3 GENERAL INFORMATION Participatin Requirements Must be at least 18 years f age. Participating team members MUST be an emplyee f the rganizatin they are cmpeting n behalf f. Emplyee is defined as full time, part time, temp, r intern. A spuse, r significant ther f an emplyee is als eligible t cmpete n behalf f that rganizatin. Nte: Players may nly represent ONE TEAM ONLY n any given event day. Crprate Cup Divisins Registering yur cmpany fr the Crprate Cup will give yur cmpany a team slt in each event in the series. Once registered, yur cmpany will be placed in a divisin based n the size f yur cmpany [# f emplyees in participating ffice(s)]. Final divisin placement f the cmpany is at the Cleveland Crprate Challenge Directr s discretin, but divisin placement can be determined using the fllwing breakdwn: Divisin 1 (0-100 emplyees) Divisin 2 ( emplyees) Divisin 3 ( emplyees) Divisin 4 ( emplyees) Divisin 5 ( emplyees) Divisin 6 (1501+ emplyees) Independent Divisin By entering yur cmpany int the Independent Divisin, yu are entering ne (1) team int the specific event selected. This team will cmpete in a divisin separate frm the Crprate Cup teams, but will cmpete in the same frmat and style f event. Independent Teams are fr cmpanies wh wuld like t place additinal teams in a specific event with high demand, OR, fr cmpanies wh wuld nly like t participate in ne, r a few, f the events. Independent Teams may be purchased alng with the Crprate Cup, but DO NOT earn pints tward yur Crprate Cup ttal. Event Dates & Lcatins Each event will ccur ver multiple days, but yur divisin will cmpete n nly ne f the days. The date and time that yur divisin will cmpete in each event is predetermined at the beginning f the seasn. A calendar is psted with designated dates fr each divisin t cmpete in each event, but als refer t each event page n the Crprate Challenge website fr specific infrmatin abut start time & lcatin. The event lcatins are psted further in this bklet. Sme events ccur at multiple lcatins, s make sure t review the event page. Event Frmat & Team Size The frmat fr each event is listed further in this bklet. Every event is c-ed and requires a specific number f male and female participants t be eligible t cmpete, these team sizes are listed belw. Each event will be frmatted ne f tw ways; Duble-Eliminatin Turnament, r Nn-Eliminatin Cmpetitin. 2

4 Event Scring System Yur cmpany team will be awarded pints based n yur perfrmance against yur divisin in each event. These pints will be kept n the Overall Screbard which is displayed n the event website. The Event Scring System breakdwn is listed further in this bklet. Prizes & Charities Event Awards: Tp 3 Teams in each divisin, in each event, will receive a persnalized plaque award. Crprate Cup Awards: Tp 3 Teams in each divisin, based n Crprate Cup pint ttal at the end f the seasn, will receive an engraved cup-style trphy, and a dnatin t the charity f their chice! Waiver Prir t the start f each event, all participating teams must turn in a cmpleted waiver frm with each participant listed, signed and dated. Yur team will nt be eligible t cmpete unless this frm is cmpleted and turned in. This frm will be available at check-in n event days, r can be printed frm the Crprate Challenge website, and brught t the event. Vlunteering Vlunteering fr events is a great way t get invlved in the Games, and prvides a bst t yur team as well! Vlunteers fr events MUST sign-up thrugh the vlunteer sign-up sheet available n the Crprate Challenge website. Vlunteering fr an event will earn yu an fficial Crprate Challenge Vlunteer T-Shirt, as well as, 2 pints tward yur cmpanies Crprate Cup ttal. Each cmpany can earn a maximum f 10 pints fr vlunteering, and n mre. Shuld an individual sign-up t vlunteer, and nt shw up fr their shift, this will deduct 1 pint frm the TOTAL POSSIBLE vlunteer pints yu are able t earn. Practice Opprtunities Sme f ur partner venues ffer practice pprtunities fr Crprate Challenge cmpanies t bring their team in fr practice r try-uts. Exclusive discunts t practice at ur cmpetitin venues will be psted n the individual event web page, if available. 