The Williamsburg, Va. native averaged 23.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game and shot 68 percent from the field coming off the bench. Canady poured in a career-high 28 points against Northeastern, which included 22 first half points along with a string of 14 consecutive points. With the Lady Monarchs down 10-4 in the early part of the opening half, Canady went on a 14-1 run of her own to give ODU the lead for good. Against the Blue Hens, the sophomore forward collected her third double-double of the season with 19 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Canady is averaging a team second-best 11.6 points per game all from off the bench. The Virginia Beach, Va. native started the week with a 20-point, seven-rebound effort against James Madison before closing with a 17-point, six rebound performance against VCU. The rookie scored game-high points in both contests last week. Against two of the better teams in the conference, Rodgers shot 58 percent (15-of-26) from the field, including 2-of-3 from long range. She was also 5-of-7 from the free throw line and added three steals, a blocked shot and an assist in the Pride s two contests.

Delaware 37 CONFERENCE NOTES: QUICK HITS FOR THIS WEEK: Old Dominion made the AP Poll home for the 10th consecutive week as they steadied at No. 13, its highest showing in the Top 25 this season, for the second straight week. The Lady Monarchs made jumped to No. 18 in the ESPN/USA Today Poll last Tuesday. CAA women s basketball is ranked 11th in the nation in the RPIRatings.com rankings through games of Jan. 26. Old Dominion leads the conference at #10, while VCU follows at #47. James Madison enters the week with a ranking of 50. Old Dominion and VCU are the only two CAA teams that have not lost a contest on their home court this season. The Lady Monarchs will look to defend their home court record and 17-game winning streak as they host Georgia State and UNC Wilmington this week, while VCU will have only one game this week to defend their 12-game home winning streak when they host Towson on Thursday evening. Towson and VCU, both 6-1 in the league, will play each other in Richmond, Va., on Thursday in search for sole possession of second place in the standings. The CAA Weekly Telephonic press conference will continue on Tuesday, Jan. 29. James Madison traveled to Towson and ruined the Tiger s 10-game winning streak on Sunday with a victory. James Madison s Tamera Young became the Dukes all-time leading scorer in the opening 3:13 of the match-up against Hofstra. Young surpassed the school record of 1,760 set last season by 2007 CAA Player of the Year Meredith Alexis with back-to-back three-pointers. William & Mary s Kyra Kaylor, made 10 free throws last week and broke the CAA s record for career free throws made, increasing her total to 479. 3 CAA Weekly Report WOMEN S BASKETBALL Jan. 28, 2008 WEEKLY TELECONFERENCE The CAA weekly telephonic press conferences for basketball began on Tuesday, January 8 and will continue each Tuesday until March 4. The men s call takes place from 10 a.m. - Noon, with all 12 CAA coaches available in 10-minute segments. In addition to the men s coaches, the CAA will also involve women s coaches in the calls again this season. Each Tuesday at noon, three women s coaches will be available for minutes to discuss their teams and the league in general. The weekly telephonic press conferences will be archived on CAAsports.com. James Madison follows at 41, Delaware at 58 and Hofstra has played the 90th toughest schedule in the nation. TV EXPOSURE: CAA women s basketball increased its television exposure with 21 games on the air this season. All 12 teams will make least one television appearance. CAA women s basketball has a pair of televised games scheduled for the upcoming weekend. On Feb. 10, Northeastern will visit Hofstra and the Noon tip will be broadcast on Fox SportsNet New York. Following that match-up, William & Mary will visit Old Dominion and the 2:00 p.m. contest will air on WSKY in the Hampton Roads area. CAA TEAMS AMONG THE NCAA STATISTICAL LEADERS (Top 10): Through games of Jan. 27, James Madison is ranked third in the nation as the Dukes currently outrebound their opponents by a margin of 12.1 boards per game. Towson steadied at fourth in the nation as they average 13.6 steals an outing. The Drexel Dragons are sixth in the nation shooting 78.5 percent from the free throw line, while Northeastern follows at ninth as they are shooting 77.6 from the charity stripe. CAA INDIVIDUALS AMONG THE NCAA STATISTICAL LEADERS (Top 20): Delaware s Kyle DeHaven leads the country snatching 4.5 steals per game. CAA 2008 CHAMPIONSHIP: The CAA Championship will be hosted by the University of Delaware for the second straight season March 13-16, All 12 teams will participate in the thrilling event, which will be held at the Bob Carpenter