Two Tigers have started all 45 games so far in OF Anfernee Grier and SS Cody Nulph. Auburn is currently on a five-game winning streak, during which the Tigers have never trailed. Auburn has posted a 1.00 ERA during the streak, lowering the team s ERA from 3.61 to 3.31 for the year. The team has batted.297 during the streak. Grier leads the SEC with 19 doubles and 65 hits, totals that rank eighth and 15th in the country. Auburn s pitching staff currently holds a 3.31 ERA, which if it stands would be the lowest since Auburn s 3-game sweep of Georgia was its first SEC series sweep since winning all three against Tennessee from April 27-29, 2012 at Plainsman Park and the Tigers first sweep of the Bulldogs since Auburn has held opponents to two or fewer runs in five consecutive games for the first time since Feb. 25-March 4, Auburn is 18-2 when playing error-free baseball this season. In its 29 wins, Auburn has compiled a.986 fielding percentage with 15 errors. In their 16 losses, the Tigers have fielded at a.957 clip with 26 errors. With 29 bunt singles on the season, Auburn is leads the SEC and ranks second nationally behind Campbell (33). Auburn is 26-2 when leading after six innings, 24-3 when leading after seven and 24-0 when leading after the eighth. With 29 overall wins and 10 SEC wins, Auburn has surpassed its overall win total from all of 2014 and equaled its SEC total. Auburn is currently 29-16, making this the first time since 2010 that Auburn has been 13 games over.500 at any point during the season. 4 2015 AUBURN BASEBALL GAME NOTES 29 SUNNY GOLLOWAY HEAD COACH THE AUBURN SKIPPER Three-time Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year (1998, 2001, 2010) Four-time Mid-Continent Conference Coach of the Year (1998, 1999, 2000, 2002) Two-time NBC Coach of the Year (1993, 1994) Sunny Golloway, who enters his second season on the Plains in 2015, was named Auburn s 17th head baseball coach on June 14, Golloway spent the previous eight seasons ( ) as head coach at the University of Oklahoma, where he led the Sooners to seven NCAA Regional berths, four NCAA Super Regionals and the 2010 College World Series. The goal in this search was to find a proven winner who can put our baseball program in a position to compete for championships, and we found our man in Coach Golloway... After having the chance to hear his vision for Auburn baseball, there is no doubt in my mind he has the tenacity, the passion and the drive to get our program back to a level that matches our strong baseball heritage. - Auburn Athletics Director Jay Jacobs GOLLOWAY IS A REGIONAL REGULAR Golloway has been a proven winner at each of his head coaching stops. In 17 full seasons as a head coach - eight seasons each at Oklahoma and Oral Roberts as well as one at Auburn - Golloway has amassed a record of (.660), including 12 seasons with at least 40 wins entering the 2015 season. He recorded a mark of (.656) in eight-plus seasons as the Oklahoma head coach, an average of more than 40 wins per season. Prior to the 2013 season, Golloway s winning percentage ranked No. 15 nationally among active head coaches. GOLLOWAY IN 19th SEASON AS HEAD COACH In 2013 at Oklahoma, Golloway led the Sooners to a overall record, a Big 12 Tournament title, an NCAA Regional title and a Super Regional appearance. His final team at Oklahoma also produced a pair of All-Americans, including pitcher Jonathan Gray, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Under Golloway, Oklahoma posted the program s fifth-straight 40-win regular season in 2013, making Oklahoma one of a few programs nationally to win at least 40 games in five consecutive years. The Sooners finished third in the Big 12 standings while making the program s sixth-straight NCAA postseason appearance (36th overall). OU finished the 2013 campaign ranked as high as No. 18 in the nation after falling to LSU in the NCAA Baton Rouge Super Regional. The Sooners hosted three NCAA Regionals under Golloway while appearing in the program s only Super Regional appearances (2006, 2010, 2012 and 2013) and making it back to the College World Series in 2010 for the first time since BIG LEAGUE GUIDANCE Golloway has produced 83 MLB draft picks in his 18-year tenure as a collegiate head coach, and a total of 116 players have been draft selections in his 23 years in college baseball. He has also coached 95 all-conference selections between his three head coaching stops, including 61 All-Big 12 selections at Oklahoma from Three of OU s recruiting classes under Golloway were ranked in the top 10 in Collegiate Baseball s national rankings, including the 2007 group of newcomers that was tabbed the fourth best in the country, the highest ranking since 1987 and tied for the second best in program history. At ORU, Golloway posted a mark of (.682). He coached 16 All-Americans, three Freshman All-Americans and 26 of his ORU players were drafted or signed professional contracts. He was honored four times as Mid-Continent Conference Coach of the Year by his peers (1998, 1999, 2000, 2002). Golloway is a former Team USA assistant and head coach of several collegiate summer teams. In the summer of 2002, he was selected to serve as pitching coach for the USA Baseball National Team. Under his direction, the team recorded the lowest ERA in its history. Golloway also helped team USA to a silver medal. FAMILY MAN Coach Golloway and his wife, Charlotte, have three children: Sunni Kate, Taylor and Callen. Golloway has 23 years experience as a collegiate coach. He served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma from , helping lead the Sooners to three trips to the College World Series in those four years and a national title in He took over as head coach at Oral Roberts in 1996, and the Golden Eagles won the Mid-Continent Conference title and advanced to an NCAA Regional in each of his final six seasons at ORU. 4