9 SOFTBALL RULES 10 players (5 male + 5 female) May play with 9 players (4 male + 4 female min.) May play with a minimum f 8 players (4 male + 4 female) Substitute players are ENCOURAGED. Duble-Eliminatin Turnament 5 inning games (n new innings after 40-minute time limit) Extra Innings If game is tied at the end f 5 innings, r after time expires: A new inning will be started, and the player wh recrded the last ut in the previus inning will start n 2 nd base. NO METAL CLEATS ALLOWED (Rubber r Mlded Cleats, r Tennis Shes ONLY) Game ball will be prvided. Bats Bring yur wn. Must be USSSA, ASA, r NSA regulated. Glve/Mitt Bring yur wn. Batting The batting rder must alternate male/female/male/female 3-Pitch Rule A member f yur team will pitch t yur batters. Yu will receive a maximum f 3 pitches per at bat. One f them must be in play (nt a ful ball) r yu will be declared ut. Yu may nly have 10 players in the batting rder at a time. The pitcher can be substituted at any time. Base runners must give up r slide. MAY NOT run ver the fielder. If the ball strikes the pitcher ff the bat, the batter is ut. Curtesy runners may be used nce per inning (must be same sex) If curtesy runner is in batting rder, and is still n base fr their turn t bat, their at-bat will be declared an ut. Bunting is NOT ALLOWED. Fielding Each team MUST have a catcher. There are n ther restrictins t defensive set-up. The runner has a right t the base path. If a fielder disrupts a runners path t the base, the runner will autmatically be awarded that base. Runner will be awarded ne base n an verthrw ut f play. 8

10 SOFTBALL RULES cnt. Other Substitutins players may substitute during the middle f any inning. Players that substitute must remain in/ut fr ne full inning. In case f inclement weather, turnament will be mdified t 3-inning games. Safety Line: This is an extended first base line, past the plate tward the back stp. Runners advancing t hme, will crss this line instead f tuching hme plate. Runners that tuch hme plate will be declared ut. Plays made at hme will be a frce ut, using hme plate as the base. HOME RUN RULE (Veterans Memrial Park ONLY) Only 3 HR s allwed per game by each team n field #2 and #4. (250 fences) Mercy Rule A team leading by 10 r mre runs after 3 innings will be declared winner Inning Run Limit A team may nly scre a maximum f 10 runs per inning Exceptin: Team can scre unlimited runs in the Final Inning. Late Team / Frfeit Rule A team will receive a 10-minute grace perid t take the field fr their first game nly. After yur first tw runds, game times are subjected t change. If nt present at the start f yur game, yur game will be frfeited! 11 MINIATURE GOLF RULES 4 players (2 male + 2 female) 2 Players frm yur team will be paired with 2 Players frm anther team fr play (n gender designatin required). Substitute players are NOT ALLOWED. Only 4 participants may cmpete in this event. CANNOT play with less than 4 players. Each player will play 17 Hles, Lwest Cmbined Team Scre will be placed against the field Tie Breaker: Sudden Death Playff In the event that tw r mre teams have the same scre at the end f the rund, 1 representative frm each team will replay hle number 1 t break the tie. Play will cntinue the necessary amunt f hles t determine a winner. May bring yur wn putter. Sweeties Glfland Putters will be available n-site. Players must use a Sweeties Glfland Ball fr play. Players are t start and cmplete the hle befre the next player takes his r her turn. Players may nt switch clubs r balls at any time during the cmpetitin. Only the putter head f the putter may strike the ball. Players must start each hle frm the starting pad. If a Player s ball rll back t the starting pint, but des nt leave the playing area, play will resume frm that pint. If a ball rlls ff the playing area, a ne-strke penalty will be incurred, and he r she may restart frm the starting pad. If a ball shuld leave the playing surface, it must be placed at the clsest pint t where it left the curse, and a ne-strke penalty will be incurred. A player is entitled t mved his r her ball a club head length away frm any side wall, r bstacle. If a ball bunces ff the bttm f the cup, and ut f the hle, the putt cunts as a make. The maximum number f strkes a player can take is 6 per hle. If yu already have 6 strkes and have nt made yur ball in the cup, yu are t pick up yur ball and mark yur scre as a 6. Late Team / Frfeit Rule: Teams must arrive by 6:15pm t be eligible t cmpete. Tiebreaker: Sudden Death Playff In the event that 2 r mre teams are tied at the end f 3 runds, 1 persn frm each team will cmpete in a single rund t break the tie. Play will cntinue the necessary number f games until the tie is brken. Champinship Rund: Scres reset at 0. Each team member will play 3, ne-minute runds. Ttal team scre will be placed against the ther 5 teams. Pp-A-Sht Machines, Prvided. One persn frm each team will play and cmplete 1 game befre rtating t the next participant. Once all team members have 3 scres tallied n the screcard, the scres will be ttaled and psted. The Tp 6 teams in the Divisin will then mve n t the Champinship Rund. In the event f a machine malfunctin, the participant will be granted a red. Other: Late Team / Frfeit Rule: A team will be given a 5 minute grace perid t cmpete at their scheduled time. 13 FOOTGOLF RULES 4 players (2 male + 2 female) Substitute players are NOT ALLOWED. Only 4 participants may cmpete in this event. CANNOT play with less than 4 players. 