2 Greetings Coach! We are glad you will be attending the 29 th Annual NHSCA High School Nationals! This is a prestigious event with many of the current and past wrestling greats as it s past participants including Cael Sanderson, Jordan Burroughs, Jake Varner, Kyle Dake and J den Cox to name a few! Your wrestler(s) are part of the best high school event the nation has to offer. Each level at this year s event is jam packed with talent. Please remember, you are a guest of the NHSCA and the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Please be sure to conduct yourself as both a good sportsman on and off the mat. The NHSCA High School Nationals are second to none. As with years past, we will be offering multiple free clinics throughout the event and a list of other opportunities for you as a coach; please see the "Coach's Menu" for all activities available to you as an NHSCA member coach. Important issues to remember: If you pre-purchased a T-Shirts or Bag it will be picked up at the World Wide Sports Supply T-Shirt Stand o This is located in the lobby of the VBCC. If a wrestler does not make weight, he will be bumped up to next class with no penalty or fee! There will be full wrestle backs o If a wrestler is beaten twice prior to All American Round, he is eliminated from the event. Wrist bands this is your ticket in and out throughout the duration of the tournament o If it gets ripped off or lost, bring it back to the NHSCA table located in the lobby of the VBCC for a new one. o You will not be able to enter or coach without a wrist band. Athletic Trainer s will be on the premises They are not responsible for taping pre-existing injuries. There are no locker rooms or showers at the venue wrestlers must shower are their hotels! The Top Eight wrestlers in each weight class are declared NHSCA High School All Americans. Each will receive an All American certificate. Your wrestler(s) will be presented their plaque on the podium. Your wrestler must be present to receive their award. The Outstanding Wrestler and Most Falls Awards, per division, will be given at the conclusion of the finals of your given division. The 2018 NHSCA High School Nationals will be webcasted LIVE by Flowrestling. All your friends and family can follow the action from home with FloArena. College coaches will have tables set up with recruiting information. All wrestlers, coaches, and parents are encouraged to attend! New! Saturday, March 24th college coaches that choose to participate will have a booth located in the main lobby of the Virginia Beach Convention Center between the hours of 6-8 pm. At this time, we encourage all wrestlers, parents, coaches and family members to take a few minutes and meet & greet with some great college coaches. This is a great opportunity for interaction with coaches in attendance!