Center. CAA VS NCAA TOURNAMENT TEAMS: The CAA have posted a mark against teams which made an appearance in the 2007 NCAA Division I Women s Basketball Championship. In the opening week, Delaware defeated Delaware State, James Madison was victorious over Harvard, Northeastern collected a win over Coppin State, and Old Dominion defeated Middle Tennessee. Three wins came on CAA home courts, while Northeastern earned a victory over CSU on a neutral floor and Old Dominion defeated East Carolina, 88-66, on the road. George Mason fell to #9 Georgia in Athens, Ga. In week two of the new season, the Dukes posted a victory over UMBC, while Delaware fell to both #3 Maryland and TCU in the Preseason WNIT. In week three, the CAA squads played some of the toughest teams in the nation. Georgia State dropped a tough match to #5 North Carolina, while Hofstra fell to Harvard in the championship game of the Dead River Classic and Delaware lost to Louisville at the Panera Bread Challenge. George Mason defeated UMBC at home in a close victory. Old Dominion fell to #2 Connecticut and #4 Stanford at the Paradise Jam. The Lady Monarchs finished the tournament defeating #22 Purdue. The Tribe of William & Mary then fell to Marquette in a road contest, James Madison improved to 5-0 with an victory over #14 George Washington on Nov. 27. ODU defeated #19 Michigan State, 79-73, on its home court on Dec. 2. The Lady Monarchs continued their strong non-conference schedule, but fell to #1 Tennessee, 83-51, on Dec. 5 and Towson dropped a decision to New Mexico on the road. Towson defeated UMBC, 69-61, at home on Dec. 19. The Lady Monarchs defeated Delaware State, 70-28, but JMU fell in a close contest at home to #4 Maryland, 71-65, on Dec. 20. UNC Wilmington collected a home victory over East Carolina. Delaware fell to Bowling Green, 64-54, on Friday, Dec. 21. The Lady Monarchs fell to #2 Connecticut and #4 Stanford at the Paradise Jam over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. George Mason fell to #9 Georgia, Georgia State lost to #6 North Carolina, and Delaware fell to #3 Maryland. ODU recently fell to top-ranked Tennessee last Wednesday evening on the road. No. 4 Maryland was challenged by James Madison in Harrisonburg, but the Terps came out on top with a win on Dec. 20. Delaware dropped a decision to #23 Arkansas at the Blue Sky Tournament on Dec. 29. CAA TEAMS UP WITH GIRL SCOUTS: For the 15th consecutive year, the Colonial Athletic Association and Girl Scouts of the USA are teaming up for the Be Your Best partnership. Each CAA institution has designated a women s basketball game this season as Girl Scout Appreciation Day, with the goal of teaching girls the many benefits that can be gained from participating in athletics. Girl Scouts are invited to attend the games and cheer for their favorite CAA team. A variety of activities are planned in conjunction with the games, including autograph sessions with players, instructional clinics with coaches and spirit contests. George Mason will host their Girl Scout Appreciation Day this Sunday (Feb. 3). For complete information, including special events in conjunction with the games, visit CAA TEAMS UP WBCA FOR THINK PINK: All 12 CAA women s basketball programs have committed to participate in a variety of different ways to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The week set aside for this year s initiative is February 8-17, however many schools are participating outside of that window due to the scheduling conflicts. Over 600 schools have already committed to participate nationwide in the 2008 WBCA s Think Pink initiative. William & Mary will hold its Think Pink Day on Sunday, Feb. 3 when they host Drexel. ODU CAPTURES 16TH STRAIGHT CAA TITLE: Old Dominion edged James Madison in another thrilling title game to capture its NCAA record 16th consecutive CAA championship. The Lady Monarchs have never lost a CAA Tournament game since joining the league back in With the win, ODU advanced to its 24th NCAA Tournament, which ranks as the third-most appearances in Division I behind only Tennessee and Louisiana Tech. Old Dominion, which earned the CAA s automatic bid, was joined by James Madison and Delaware in the field of 64. Hofstra represented the CAA in the Women s National Invitation Tournament, which marked the second straight season the CAA had four women s basketball teams advance to postseason play. The Lady Monarchs made their 16th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 24th overall. James Madison made its seventh NCAA appearance, but first since the last time the CAA had more than one team in the NCAA Women s Tournament. Delaware made its second trip to the Big Dance which was its first since winning the America East automatic bid in Hofstra made its second straight appearance in the WNIT. Hofstra advanced to the quarterfinals of the WNIT with wins over