9-hle Scramble Team scre will be placed against the Divisin Tie-Breaker: Card-ff In the event tw r mre teams have the same scre at the end f the rund, their screcards will be cmpared in reverse rder (starting with the final hle). The team with the lwer scre, at any pint during the cmparisn, will receive the advantage. Sccer Ball, size 5 Bring yur wn, r rent prvided Crprate Challenge sccer balls (must leave ID as cllateral) NO CLEATS, tennis shes r indr/utdr turf shes are allwed n bare feet The Game Yur team f 4 players will be paired with anther randm team f 4 players at tee-ff. In this fur-persn scramble frmat, each team member will hit frm the tee bx. Of the fur hits that ccur, yur team will decide which ball t use fr the lcatin f their secnd sht. Frm that spt, all fur team members will hit again, and chse the best sht. Each time cmpleting this prcess will cunt as 1-strke. Play will cntinue in this manner until the hle is cmpleted. Teams will alternate as fllws: Team A all fur players will kick Team B all fur players will kick Bth teams prceed t chse their sht, and cllect the ther balls. If the ball yu chse t play is in a hazard (sand, water, etc.), the rugh, r ut f bunds, yu must play the ball as it lies and may nt take relief. Each players putt attempt must be made within 3 inches f the marked spt (n clser t the hle). The first ball t g in the hle is cunted fr the team scre. When putting, nce any ball is hled ut, n further strkes cunt. Teams are cautined nt t make tap-in putts until all team members have had the pprtunity t attempt the team s riginal putt. EACH PLAYER S TEE SHOT MUST BE USED AT LEAST ONCE DURING THE COMPETITION. Other: Late Team / Frfeit Rule: A team nt present at their scheduled tee time will be skipped in the rder t maintain the schedule. Once yur entire divisin has teed ff, yur team is n lnger eligible t cmpete. 14 CORNHOLE RULES 4 players (2 male + 2 female) Players are NOT restricted t either side f the bard. Substitute players are ALLOWED in between games, hwever, same 4 players that start the game, must cmplete the game. CANNOT play with less than 4 players. Duble-Eliminatin Turnament Object f the Game: Scre 21 Pints befre the ppsing team NO BUST The first team t 21 r mre pints wins. There is NO penalty fr exceeding 21 pints. NO SKUNK There is NO mercy rule. All games will be played t 21 pints. Crnhle Bags (1 lb., Real Crn), Prvided Crnhle Bards, Prvided Team Members Bags will be thrwn ne at a time until a cmplete stp n the bard, alternating teams each thrw. Each member f yur team will be respnsible t thrw 2 bags each turn. These thrws may be alternated in any way yu wuld like. The team that scred pints in the previus turn, will thrw their first bag first. Player may chse side f bard t thrw frm, fr each bag. Player s feet shuld nt prject past the frnt f their bard during a tss. Any bag that hits the grund prir t landing n the surface f the Crnhle Bard d nt cunt as a legal thrw, and are t immediately be remved frm the landing area. Scring Bags that prgress thrugh the hle f the bard: 3 pints Bags that land n the surface f the bard: 1 pint All bags that are thrwn must remain where they are until pints are tallied. Pints are tallied by ttaling up each teams ttal fr the rund, and awarding the difference t the team with the higher scre. Fr example, Team A thrws fur bags. 3 bags land n the bard, 1 travels thrugh the hle. TOTAL: 6 pints Team B thrws fur bags. 2 bags land n the bard, 2 travel thrugh the hle. Ttal: 8 pints Team B is awarded 2 pints fr this rund. Bags are cllected, and it s the ther side s turn, Team B thrws first Other Late Team / Frfeit Rule: A team will receive a 10-minute grace perid t take the curt fr their first game nly. After yur first tw runds, game times are subjected t change. If nt present at the start f yur game, yur game will be frfeited! 