With a favorite book in hand, he sneaks out of the room before anyone else is awake, headed for the quiet morning beach. Hypnotized by the sparkling waters, Davey decides to take a little swim. Forget the faded "No swimming" sign! When a strong undertow pulls him further and further out to the sea, Davey frantically learns he is surrounded by treacherous waters and sharks! Now he's fighting just to get out of this alive! Check out "Surrounded by Sharks" by Michael Northrop available at the book fair. Though Raina begged her parents for a little sister, Amara isn't quite what she was picturing. She's little, and she's a sister, but in every other way, she's not living up to Raina's expectations. She likes to be by herself, even when Raina wants to play. She likes to use Raina's stuff, even when Raina says how. And she wants a pet snake, even though Raina thinks snakes are creepy. Even though they are alike, they couldn't be more different. So how will they survive a week-long road trip together? It's going to be a bumpy ride! See how it ends in the book" Sisters" by Raina Telgemeir. Also from Mrs. Rivera tickets for the prescreening of Mockingjay Part 1 are now on sale in the IMC. England's Fleet Prison held inmates who were starved until they caught and ate mice! In France's Bastille, prisoners might be held for decades, never seeing daylight! And it gets even worse!