Seton Hall and South Carolina. The Pride fell to Western Kentucky, 72-54, in the quarterfinals. DELAWARE (4-15, 3-4 CAA) The Blue Hens won their second straight CAA contest on Thursday as they defeated Georgia State, 71-57, in Atlanta on Thursday, but suffered a loss to #13 Old Dominion at home. Freshman guard Vanessa Kabongo and sophomore guard Corinthia Benison tallied 10 points each for the Hens, while sophomore forward Sha Ron Harrison collected eight points and four rebounds and senior forward Courtney Irving added seven points and six boards. DeHaven drained all of Delaware s four three-pointers, the most trifectas the Hens have hit this season. The Blue Hens shot a season-high 50.9 percent from the floor, including 57.1 percent in the first half. Against the nationally-ranked Lady Monarchs, the Blue Hens were unable to keep there momentum as they scored their fewest points ever at the Bob Carpenter Center. Delaware also posted its lowest field goal percentage (.203) in school history. Harrison led UD with team highs of 1 points and six rebounds, while Benison netted seven points and freshman forward Ariene Jenkins tallied six points and six boards against ODU. The Hens embark on a northeastern road trip this week as they visit Hofstra on Thursday, for a Noon tip, before traveling to Boston for a Sunday showdown with Northeastern. DREXEL (10-8, 5-2 CAA) After a 5-0 start in conference play, the Dragons lost a pair of close conference outings last week. Drexel s nine-game winning streak and perfect CAA record were spoiled when the Dragons fell to Towson, 57-52, in overtime on Thursday. The Tribe of William & Mary handed the Dragons their second CAA loss of the season as Drexel dropped a decision at home on Sunday. In Towson, sophomore forward Gabriela Marginean led the Dragons with 15 points. She knocked down two free-throws with 28 seconds to tie the game and had a key steal with four seconds left in regulation that helped send it into overtime. Marginean added seven rebounds before fouling out in the overtime period. Hester added 11 points for the Dragons, who lost for the first time since a setback against Dayton on December 8, The Dragons shot below 40 percent from the floor in its loss to Towson. It was the first time since the set back to Dayton. In the loss to the Tribe, Drexel rallied from a six-point deficit with less than three minutes remaining and a four-point disparity with just 24 seconds left. Drexel had an opportunity to tie the game with nine ticks left and the ball under its own basket, but a pair or miscues resulted in the team s second excruciatingly close loss in as many games. Marginean recorded her fourth double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Jasmina Rosseel scored nine of her 10 points in the second half and was a key player in the team s comeback. Brooke Cornish blocked four shots, three of them in less than a minute on back-to-back W&M possessions. Her four blocks matched a career high. Senior guard Narissa Suber scored her 1,300th career point against William & Mary on Sunday. She now has 1,302 and ranks seventh among Drexel s all-time scoring leaders. The Dragons will hit the road for a pair of conference outings this weekend. Drexel will first visit Northeastern on Thursday before playing Hofstra on Sunday in Hempstead, N.Y. GEORGE MASON (8-10, 2-5 CAA) George Mason split on the week as it earned its second CAA victory with a win over William & Mary at home on Thursday, before falling to UNC Wilmington on the road, 63-47, on Sunday. The Patriots put together an 18-1 scoring run to help push past the Tribe. Mason was led on offense by senior Lateisha Wade, who scored 12 points, including an 8-for-9 showing at the free throw line, while classmate Moni Akintunde pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. The 42 points and 25 percent field goal shooting allowed was a season-low, while Mason swiped 16 steals, the most since recording 18 takeaways against Hofstra on Feb. 1, Against the Seahawks, Wade recorded her 13th game this season with double-figure scoring, but the Patriots could not match the 52.3 percent field goal shooting of the Seahawks. Wade finished the game with 17 points for the Patriots. This week, Mason travels to James Madison on Thursday before hosting VCU on Sunday. Mason will try to break the Patriots women s basketball single game attendance record of 3,153 with Pack the House Day. Mason will also host Girl Scout Day on Sunday. GEORGIA STATE (5-13, 2-5 CAA) Georgia State split on the week in conference play as they fell to Delaware in CAA play, 71-57, on Thursday, but rebounded for a victory over Northeastern on Sunday. Against the Blue Hens, Georgia State hit just 25.8 percent in the first half and 33 percent for the evening, while Delaware shot 57 percent in the first half and 51 percent for the game. Georgia State got 13 points from freshman guard Traci Haltiwanger and 10 points from junior guard Brittany Hollins. Georgia State held a rebound advantage with 25 offensive rebounds. In the win over the Huskies, Georgia State was led by Hollins with 20 points, four steals and four assists. A pair of Panther post players had double-double efforts with freshman forward Chandra Harris scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds and sophomore forward

