2 Trail Boss Letter Yetta Hey Frontier! Hope you all had a chance to enjoy some nice February weather. We started this month with our annual Mardi Gras fundraiser. It went well and we are in a good place for Thanks you to all the helped it was a team effort. For those that went to Winter Camp how fun was that weekend with our girls! Mother Nature cooperated and the girls took full advantage of sled riding all Friday night. Great job by our 2017 Storyteller Chuck and Allison Ricco. The weekend was full of good times including a little flag steeling, shrink wrapping (Bandits!), many elbows on the table on Saturday (Saturday!). Our Fire Maker Brent, Leilani and Arianna Bokman did an outstanding job, it was great to hear the girls do Baby Shark (now that song is stuck in your head again) and I still have no idea what is in the Hole In The Bottom Of The Sea. Nice job on the skits girls it s always fun to see. Hope you enjoyed the movie as that was a new twist for Saturday night. Then on to a wonderful afternoon of Cosmic Bowling with a great group of Dads and Daughters. Lights out and Music created a new vibe and I noticed many happy girls. I even witnessed a few Princess strikes (nice job girls). OIC Wally, Alex and Sami thank you for all your work, oh and mom too. Regatta was new to Princesses and what a good family event! Princesses arrived in force with just under 20 boats. Great job girls those were some nice boats. Looking forward to Dino Light Show and Father Daughter Dinner. Dino Light Show is a new event for us this year and looks to be a good time. Father Daughter Dinner is one of our most attended events. I would encourage you to sign up early as we cannot squeeze anyone in last minute due to Catering and seating. Our Sky Territory Scout Tom and Skylar Miller found a Dairy Queen looking to donate a full size Ice Cream Machine to a non-profit affiliated with the YMCA. We spoke with Camp Y-Noah and they were happy to accept it. Camp Y-Noah took delivery 02/21 and now has an Ice Cream machine compliments of Adventure Princesses and Dairy Queen. Looking forward to seeing you at the next event and we will continue our efforts for all dads and daughters to become and remain Friends Always. Friends Always, Scott, Samantha and Marissa Miller 2017 Trail Boss Enjoy every bit of this time together as you will not get it back

34 Storyteller Story Yetta Hey, Those of you that attended my Friday night story time at Winter camp may have heard the history behind the "King who wanted more" story that I read. For those of you who may have missed it, I will give a quick recap. Back when I was in 4th grade I wrote the story. I recently happened upon it and decided to read it as my first story. I later came up with the idea that if any girl writes a story and shares it with me they will get a special patch. Furthermore, they may find their story being told at camp or featured in the Running Waters and Shining Star! Dad's please encourage your girls to write a short story. Thank you! A flower a day Once upon a time there were two friends who lived in a palace with their families, who worked in service of the King. One of these boys knew a girl he liked so much that he wanted to give her a present. One day, he was walking with his friend in the main palace hall, and he saw a big vase filled with the loveliest flowers you could imagine. He decided to take one to give to the girl, thinking that no one would see him do so. He did the same thing the next day, and the next, and the next... until, one day, the King noticed how few flowers were left in the vase. He was so angry that he called everyone in the palace to assemble. When they were all before the King, the boy thought he should say it had been him who took the flowers. However, his friend told him to be quiet, because the King would be terribly angry with him. The boy was paralyzed with fear, but when the King came near he decided to confess. As soon as the boy said that he had done it, the King went red with anger, but on hearing what the boy had done with the flowers, a smile appeared on the King's face, and he said, "I couldn't have thought of a better use for my flowers." And, from that day, the boy and the King became great friends. They went to the vase and took two of those wonderful flowers, one for the girl, and the other for the Queen. The End. *** Remember, Honesty is always the best policy. *** Chuck and Allison Ricco 2017 Storytellers
