1 MFR SALIGNY SUR ROUDON BOURGOGNE MARECHALERIE Dear Friends, The French Farriers Apprenticeship Organisation (CAPA) and the Burgundy Farriers Association are proud to present a Farrier Competition for Apprentices on Friday 18 th, Saturday 19 th, and Sunday 20 th March 2016 with the following categories: 1 st category: Students in the 1st year of apprenticeship (started in 2015) - 4 forge classes. 2 nd category: Students in the 2nd and 3rd year of apprenticeship (started in 2013 and 2014) - 4 forge classes. 3 rd category : Students in the 4th and 5th years of apprenticeship (started in 2011 and 2012) 4 forge classes. The aim of this event is to train apprentices and to prepare them for the farrier s exam. The number of candidates is limited to 60 all in all (that is 20 by category). The number of candidates by country or school is limited to 1 by category (that is 3 all in all). (May be more depending on maximum number of foreign competitors). However, if one of the categories is incomplete, additional candidates by country or school can be selected. For that purpose, thank you for registering an additional candidate by category. These candidates will be handled(treated) in the fence(close) of the registrations(inscriptions) to complete the various categories. We can send you, by mail or , the subjects from reception of your registration form. A financial participation including the expenses of restoration and accommodation will have to be paid. this registration is by candidate. 5 RULES OF THE COMPETITON GENERAL RULES : Professional courtesy is expected at all times from the competitors towards the organisers and judges of the competition. Individual transgressors will be disqualified. The Association reserves the right to alter the schedule and Conditions of the Competition at any time. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY: Each participant is liayable for his actions and responsible of his own equipment. All competitors to be covered by their own insurance. EQUIPEMENT : All competitors to supply their own work station (gas forge and anvil). Regarding foreign competitors, work stations can be provided if agreed in advance with the organisation. The use of a vice is allowed when hot rasping as mentioned in the programme. Cutting tool not allowed. Bottom blocks not allowed. SECURITE : The port of glasses, plugs of ears, safety footwear are compulsory All competitor without equipement, cannot participate in épreuves. CLASSIFICATION All event counts for the french general classification (except the team event). PROPERTY : All products manufactured during this event are to become the propety of the organisation. REGISTRATION CONDITIONS: The number of french competitors is limied to 10 per category (also depending on number of competitors). The number of foreign competitors is limited to 4 per county and per category (also depending on the numbers of competitors). Competitors list will be as the time of registration of each participant.