The Panthers held a commanding rebound advantage with 21 offensive boards. State shot 53 percent in the second half (18-of-34) en route to the season-best 51-point half. The 77 points scored Sunday were a season-high for the team. The young Panther squad is starting two juniors, two sophomores and a freshman. The freshmen and sophomores have combined for 2,354 of the 3,600 minutes (65.4% of the playing time), have combined for 664 points (62.6 % of team total) and have combined for 437 rebounds (62.8% of the team total). The Panthers will have a re-match with league leader Old Dominion on Thursday in Norfolk, before having even played four CAA teams one time (Drexel, George Mason, UNC Wilmington and Towson. Georgia State will host Towson on Sunday in Atlanta. HOFSTRA (3-15, 1-6 CAA) Hofstra saw its losing streak reach four games and the Pride traveled to James Madison and Virginia Commonwealth and dropped both contests. The Pride fell to the Dukes, 80-64, Thursday before losing a decision to VCU on Sunday. Freshman forward Britne Rodgers led Hofstra with 20 points and seven rebounds against the Dukes, while junior guard Niki Williams added 12 points and five assists. The game against James Madison ended a string of three consecutive contests in which the Pride had led at halftime. Against the Rams, VCU pulled away late and captured a decision over the Pride. Rodgers had 17 points and six rebounds in that contest, while sophomore guard Sam Brigham chipped in with 13 points. Freshman guard Candice Bellocchio had a solid all-around outing against the Rams as she contributed eight points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals. The assist total marked a new season-high for the Staten Island native. Rodgers has now scored in double figures in four of the past five games and eight times overall this season. Hofstra returns to action on Thursday when they host Delaware at noon on What I Want To Be Career Day. The Pride will also host Drexel this week, as the Dragons will visit Hempstead on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip. JAMES MADISON (12-6, 5-2 CAA) James Madison improved to 5-2 in conference play as they downed Hofstra on Thursday evening and earned a come-from-behind victory over Towson on Sunday. Senior guard Tamera Young became the all-time leading scorer in school history on Thursday. The senior knocked-down back-to-back three pointers in the opening 3:13 of the game against Hofstra to push her career points total to 1,761. In doing so she surpassed the school record of 1,760 set last season by 2007 CAA Player of the Year Meredith Alexis. Young scored nine of her team s first 10 points and had 18 points by halftime. The CAA s leading scorer (20.4) and rebounder (9.7) finished the game with 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and a blocked shot. In addition to Young, three other Dukes earned double-digit points. Freshman Lauren Jimenez scored a game-high tying 20 points, Jennifer Brown added a career-high 12 and Jasmin Lawrence posted 10. Nina Uqdah led the Dukes on the boards with 12, while Kisha Stokes dished out a team-high six assists. On Sunday, Young scored 29 points and had 13 rebounds (ninth doubledouble of the season) and Uqdah upped her career high with 16 rebounds to lead James Madison to a win at Towson. The Dukes, who trailed by as many as eight points in the first half and seven in the second, outscored Towson in the final 9:16 to clinch the win. Young scored 22 of her points in the second half, including 16 of the Dukes last 20 points. She extended her school record of consecutive games scoring in double figures to 33. Young was JMU s only player scoring in double figures. Jimenez added eight and Brown finished with seven, along with nine rebounds. Brown finished the week with three blocked shots and is now in sole possession of fifth place on JMU s career list with 78. The victory ended a 10- game winning streak for Towson, which entered the game tied for first in the league at 6-0. Young s career points total now stands at 1,803. She also leaped from sixth to fourth on the CAA all-time leading scorers career list. The senior was shooting only 5.7 percent (2-of-35) from long range in JMU s first 15 games, but in the last three contests Young s shooting 50 percent (6-of-12) from three-point range. The Dukes will host George Mason Thursday and then travel to Williamsburg for a Sunday match-up against William & Mary.

