The program has successfully completed eight service projects including trips to Guatemala, Macedonia, Ethiopia, Costa Rica and most recently the Dominican Republic. Throughout those trips, over 100 student-athletes were able to experience life in a distinct culture, learn about the impact of their work on a community and interact outside of the university context to maximize the intercultural experience. This year marked the first time in the program s history that Oregon State Athletics has sponsored two Beavers Without Borders trips. In June, 21 athletes made the trip to Costa Rica, with another 10 heading to the Dominican Republic in August.
