TRAIL BOSS LETTER Yetta Hey! Princesses Dads and Daughters, Well, I m now through my second month as the 2013 Trail Boss and I want to say thank you to everyone for making things go so smoothly. From Mark Ruda running the past few meetings in my absence to everyone working with me on the snafu s we had with the cabin and mess hall assignments at Winter Camp. I appreciate everyone s understanding and cooperation. Winter camp is now behind us and I hope everyone had a great time. I think the weather turned out to be as good as could be considering the warm weather and rain we had in the days before. Thanks to everyone who attended and thank you for making the weekend a success (except of course for those Boo-Boo s). Coming up in the next few months, we have our Father/Daughter dance, Easter Party, Car Race (see Dave Blaha or Wes Brown for your car kit) and Lake Erie Monsters game. Don t forget to check the cut-off dates for your events and get your registrations in on time. Hope everyone can make it. In this edition of the Running Waters, you will notice a different event, the Buffalo Overnighter. This is an event that the Big Creek Frontier organizations only attend every other year, so each of you will only have two opportunities to attend. This is personally my favorite event, simply because it is such a unique experience. If you have not had the opportunity to attend this event yet, you won t want to miss it. Remember, there are a limited amount of beds for this event because it is a combined event with the Seniors, Guides, and Trailblazers, so get your registration in ASAP. Friends Always, Pat (Princess Pat) and Katy Perhacs 2013 Trail Boss

SKY TERRITORY Chepi The Chepi Outpost had a great month. We started the month by going Tobogganing, and most of us made it to winter camp. At the winter camp, we won the Outpost Participation Award! Thus, for the next year, we get to take a very large trophy to all of the Adventure Princess events. Things are going great for our Outpost right now! Cloud Walkers Yetta Hey form the Cloud Walkers! We all had fun bowling and taking the behind the scenes pin setter tour! The parents and their friends had a really great time at Mardi Gras! Thank you all for all the hard work selling tickets and ads, this year was a great success! Winter camp at YNoah was a blast! We spent hours sledding and making new friends on the hills. The girls had fun shooting BB guns and bows, making crafts and horseback riding. All were excited for the Council Fire and by the way, we out shouted all the other territories! Keep it up Sky. We are all looking forward to and getting ready for the father-daughter dance in March. Friends Always! Night Owls Yetta Hey from the Mighty Night Owls. The Night Owls had a very busy Month. First we went bowling. Grace Gronowski and her grandfather won second place, and Brian and Madison McCall won third place for Sky Territory. The Night Owls also worked the event. The girls had lots of fun behind the bar serving soft drinks. Madison said this is really fun, it s like were really doing something. Camp Y-Noah of course was lots of fun. Madison, Maya and Victoria all celebrated their birthdays. The sledding when on nonstop all weekend. Dan and Victoria Vegh had to do the silly Father Abraham dance at the counsel fire. Noah and Sophia Wemmer s Obedience and Patients sticks went up in flames. The horseback riding, BB guns and Archery were awesome. Can t wait to go to Camp Fitch! Looking forward to the Father Daughter Dinner. Friends Always! Shooting Stars The Shooting Stars had a great time at Mardi Gras. It was great to see the amount of participation in this all important fund raiser. We had a great time at the Winter Camp at Y-Noah. We welcomed the snow and were able to sled at last and earn our sled fest patches. Even though we got picked last Again for the horse rides, we all had a blast and made it back to the cabin in time for the dads to make a delicious dinner. We love pirogies!!a special thanks to Chef Ivan, our outpost scout for cooking up all of our meals, he went above and beyond. It was nice to see the art work from Madison on all of sweatshirts from the transfer contest. We bonded with the other outposts in power town and shared camp fires with the Chepi's and the Sequoias. The Dad's and daughters built our own tepee as well at camp. We look forward to the upcoming Father/ Daughter Dance and future events. It was nice to rid ourselves of the Outpost trophy. Chepi's beware, we're out to greenhorn that trophy in an upcoming event! Remember to always shoot for the stars!!!!. Friends Always! Thanks, John, Mary and Meghan Gaughan, 2013 Sky Territory Scouts Friends Always