15 SHUFFLEBOARD RULES 4 players (2 male + 2 female) Players are NOT restricted t either side f the curt. Substitute players are ALLOWED in between games, hwever, same 4 players that start the game, must cmplete the game. CANNOT play with less than 4 players. Duble-Eliminatin Turnament First Team t 40 pints r highest team scre at 20 min. time limit Tiebreaker: In the event the scre is tied at the end f the 20-minute time limit, play will cntinue turn by turn, until ne team has gained the advantage. Shufflebard, Tangs & Biscuits (prvided) Other Gameplay White shts first t start play Flip a cin fr wh is white, team alternates shts 1 biscuit at a time. Players sht frm their respective half f the baseline. Players may prevent ppnents frm scring by kncking their biscuits ut f the scring area. Scring Fuls Scres are cunted after all biscuits have been sht. In rder t scre, a biscuit must be cmpletely within a numbered area. Any biscuits tuching lines DO NOT cunt. Pints are cunted fr BOTH teams. (Pints DO NOT cancel ut) Scring ptins are: 7, 8, and 10 pints. Each biscuit in the kitchen lses 10 pints. A biscuit sht ver the baseline lses 10 pints. Shting ut f turn lses 10 pints. Interference while ppnent is shting lses 10 pints. Late Team / Frfeit Rule: A team will receive a 10-minute grace perid t take the curt fr their first game nly. After yur first tw runds, game times are subjected t change. If nt present at the start f yur game, yur game will be frfeited! 16 3v3 BASKETBALL RULES 3 Players (at least 1 male + 1 female n the curt at all times) Substitute players are ENCOURAGED. CANNOT play with less than 3 players. Duble-Eliminatin Turnament Play t 13 pints, Win by 2, r First t 17. Game Basketballs, Prvided. (Bring yur wn fr sht-arund) Scring Sht made frm behind the 3PT Line: 2 pints Sht made frm inside the 3PT Line: 1 pint Gameplay Cin Flip / rck-paper-scissrs determines first pssessin. Ball must be checked t start play. Ball must be passed ff the check. Shting r driving ff the check will result in a change f pssessin. Takeback Line Free-thrw extended After each pssessin, the ball must be taken back behind the Takeback Line. The Takeback Line is defined: Outside f the 3PT line + abve the free-thrw line. Failure t take the ball back will result in lss f pssessin. After a scre, the ball must change pssessin, and be checked behind the Takeback Line t resume play. After all fuls r ut-f-bunds ccurrences, the ball will be taken ut at the Takeback Line. Each team is allwed ONE 45-secnd timeut per game. NO STALLING ALLOWED. Referees will keep a 30-secnd sht clck. Failure t attempt a sht that hits the rim within the sht clck will result in lss f pssessin. Jump Balls g t the Defense. All games will be refereed by a certified fficial. Fuls The screkeeper / referee will recrd all team fuls n the scre sheet. Each racer will cmplete 2 Qualifying Races fr FASTEST LAP TIME (apprx. 5 minutes per race) Each racer s fastest lap time, frm either qualifying heat, will be individually placed against the field and given a ranking #. The Tp 8 teams with the LOWEST ttal TEAM ranking #, will mve n t the Champinship Race. Champinship Race: Each team in the Tp 8 will select ONE (1) driver frm their team t cmpete. The Tp 8 Racers will be psitined based n Team Ranking in the Qualifier. The Champinship Race will be a 12-lap RACE FOR POSITION, t determine the final standings. (NOT FASTEST LAP TIME). Pr-Kart prvided. Helmet & Head sck prvided. Optinal Racing Suit prvided. Prir t arrival, ALL RACERS must register with the facility t participate. Online pre-registratin links are available n the website event page, and is recmmended. On-site registratin n the day f the event will als be available. Upn arrival, each racer must check-in at the frnt desk t enter the cmpetitin as a racer. Racers will then be assigned a race number fr each f their qualifying heats. Prir t yur first qualifier, yur heat will be instructed n the prper use f equipment and peratin f the pr-kart. Once all teams have qualified ne racer, the secnd racer frm each team will turn in a qualifying lap time, and s-n until each team has qualified each racer ne time. Prir t yur secnd qualifier, yur heat will receive tips and instructin n hw t best navigate the track in rder t turn in yur best time. Once all teams have qualified their first racer fr the secnd time, the secnd racer frm each team will turn in a qualifying lap time, and s-n until each team has qualified each racer twice. Each individual racer will be ranked based n their FASTEST LAP TIME in the 2 qualifying races. The individual rankings will then be cmbined t frm yur Team Ttal. (Fr example: Team A racers finished with the 2 nd fastest time, the 5 th fastest time, the 12 th fastest time, and the 15 th fastest time. This makes their ttal team rank 34 ( ).) The Tp 8 teams with the LOWEST TEAM RANK after qualifying races will mve n t the Champinship Rund. CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND: Each team