3 V Rear Commodore s Report - Michael Thompson Hello Members I hope you have had a good time out cruising for the holiday weekend. We have a couple events at the club getting ready to start here soon. The first one coming up is the Cigar and Rye night on June 8th. g Getting to know our new members, Sid & Irene Patten Sid and Irene have been married almost 43 years. She is from Canada (we love our Northern Neighbors) and he is a Seattle native.

They are both retired, something many of us strive to be Irene was a Nurse and then a Massage Therapist and Sid was an endodontist (Root Canals).

They have 3 intact females, which proves they are certifiably crazy and will definitely fit in with PSYC They got into sailing through friends of Irene and sailed Hobie Cats.

I might be speculating, but I suspect Sid s patients were referred to Irene after their root canal for a massage. They live on Queen Anne and raise Bernese Mountain Dogs. They have 3 intact females, which proves they are certifiably crazy and will definitely fit in with PSYC They got into sailing through friends of Irene and sailed Hobie Cats. These friends decided to get a larger boat and to circumnavigate the world, which they did. Enroute the friends called them from a winery (obviously they have the same priorities as PSYC) in South Africa and asked if they could meet them in the Caribbean. They were hooked. That fall they purchased a CT 38, which is a fin keel, sloop rigged SWAN knockoff. Irene says it s their Ferrari If you were at the May meeting you ll remember their great boating stories. If you weren t at the meeting all you need to know is avoid them during any docking maneuvers. Nuff said.