WildFires Winter Camp was great time and there was even some snow or was that frozen grass? It just doesn't matter, because the WildFires managed to do archery, shoot and ride the horses. Girls enjoyed bowling and seems they are very photogenic. Looking forward to the dad /daughter dance - maybe the dad's will bust out some retro dance moves or have the girls teach the dads some new ones. Rising Dragons Ay great politician will take the credit when things go well and blame your predecessors when they go poorly. So lets give all the credit to Piggy Pat. Piggy Pat did something that no other trail boss has done in the Rising Dragon era. We had snow at winter camp! Combine the snow with the overwhelming Mardi Gras raffle ticket success and Piggy Pat just might find his bust enshrined at 6840 Ridge Road, Parma, OH. But, maybe we are putting the cart in front of the Pig, and this Dragon report already began with digression. What a super time the Dragons had at winter camp. Friday night was full of bumps, falls and crashes, as the hills were alive with princess sledders and thrill seekers. What an impact. For the first time in 3-years, dragon princess were asleep by midnight, Saturday night. Amazing what a few trips down a slick-hill will do. Sledding was followed by horses, guns and arrows...sounds more like an old western than a camp. Following the Y-Noah farm theme, dragons feasted on pork, and plenty of it (no offense Pat). We chowed on pork-on-a-stick along with country-style pork ribs, baked beans and cole slaw. Mmmm. With such recent camp excitement, I almost forgot to mention bowling. Boy, did Yorktown lanes look modern. Almost made us want to join a bowling league. Well, not really. Congrats to Mark and Audrey for their second Fire territory placement. Way to represent! Great to see the pin setup area had some OSHA approved guarding. I feared for our daughters long locks. Mixing long hair with an array of fast-moving belts, springs and pulleys is taboo. Well, I best be going. This concludes the Rising Dragon report. We will see most of you at the wildly popular Father-Daughter Dinner & Dance. - Dragon breath out Fireflies The Fireflies had a great time at Camp. We enjoyed the winter weather, then the mud pen during ga ga ball We are looking forward to all the upcoming events The Father / Daughter dinner dance is always a great event, We are hiding our own eggs this year at the Easter party. Whoever finds them come see a Firefly Dad for your reward The Car Race is right around the corner. Will the Mighty Fireflies repeat the great sweep of 2012! come on toma-chittybang bangs! We are gearing up for spring and summer and can t wait for another exciting year. We would also like to thank all the people that made Mardi-Gras a great and memorable fundraiser! Friends Always The Mighty Fireflies! Tomahawks Yeeettttaaaa heeeeyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! Winter camp was awesome!!!! We had snow & were able to have sledfest there. Unfortunately some chairs were misplaced & the night owls lost their banner :(... But all turned out well. Looking ahead to the father daughter dinner & hope to see everyone there. Your friends always the tomahawks Thanks, Dave, Natalie & Noelle Blaha 2013 Fire Territory Scouts Friends Always!

SUN TERRITORY REPORT: The Mighty RedHawks had a FUN time at The Indian Adventure Princess Mardi Gras Fundraiser. Winter Camp was GREAT! We stayed at Kresge lodge. Jordyn, Katrina, Olivia, & Sanibel went horseback riding throughout the forest of Camp Y Noah, sled riding, shot bows & arrows, BB's, & crafts. We cooked out brats, hot dogs for lunch & wings, tenders, jalapeno poppers, fries, & cheese sticks in the deep fat fryer for dinner. We're looking forward to the Daughter Father Dinner/Dance. Happy Birthday to Katrina on March 20 Friends Always The Chey-Fli Express Friends Always The Sun Angels Friends Always The Mighty Powhatan s moms & dads had awesome time at the Mardi Gras Fund Raiser. Thanks to everyone who put on a great time and special thanks to the Indian Guides for helping out. Winter Camp was fantastic (thank you mother nature), the girls had fun sledding, shooting bb guns, bows and arrows. Horseback riding was a kick (not literally). Getting ready for the Father/Daughter Dance (special ride in store for the girls). Can t believe it s the last one already. Friends Always Thanks, Scott and Madee Smith 2013 Sun Territory Scouts Friends Always!