UNC Wilmington fell to a tough VCU squad, 73-52, on Thursday evening at Trask Coliseum, before downing George Mason, 63-47, on Sunday. Against the Rams, freshman forward Brittany Blackwell paced the Seahawks with 13 points followed by junior forward Sahsha Taylor with 12 points. Freshman center Martha White added a careerhigh nine points in 11 minutes. The Seahawks shot 45.3 percent from the floor, but missed all seven of their 3-point attempts in the game. Freshman playmaker Sheronda McLean led the Seahawks with four assists. Sophomore guard Candace Walker had a team-high nine rebounds for UNCW. The Seahawks outrebounded the Rams, On Sunday, sophomore guard Greta Luksyte scored a gamehigh 20 points and Blackwell added 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds in the CAA win. Luksyte was 4-of-7 from three-point range and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line to pace a UNCW attack shot 52.3 percent from the field while Blackwell s nine rebounds highlighted a advantage for UNCW on the glass. Junior forward Sahsha Taylor joined Luksyte and Blackwell in double figures with 12 points. Taylor and Blackwell both dished out a game-high four assists. Head coach Ann Hancock used her fifth different lineup in the last six games against the Patriots. Hancock had used the same starting lineup for the first 13 games of the season, before the recent switch. UNCW returns to action this week with a pair of CAA road games in Virginia. The Seahawks open the two-game swing Thursday with a CAA contest at William & Mary before taking on No. 13 Old Dominion in Norfolk on Sunday. NORTHEASTERN (5-12, 0-7 CAA) Northeastern struggled to find its first conference win of the season as the Huskies dropped an decision to a tough #13 Old Dominion squad on Thursday and then lost a close match-up against Georgia State, 77-74, in Atlanta on Sunday. Northeastern hung tough with Old Dominion early on, trailing just at the 11:44 mark of the first half, but ODU s size advantage over the Huskies eventually began to show as Jessica Canady dominated inside. The sophomore scored 28 points and the Lady Monarchs outscored the Huskies in the paint Typically a strong long-range shooting squad, the Huskies struggled shooting just 3-of-17 from beyond the arc on Thursday. Old Dominion held the Northeastern starting line-up all to single digit scoring. Senior guard Lucia Pablos was the lone Husky notching double figures, coming off the NU bench for 10 points along with four of the Huskies five assists on the evening. The senior was held to under doublefigure scoring for the past three contests and prior to that streak she had averaged 18.6 points per game over the previous five outings. On Sunday, the Huskies had five players score in double-figures for the third time this season, led by freshman Jasmine Crew s 14-point performance. The Huskies took a three-point lead into halftime despite only shooting 38.7 percent. In the second stanza, NU shot 50 percent and nearly overcame a deficit with :35 seconds remaining, but came up short. Georgia State s 14-6 advantage in made foul shots proved to be the difference. The Huskies will host a pair of home contests this week as they welcome Drexel on Thursday and Delaware on Sunday in CAA action. #13 OLD DOMINION (16-3, 7-0 CAA) The No. 13 Old Dominion women s basketball team improved to 16-3 overall and became the lone team in the CAA without a conference loss at 7-0 with wins at Northeastern and Delaware. The Lady Monarchs, who posted back-to-back 30+ point victories, are winners in their last ten contests and in 13 of their last 14 games. In the win at Northeastern Thursday, sophomore Jessica Canady came off the Lady Monarch bench to net a career-high 28 points. Canady finished the night 10-of-14 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. Twenty-two of her career-high 28 points came in the first half, including a run of 14 straight points. With the Lady Monarchs down 10-4 in the early part of the opening half, Canady went on a 14-1 run of her own to give Old Dominion the lead for good. At the half, Old Dominion owned a lead, the Lady Monarchs largest halftime point total of the season. In the second half, the Huskies got no closer than 13. Canady was one of three Lady Monarchs in double figures. Senior Shahida Williams finished the night with 13 points, including 10 second-half points, and junior Jen Nuzzo poured in 10 from off the bench. Walters added 10 points as the other Lady Monarch in double figures. It was Delaware s second biggest loss at the Bob Carpenter Center Blue Hens and lowest point total on their home court. The Old Dominion defense kept Delaware to a season-low 20 percent from the field (12-of-59) and the Blue Hens to only three assists all afternoon. Kyle DeHaven, Delaware s leading scorer at 11.8 points, was limited to a season-low two points on 1-of-14 shooting. Old Dominion jumped out to a quick 13-4 lead and cruised to a advantage at halftime. The Lady Monarchs kept the Blue Hens without a field goal over the final 7:43 of the first half. Old Dominion kept the pressure on and led by as many as 42 points in the second