A wonderful cold, but sunny day. Excellent Food, definitely would go back! 22 Members and Guests attended. We raised $50 for the NRL Charity Fund. Thanks to Di for the recommendation! 2. Valentines Dance Knights of Columbus, Itasca. 16 Corvette Family members and Friends. 3. Pinstripes Brunch and Bowling 15 Members and Guests attended. Nine brave bowlers took to the lanes and we had a great time. Raised $27 for our Charity fund. Tried something new with poker bowling, double winner, highest combined game score and best poker hand Julie (Ed and Terry s daughter). Nice Job! 4. Midwest Region Awards Banquet. This year s event featured a DJ and Magician he was amazing! Linda came in 2 nd for Ladies across the region. She had 126 Events and 1272 Points. Top winner, Carolyn Samuelson with 150 Events and 1561 Points. Looking forward to 2013 Racing and Rallyes! 5. Quattro de Mayo Thank you to the 25 members and guests who made our Mexican Fiesta so much fun! We raised $37 for our Charity Fund; from the special Jumping Bean Guessing Contest (aka 50/50); and it was great to hear so many beautiful Mexican names! 6. Our April Food Drive brought in 151 pound of food and products for Northern Illinois Food Bank Thank You! 7. Galena Cruise and Wine Tasting Thank you Ed and Terry for such a special trip. 8 members took the cruise on a beautiful sunny day. Fantastic time! 8. NRL and Badger State Rallye, 7 members and guests attended another beautiful day driving through the countryside. 9. Autocross in Rantoul, 6 members attended. Paula made her first run of the 2013 season! Very Cool! Wonderful dinner at El Toro. 10. NCCC Convention in Bowling Green, KY Linda, Ski, Sue and Pat attended. Linda received honors for being in the National Top 15 for Women in racing competition Congratulations to Linda! 11. Niles 4 th of July Parade 18 and ¼ cars participated! Special thanks to Ken for coordinating this event with Niles; and to Ski and Linda for hosting celebration picnic. Excellent day! 12. Summer Food Drive for Northern Illinois Food Bank Thank YOU! We donated another 78 pounds of food to help the less fortunate. Nice Work! 13. Post Time at Balmoral Low Speed in Crete, IL Excellent Support for this fun and fund raising event. 15 NRL Members and Guests covered everything from Registration, Tech and Staging to Photos and Dinner Host! Wonderful Team Achievement! 14. NRL Picnic hosted by Ed and Terri Meyers 28 Members and Guests attended and made the day so special. Ed and Terri really know how to turn a cool summer day around and make it Fun in the Sun! Thank You so much for your hospitality! P.S. Love the new House! 15. Cruise to ALMS at Elkhart Lake, Thanks to Dan for coordinating this ride! There were 8 beautiful Corvettes and three BMWs in the caravan. Only bad news was the rain but the race went on!

10 NRL 2013 Picnic Saturday, July 27th Thank you ED and TERRI!!! What a wonderful Day! The weather was cool but the sun was warm. We started out from Starbucks with a group drive up to Volo and the Car Museum there. After a nice visit with some beautiful old cars we made it over to Ed and Terri s place. The Cottage was ready for a party with all kinds of tasty dishes. Thanks for everyone for sharing their special recipes! It was a wonderful surprise to see Russ and Linda Kunke visiting from Florida! We were so happy to see Mike and Judy Jensen out for the day too! There as quite a group, 28 all together had to split up for the boat tour thanks to Captain Ed for the fun ride!

Box 455, Itasca, Illinois, Dear Corvette Enthusiast, If you are interested in a Corvette Club that is dedicated to having fun with their cars, I d like to extend to you an invitation to attend a meeting of Northern Rays Ltd Corvette Club. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in a private room at Pop s Pizza and Sports Bar, located at 817 E. Nerge Rd., Roselle, Il at 7:30pm. The Northern Rays Corvette Club consists of men and women of all ages who like to get together for the purpose of enjoying themselves and their Corvettes. Our club participates in car shows, autocross events, drag races, caravans, and parades just to name a few of our activities. Northern Rays was established in 1972, and is one of the older Corvette Clubs in the Chicagoland area. We are a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC).
