2 (2) Currently have 9 championship medals, 8 championship rings, 7 opportunities to buy championship rings, 13 all tournament awards, 700 average hitter and 3 MVP awards. (3) My biggest contribution to softball was persuading my best friend, E.T. Strickland, who owned Florida Investment Properties, to sponsor a softball team. Thus FIP was formed and other than Fairway Ford of California is easily one of the most successful teams in the history of Senior Softball. Warren Watson wrote, Norm has played Senior Softball since he was 55, and he is now 80. He hits to all fields, always behind the base runner, and also hits with power. He is usually in the top 5 hitters in any given tournament. He also excels in base running and consistently runs for many of his teammates. He plays all outfield positions and because of his speed plays them all well. Dewey McVicker writes, He has played senior softball for many years and has always stood out as an All American or All Star player. Ted Battistone wrote, Norman has always played a major role in many of the team s national and world championships. As a result of his superior performance, Norman has received many All- Tournament and All-World awards. Norm always displays a level-headed attitude and is truly a team player. His competitiveness and spirit are the true ingredients that made Norm the player he is. That competitive attitude and spirit have played a major role in the many successes his teams accomplish in National and World tournament play. Whether on or off the field, Norm is truly a gentleman and a sincere friend.

5 (1) Keeps me in shape, playing 3 days a week and weight training 3 days a week. (2) Travel to a great many places I would never have visited on my own. Of course my 5 trips to Vegas are at the top of the list followed by the Huntsman s Games in Utah 3 times. (3) People and friends I have met along the way. All of my closest friends come by way of softball. (4) It has been a wonderful experience and there is no way I could have topped it.
