The Baysox season-high for walks in a game in 2015 was nine, last done Aug. 22 against Altoona...The Baysox last double-digit walk game came May 29, 2014 against Akron when the team issued 12 walks...tuesday was the first game of the season where the Baysox did not have a Major League rehab...the cold night also seemed to affect the Baysox offense after a big night Monday...The temperature has been below 60 degrees for all four Baysox losses and the team has managed just 12 runs compared to a win and 11 runs in the one warm game the Baysox have played this season... Starting Pitchers: LHP Jayson Aquino makes his Baysox and Orioles organizational pitching debut...was acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals just before the start of the 2016 season for cash...he is currently a member of the Orioles 40-man roster...aquino has jumped around between a number of organizations since being designated for assignment by Colorado (the team that signed him in 2010) in January He was then traded to the Blue Jays. The Jays designated Aquino in May and traded him to the Pirates (also for cash), who subsequently flipped him to the Indians on July 31 (once again, for cash considerations)...upon being designated by the Indians this offseason, Aquino was claimed by the Cardinals...In 2015 he pitched with Dunedin, Bradenton and Lynchburg (All High-A teams)...he went a combined 5-11 with a 3.80 ERA, 86 strikeouts, 30 walks over 24 starts and innings...entering the 2016 season, had made just two starts at the AA level with Tulsa in 2014 (0-0, 3.00ERA)... RHP Cory Riordan makes his second start of the season for Erie after pitching for the SeaWolves on Opening Night... on 4/7 against Trenton, threw four shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out three...originally selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 6th Round of the 2007 Draft out of Fordham University...The 29-year-old spent the 2015 season with Bridgeport in the Atlantic League before signing with the Tigers as a Minor League Free Agent...He went 5-6 with a 3.85 ERA, 82 strikeouts, 22 walks over 18 games (17 starts)...spent parts of four seasons at the Double-A level with Tulsa from , going with a 4.78 ERA...Spent the 2014 season pitching in Korea, where he went 9-10 with a 3.96 ERA over 28 starts... Age ap: The Baysox have a very wide range of experience on their roster to open the season...baysox catcher Chance Sisco was born in 1995 and is the 7th youngest played in the Eastern League at 21 years old...on the other end of the spectrum is former Major League outfielder Julio Borbon, who was born in 1986 and is 30 years old...when Borbon made his Major League debut with the Rangers in 2009, Sisco was a freshman at Santago High School in Corona, CA... Family Matters: The Baysox roster and the Orioles organization as a whole features several pairs of siblings...baysox infielder Corban Joseph is the older brother of Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph...Corban joined the Baysox halfway through the 2015 season...caleb is the Baysox franchise record holder with 426 career games played...rhp Bobby Bundy is the older brother of Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy...Both opened the 2015 season on the Baysox roster but both missed the majority of the season with injuries...both Bundy brothers were drafted by the Orioles out of high school... Several Baysox also have family members who played in the Major Leagues: Mike Yastrzemski is the grandson of Red Sox Hall-of-Famer Carl Yastrzemski and catcher Chris O Brien is the son of former Major League catcher Charlie O Brien... Relying on the Long Ball: When the Baysox offense isn t hitting home runs this season, they have had trouble scoring... The team managed three home runs during their 11 run outburst Monday night, but otherwise have struggled to string together hits and create offense...nearly 40 percent of all Baysox runs this season have come via the home run, led by Trey Mancini who is tied for second in the league with three home runs through five games...the Baysox batted just 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position Tuesday and have the third fewest hits (34) despite hitting the third most home runs (6)... Marin Making An Impression: Baysox shortstop Adrian Marin was one of three players on the Baysox roster to be making his Double-A debut, but so far he has been one of the team s most impressive players...he has begun his career by hitting safely in each of the four games he has played in and he recorded the Baysox only extra base hit Tuesday night...marin enters the season as a highly-regarded Orioles middle infield prospect after the organization made him their third round pick in the 2012 draft out of high school in Miami, FL TEAM LEADERS Statistic Name Total Statistic Name Total Home Runs Trey Mancini 3 ERA Joe unkel 3.60 RBI Trey Mancini 6 Wins Chris Lee 1 Batting Avg.