Ohio State NEWS & NOTES D-ROB RACKS UP RBIs Sophomore IF Daniel Robert has batted.452 (14-for-31) in the last 10 games, including a.556 (5-for-9) mark in the Georgia series. He has driven in 11 runs and scored seven times in that 10-game period. Robert racked up the first pair of three-rbi games in his Auburn career in both games of the Alabama A&M doubleheader on April 15. The sophomore from Hoover, Ala. walked three times and hit a three-run home run in game one and had three RBIs in four at-bats in game two. GRAY LEADS THE WAY Melvin Gray is currently riding a 12-game hitting streak. During the streak, Gray has gone 17-for-41 (.415) at the plate with three doubles, six RBIs and 10 runs scored. He is also 6-for-6 in stolen bases. Gray is the third Auburn player this season with a hitting streak of at least 10 games. Anfernee Grier got a hit in the first 15 games of the season to extend his hitting streak to 17 games dating back to the last two games of 2014 and Kyler Deese had an 11-game hitting streak earlier this season. UTILITY MAN Damon Haecker has played five different positions (2B, 3B, SS, LF, RF) in 2015, the first time an Auburn player has accomplished that feat since Justin Bryant played five in 2010 (2B, 3B, SS, OF, DH). Lipscomb earned the win to improve to 5-1 on the season and struck out a career-high 10 batters. The award is the second consecutive for Auburn after fellow Tiger hurler Keegan Thompson was named SEC Pitcher of the Week on April 31. The last time Auburn won two such awards in one season was 2002 (Eric Brandon and Colby Paxton). SOLID IN THE FIELD Auburn tied a program record with a.970 fielding percentage in 2014 and is on its way to another record-breaking season in the field. The Tigers currently hold a.976 mark overall, including a.978 mark in conference play. 6 2015 AUBURN BASEBALL GAME NOTES MORE NEWS & NOTES SHUTOUT RANKINGS Auburn has three shutouts in SEC play this season, which equals the Tigers total number of SEC shutouts in the last four seasons combined. Overall, Auburn s staff has thrown five shutouts this season, which is tied for fifth-most in program history. The Tigers five shutouts overall ranks 11th in the country and third in the Southeastern Conference. XBH, XBH READ ALL ABOUT IT Auburn s 83 doubles and 112 extra base hits this season surpass the team s totals of 65 doubles and 89 extra base hits from 2014 (56 games). The Tigers have matched their home run total from last season with 15. Auburn s 14 triples are the most since hitting 19 in SHUT DOWN SERIES (X2) Auburn held Georgia to four runs in the series, making it the third series this season where the Tigers have held an opponent to four or fewer runs. Auburn held Radford and Mississippi State to three runs in three-game series earlier in the season. Auburn had a 1.33 ERA during the Georgia series and allowed 23 hits and walked nine while striking out 22. KEEGAN IS PITCHER OF THE WEEK Auburn RHP Keegan Thompson was named the SEC Pitcher of the week for his effort at No. 1 LSU. It s the first SEC POTW award of his career. Thompson tossed his second-straight complete game with three strikeouts and just one run allowed in defeating LSU. He is the first Auburn pitcher with consecutive complete games since Colter Bean (2000). BIG WEEK FOR BULLPEN In its series at LSU, Auburn s bullpen threw seven innings of 1-hit, shutout baseball with no walks and four strikeouts highlighted by Justin Camp s effort on Sunday where he allowed one hit over 5.1 innings with three strikeouts. This was following six innings of shutout baseball by the Tigers relievers against Georgia State on Wednesday night. For the week, Auburn s bullpen threw 13 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and striking out eight while giving up zero walks. STOLEN BASE SUCCESS Auburn went 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts in the Georgia series including tying a season-high with four stolen bases in the series finale. In the series finale against Georgia, Melvin Gray and Jackson Burgreen each recorded two stolen bases, making it the first time Auburn had two players record two stolen bases in a game since Ryan Tella and Jordan Ebert did it against Bethune-Cookman on May 6, 2014 and the first time in an SEC game since Mailon Kent and Gabe Gross did it vs. Vanderiblt on April 23, The Tigers have 36 stolen bases on the season led by Melvin Gray s nine.
