All students driving to school must have a parking pass hanging in their car in order to park in the student lot. If they don t have a pass they must see Mrs. Moore in Room 127 ASAP. S he taught elementary school for eight years before receiving her school counseling degree from NKU this past May. Ms. Davis is married and has two children, and is very much looking forward to working with the students and families of GCHS. To register, call or admissions@spalding.edu US Senate Youth Program This program offers two student leaders from each state a $5,000 college scholarship and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to observe the US Senate in action. Any high school junior or senior student is eligible for the program provided he or she has not previously been a delegate to the program and is currently serving in a school wide, district, regional or state ELECTED capacity in a student government, civic, or educational organization. Selected students should also possess a keen interest in government, have above average grades and be very articulate, as they will be participating in discussion groups with national leaders in Washington. 3 GCHS Sports SARAH KELLAM, KY ALL-STATE!!! HEADLINES! Junior Sarah Kellam, a member of the Grant County girls' golf team has been named as one of the ten players to the Kentucky All-State team. The awards banquet will be held on Sunday, October 30 at Big Spring Country Club in Louisville. Sarah is only the second player to be named to the girls' All State team and the first since It goes without saying that we are all very proud of Sarah and the recognition that she has brought to Grant County High School and the girls' golf program. The Grant County Special Olympics will be having a community meeting and signups for their basketball and cheerleading program. It will be held at the Williamstown Senior Center located at 400 N Main Street in Williamstown Ky. The meeting will be held on Friday, November 4, from 6 to 7:30pm. The meeting is open to anyone who has an interest in Special Olympics and its programs including current and potential athletes, current and potential volunteers, coaches, parents, etc. If you would like to play basketball or join our cheerleading squad, please come to the meeting.