in the Tp 8 will elect ONE (1) racer t cmpete in the Champinship Race. Racers will be lined up n the track based n their Qualifying Team Rank. This race will be a 12-lap RACE FOR POSITION t determine the final standings. Batters: In rder fr a Kick t be legal (nt a bunt) the ball must rll n r past the bunt line befre cming t a cmplete stp. Fielders: May nt mve in frnt f the bunt line until the ball is kicked. If the ball is tuched by a fielder inside the zne befre it cmes t a cmplete stp, the ball is live and in play. Each player will bwl 2 games, league style (switching lanes every frame) Bring yur wn Bwling Ball + Shes. Lane Balls + Lane Shes available n-site. Each team shall cnsist f 4 participants. Each player will bwl tw games. The cmbined scre f bth games, fr all fur bwlers, will be added tgether t give the team ne ttal scre. In case f a tie, ne bwler frm each team invlved will bwl the 10 th frame. Winner f that frame will be given the advantage. Other: Late Team / Frfeit Rule: If n members f the team are present at the start f the cmpetitin, the team will frfeit their first game. Team is still eligible t play secnd game. If team members are late, the missing individual can be skipped in the rder using the skip functin n the screbard. This team member has until the beginning f frame 5 in the first game t arrive. Once the bwler arrives, allw them t catch up in the game. If they are t late, they must be skipped the remainder f the game, and are eligible t play in the secnd game. Relay-Race (1 mile lp each leg) Bib, prvided (must be wrn by anchr runner) 10K RELAY RULES The first runner fr each team will run apprximately 1.2 miles. Each runner after that will cmplete the 1-mile lp. The exchange will take place in a clearly designated zne. Runners must tag their teammate in the exchange zne t cmplete the relay. The anchr, r last runner, must wear the fficial Cleveland Crprate Challenge race bib, and must end their run in the finish-line chute. Runners must remain in rder f finish in the chute until their bib tag has been pulled by race fficials. Scring and determinatin f finish will be based n final elapsed time fr all members f the relay team. All participants must wear their assigned bib n the frnt f their shirt r shrts. 27 1 MILE WALK RULES Participatin is REQUIRED At least 1 representative. Five (5) pints will be awarded t each Crprate Cup team participating in the 1 Mile Fun Walk. Anyne is eligible t walk. The purpse f the event is t encurage all cmpany emplyees and their families t participate in the Crprate Challenge. This is a nn-cmpetitive event. Nne Required. 28 TUG OF WAR RULES 10 Tuggers (5 female + 5 male), +1 Cadence Caller May tug with 9 Tuggers (4 male + 4 female min.) May tug with a minimum f 8 Tuggers (4 male + 4 female) Substitute tuggers are ENCOURAGED. Duble-Eliminatin Turnament Each team will cntinue tugging until recrding tw lsses. Tug Rpe (prvided) The rpe will be 2 inches in diameter, 150 feet lng, made f hemp. Lng-sleeved shirts MUST be wrn by all participants. Glves are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. NO CLEATS, SPIKES, STUDS, HOBNAILS, r METAL FITTINGS. Bts must be wrn (cmbat, hiking, etc.) Teams will be lined up s that the rpe will be pulled n the right side (under the participants right arms). The anchr (the last persn) will be safely tied in by event staff. Males and females will be alternate psitins n the rpe. One Cadence Caller per team will be permitted n the line t assist the team. It will be the Cadence Callers respnsibility t ntify the fficial that the team is ready t tug. The tug will be started n the cmmand f the fficial. The team that pulls the rpe 12 feet frm the center first, will be declared the winner. A whistle r hrn will signal the end f the tug. There will be a 90-secnd time limit n each tug. Prir t the beginning f the pull, n participant may dig-in t the grund. The anchr is the nly member f the team wh may tuch the grund with his/her hands. N ther team member is permitted t sit n the grund fr mre than 5 secnds, including the anchr. All tugs will be cnducted n a natural grass surface. N electric sund systems, hrns, whistles, etc. may be used in encuraging teams. This means anything ther than the human vice is nt permitted. N sticky substances may be used n hands r glves. A minimum f 5 minutes rest between tugs will be permitted. Other: If there is a questin n allwable ftwear, glves r ther apparel, check with the Tug f War fficial befre the event. This can be dne at the Tug Clinic in advance f Final Event Day, r at the Captains Meeting prir t the start f the turnament.