Forest Territory Scout 1of 2: You haven t heard much about the Forest Nation yet. But look out once they get going and from the comments below, they are just getting started: The Fearless Fawns YETTA HEY! The Fearless Fawns are excited to be part of the Forest Territory! We had a great time at the Christmas party, the Fluff Raid and just getting together for our outpost meetings. The girls (and fathers) had a fantastic time picking our outpost colors, logo and putting together our vests..it was honor to get inducted into the Adventure Princess organization. Bowling was a blast. The Dad's and Mom's had a great time at the fundraiser. And Winter camp was amazing. The girls put in about 10 hours of sled riding, horseback riding and other activities. The torch march and counsel fire capped off the weekend. We are looking forward to all the future events. Friends always! The Grizzly Grapevine Our journey officially began on 1/6/13, at Induction. We brought our sticks of assorted shapes and sizes with the words "Patience" and "Obedience". We couldn t wait to see them BURN. Grizzly vests are embroidered and we embark on the gooey task of adhering our patches. Fun, fun, fun. We cannot believe what a busy beginning it has been. Christmas party, outpost meetings, raffle tickets, choosing colors, logos and assembling vests. WOW! We wonder when we will find time to take a breath. It is all good. Bowling provided a brief taste of the fun that awaits. Bumping our way to a few strikes, plenty of spares, many of our princesses bowled their first games, and got to wear funny bowling shoes. Now, after wiping the alley oil from our finger tips, Grizzly dads and daughters were beaming with excitement, as we awaited our first camp. Still reeling from all the new Forest prep, it is safe to say, we get IT!! I guess you could call winter campout epiphanic. (Note: Forest Scout had to look up word Epiphanic means relating to something divine or a sudden understanding,) What a fantastic time! Grizzly girls could be found playing, sledding, eating, running, running, climbing, shooting, and crafting. I don t think we could have asked for a greater group of girls and a grizzlier group of dads. Friday and Saturday were so stupendous it made for a somewhat bittersweet Sunday, as many grizzly princesses were sad to leave camp Y-Noah, but knew another great event would soon follow. See you at the dad/daughter dance. Looking forward to a great 4- years.. Have a Grizzly-Great day. Sequoias Yetta Hey from the mighty Sequoias! If our first few months in the Adventure Princesses are any indication, it will be a fantastic four years together.

Forest Territory Scout 2of 2: Our outpost started out strong right from the first Dads meeting and has carried that right through all the meetings and events through the winter culminating in Winter Camp. The girls loved picking our name, colors and logo and look very sharp in their new vests. It has been great to see how quickly these girls (and dads) have bonded together as a team despite attending a variety of different schools. The Sequoias have shown up in numbers at every event (needing 6 lanes at bowling and 2 full cabins at Winter Camp) - daughters and dads alike have loved every second of each one. In fact, the only unhappy time in our first few months was Sunday morning of camp when all of the exhausted Sequoias had to leave the fun return home. But we are looking forward to having a blast together at the next event and for the next four years. See you all at the Father/Daughter Dance you will spot us easily since we ll be the team having the most fun! The Bear Clan Aneen Neeshee (Chippewa for Hell-o my Friend ). It has been a very busy start getting organized and up to speed in establishing a new outpost. With the name, the vest assembly, the logo, selling raffle tickets and getting introduced to some dads, grand-dads, grand-daughters and daughters, these people that will go from total strangers to lifelong friends. We are ready to be called The Bear Clan. We have already gotten a good start in getting involved in the Adventure Princess program. Ava Andjeski won a costume competition at the Ghost March. Joanne Norman won a bowling award, Lauren Cook won the Bowling Pin raffle prize for the Forest Nation and Savannah Lynn earned (the hard way) a Boo-Boo Patch at Camp Y-Noah. Our initial meetings covered a lot of business but we are now ready to really enjoy what the Adventure Princess program has to offer, spending quality time with those that are very special to us and forming a lifetime of common memories. Our girls have been having a great time as the go through many first time events knowing that their dad or grand-dad is there with them. Whether it is archery, the bee-bee guns, the horse riding, or just walking to the bathroom at the campout in the middle of the night, they know they are doing it with their best friend. Megwetch (Chippewa for Thank you ) to all the officers that make these activities possible. We look forward to the next four years. Friends Always Thanks, DAN McCoy and McKenzee 201 Forest Scouts Friends Always!