half. The No. 13 Old Dominion women s basketball team returns home for its next two games closing out a pair of season series. The Lady Monarchs host Georgia State on Thursday and UNC Wilmington on Sunday looking to extend their 17-game winning streak at home and extending their unbeaten record in conference play. TOWSON (14-4, 6-1 CAA) The Tigers split a pair of games last week to improve to 14-4 overall on the season and 6-1 in the CAA. After beating Drexel by in overtime on Thursday night, the Tigers had their 10-game win streak snapped with a tough loss against James Madison on Sunday afternoon. The loss was the first for the Tigers since December 8 against the University of New Mexico. The 10-game win streak is the second-longest streak in the program s history and the best for the Tigers as a Division I program. The program record for consecutive wins is 14, which was set from February 23, 1979 to January 15, Against the Dragons, the Tigers played their first overtime game since November 25 of last season when they defeated Loyola (Md.) by at Reitz Arena. The Tigers earned the victory by outscoring Drexel in the extra session after being held to just 16 points in the second half. Junior guard Alis Freeman scored five of her eight points in the overtime period to lead the Tigers while sophomore forward Kandace Davis had a team-high 14 points in the victory. On Sunday afternoon, the Tigers led James Madison by at the half-time intermission before the Dukes made a furious rally over the final 10:35 of the game. The Dukes outscored the Tigers by in the final 10:35 to earn the victory. Senior guard Holly Mahan recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 rebounds, matching her rebounding season high. Davis also added her fourth double-double of the year with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman guard Omara Parker tallied a season-high eight points in the loss for Towson. The Tigers held James Madison to nearly 14 points below its season average. The CAA leader in scoring offense, James Madison entered the game averaging 73.5 points per contest. It was the first time a Towson opponent had scored 60 or more points since allowing 61 points in a win over UMBC on December 19. The loss also snapped the Tigers six-game home win streak. Scott Day sdday@vcu.edu William & Mary...Rob Turner rrturn@wm.edu VCU (16-2, 6-1 CAA) Virginia Commonwealth improved to 6-1 in conference play as they defeated UNC Wilmington on Thursday, 73-52, and then earned a victory at home over Hofstra on Sunday. Four players scored in double-figures to lead the Rams in Wilmington. Sophomore guard La Tavia Rorie led all scorers with a career-high 17 points. Junior center Quanitra Hollingsworth added her school-record 33rd career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. It was her eighth double-double of the season, but her first since Jan. 6 at Northeastern. Also in double-figures for the Rams were junior forward Radoslava Bachvarova and sophomore guard Kita Waller with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Against the Pride, Waller stepped it up and recorded her first career double-double to lead the Rams to the win. Waller led the way for VCU with 15 points, five assists and a career-high 12 rebounds. In addition, the Rams picked up another solid outing from Hollingsworth who tallied a team-high 16 points and added eight rebounds. With the Rams two victories last week, VCU has now limited 15 of 18 opponents to 60 points or less. The Rams have also won 12 straight home games, the longest home winning streak since

WILLIAM & MARY (9-10, 3-4 CAA) The Tribe fell to George Mason, 47-42, on Thursday evening, but rebounded with a tough victory at Drexel on Sunday. Senior Kyra Kaylor led the Tribe with her fifth double-double of the season, totaling a game-high 15 points, 10 rebounds and four steals against the Patriots on Thursday. With six made free throws, Kaylor tied for made free throws in a career on the CAA all-time list with 475. Sophomore Kelly Heath also finished in double figures scoring with 12 points, while senior Devin James and junior Courtney Portell both registered three steals apiece. As a team, W&M dominated the boards, 45-35, and snared 19 offensive rebounds. Additionally, the College limited GMU (8-9, 2-4) to just 32.6 percent shooting and tallied 14 steals. Against Drexel, Kaylor scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Tribe to the victory. In addition to being the contest s leading scorer, Kaylor registered eight rebounds and a pair of steals. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native also broke the CAA s record for career free throws made, increasing her total to 479. Senior Devin James and sophomore Kelly Heath also finished in double figures scoring with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Kaylor sets her goals high for this week as she only needs 24 more rebounds to set the program s all-time record, while Portell needs just needs 10 more three-pointers to se the school s single-season record. The Tribe will host UNC Wilmington Thursday before entertaining James Madison on Sunday in Williamsburg.
