10 Wednesday Night Ride for Beginners (And Not So Fast Riders) The Wednesday night ride for beginners and Not So Fast Riders will begin on April 1st and will meet across from the Stripes at FM 1585 and I-27. Rides start at 6. Each week before the ride, we will attempt to answer questions about cycling that are posed by those present. The hope is that riding skills will be discussed and practiced while on the ride that follows. This no-drop ride is intended to build confidence and skills for beginner riders and as a refresher for the not-so-beginner cyclists. It is also intended to provide a ride for those who want or, because of injury or medical reasons, need to ride at a more casual pace. Mentoring cyclists are encouraged to join the ride so as to assist ride leaders. The ride will not take place when sustained winds exceed 20 mph. Changes or updates will be posted on the Facebook page. In March, after the time change, be watching the WTCA Facebook page. If the conditions are right, we might be out on Wednesday evenings, getting a jump-start on the Wednesday night rides. I m ready to roll! By Marta Rosas
