty. Chse mstly mattes fr eye shadws. A little shimmer is kay but avid a very glittery lk. Eyelashes are a MUST! Cheek and lip clrs shuld be vibrant neutral tnes, avid shades that are lud/bright. Als avid t much cntrast with cnturing and highlighting. Finally, a spray tan! Check Key t Glam They have amazing sprays and have been ur fficial makeup spnsr fr 10 years as well. Hw shuld I wear my hair? Hair shuld be wrn dwn and in a current hairstyle that cmpliments yur features. Make sure yur hair des nt hide yur face. 4 Hw will I knw if my applicatin was received and accepted? Yu will receive an stating that yur applicatin was accepted. Please wait until ne week prir t auditins if yu have nt received this cntact the Jacksnville Sharks Office. Auditin cmmunicatin is thrugh attack@jaxsharks.cm What d I need t bring t preliminaries? Driver's license r passprt fr identificatin (This is required, n exceptins) Please bring 5x7 head sht (nt returnable) t auditins even if yu submitted a pht nline. (Amiel Orpian Phtgrapher n FB fr headshts) Extra tights just in case! Water bttle Lunch and snacks (it will be a lng day) Persnal items: Make up, curling irn, persnal mirrrs etc. What is the auditin prcess? Auditins are a multi-step prcess beginning with Applicatin, Preliminary Auditin, Semi-Final Auditin, Panel Interview, Rehearsal, and Final Talent Auditins fllw fr selected candidates. DO NOT BE LATE! Plan n spending the whle day. Preliminary Dance Auditin: Candidates will have the pprtunity t perfrm a :30 freestyle and dance rutine in grups f 3 fr the judging panel. Yu will als perfrm the dance yu learned at Auditin Prep Class. At the end f the perfrmances, the judge s selectin fr callbacks will be psted.

5 Semi Final Dance Auditin: Learn secnd part f dance taught at Prep Class and kickline. (Yu will be expected t perfrm the dance cmbinatin and kickline many times thrughut the rest f the auditin prcess) Candidates will perfrm the dance cmbinatin and kickline in grups f 3 Judges retire t make finalist selectins Annunce Finalists Finalists have a brief meeting with dancer Directr, Laura Buchy and April Cper t schedule their persnal interview appintment and t discuss Final Auditin Cmpnents, Sl Talent and Panel Interview. Persnal Interview: Panel interview with the judges. Candidates will participate in an interactive interview with selected judges frm the Judging Panel. Talent: Perfrm a ninety secnd individual talent presentatin, (e.g. singing, dancing, dramatic interpretatin). This will be yur pprtunity t impress the judges with yur creativity and talent. All finalists will be respnsible fr ing their music at the apprpriate time. In additin, please bring a CD backup t the final auditin. Yu may wear whatever cstume design yu wish t enhance and cmplement yur perfrmance. If yur talent is singing, make sure there are n lead vcals n yur musical accmpaniment track. Please nte: Hand-held prps nly; d nt incrprate the use f a chair in yur chregraphy. Finals: Perfrm the dance cmbinatin and kickline taught at Semis in grups f 3 n stage. Judges retire t make selectin fr Candidates Attack Dance Team stay fr phts and a brief meeting.

6 If I d nt advance t semi-finals will my applicatin be kept n file? N, yu must re-apply with a new applicatin, nn-returnable pht, and applicatin prcessing fee each year. If I am nt selected as a member f the Attack Dance Team may I call the Jacksnville Sharks ffice t receive my judges cmments? N, the judges sheets are nt kept n file and cmments abut yur auditin are nt available. When d rehearsals begin and where? All rehearsals are held n Mnday and Thursday beginning at 7:30 pm and usually cnclude at 9:30 pm. Yu will be given a schedule f rehearsals at first meeting Nvember 15, The ADT will rehearse at tw lcatins: Dansatins Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksnville, FL and Veterans Memrial Arena. What type f time cmmitment is required if chsen fr the ADT? Ttal cmmitment is required!!!! The Attack schedule and cntract is ne year, and includes There is a pay schedule fr Games, Appearances, Rehearsals, and Camps. The hme game schedule will cnsist f 7 hme games frm April - August, but yur cntract is fr ne year.

7 Are there certain dance mves that I must be able t d at auditins? There are n specific mvements that must be executed at preliminaries. Freestyle dance shuld be a blend f hip-hp/jazz that incrprates mvements that yu feel cmfrtable with technically. At semi-finals, the chregraphy in the dance cmbinatin is different each year. Thrughut auditins, the mst imprtant perfrmance quality is cnfidence. S, with any f the dance elements, use great psture, strng, cntrlled mvements and always, with a smile! May I try ut if I have a tatt r piercing? Yes, yu may try ut if yu have a tatt r piercing. Our plicy is that even the smallest f tatts r piercing may nt be visible in any Attack unifrm r in rehearsal attire. There are many effective prducts available at stres r nline. Additinally, cncealer, fllwed by setting pwder, then brnzer t match clr, can als be effective. D I have t pay fr the unifrm? N, all unifrms, practice attire, warm-ups, earrings, shes, bts, and pms are supplied t each dancer. Yu are respnsible fr the care f the unifrms and attire supplied t yu. What can I d t get ready befre auditins when prep classes aren't ffered? Exercise and start eating healthy! Yu will need t be physically fit. We have a great spnsrship with Orange Thery and they will get yu where yu need t be with cardivascular. Stretch ut after every wrkut. Take dance classes that will teach yu jazz and hip-hp technique.
