5 Tomahawks Yetta Hey! Well we started February off with a beer in one hand and the hopeful winning ticket in the other. Mardi Gras! The beer was flowing, the food was plentiful and while some of us probably should not have drunk so much, others should have been sitting instead of dancing. All in all it was a good time. Finally we ended the month with a torch in one hand and our daughter in the other. If any of us new fire had any shred of doubt as to our future in the program the decision was sealed at winter camp and the bonds we made are sure to last a lifetime. Our days were filled with the girls shooting arrows and BB guns that would make any marksman jealous, marshmallow roasting, nature hiking, arts, and crafts. The girls especially liked the horse riding. Three of our daughters had to be escorted out of the mess hall do to inappropriate use of their elbows. So definitely some things to remember next year, elbows of the table and bring sheets!!!! If all that wasn't enough the best part of the trip hands down was the council fire. That night what we saw were fathers and daughters coming toward us cutting through the darkness with a majestic trail of lighted torches. Then lighting our torches we joined the line and the love we felt between father and daughter was overwhelming. When we reached our destination they lit our sticks into a spectacular bonfire forever bonding our commitment to our daughters. As the glow of the flame created a mood not an ego was present only humbled souls and singing "you are my sunshine" as our girls sat on our laps brought a tear to some and melted the hearts of all. We all are the men we are because of our daughters and are nothing without them. We might be first year but we already know 4 years is not long enough......we count the days to next camp. Rising Dragons A DRAGON TALE - WINTER CAMP 2011 Arriving at Y'Noah late Friday afternoon the parking lot soup not fit for a spoon. Snow had melted, there would be no sled riding with so much planned, no time would be biding. Entering the cabins, 90 degrees they were heated opened the windows 'round the fire all seated. Cries of "Bingo", the cold evening air filled young dragon princesses a late bedtime willed. When sleep did call, some soon roared no rest to be had as strange dads snored. Saturday began all slow to waken breakfast was served hotcakes and bacon. Princesses confused no elbows and rants it didn't take long to catch up with our chants. Spaghetti and meatballs prepared for supper shadowed grilled cheese and fries, was that rubber? Our walk back to camp with chagrin we now had chairs on the roof by bunny or flies dads. The old gaffe from the handbook was truly rich Rising Dragons never forget, payback's a stitch. (Fooled you, didn't I) Rags to our torches the march we did go Purple Bertha the story, tentatively listened as told. Pallets stacked carefully up to the sky Tupa he climbed, what's the matter with that guy? All watched nervously would he go in a blaze impossible to erase from our daughter s scared gaze. Luckily, somehow, the fire went well Tupa jumped down before burn or fell. Horses, beebies, arrows, hikes, crafts a fun filled day with seemingly endless laughs. Sunday began purple lip marks on cheeks Rising Dragon princesses will remember for weeks. Thanks to the officers preparation isn't easy. Just no more grilled cheese that stuff made us queasy. Dragon Breath Out. Wildfires The Wildfire moms and dad had a great time at the Mardi Gras this year. Everyone had a great time. The Wildfires skipped the winter campout, but went tubing at Brandywine ski resort on February 20th. All dads and daughter had a great time going down the hill solo and together. We plan to do this again next year. Fireflies Yetta Hey Princesses, The Fireflies had a blast at their first Camp. We tore up the Arena Rides, nailed all kinds of targets. We stayed up the latest, had the biggest fire, the cutest girls, the ugliest Dad's, who the heck are you!! We got caught with our elbows on the table. We lost a peanut or found one, Purple Bertha kissed us all...we even got narc'ed on by our own girls, when some chairs mysteriously found their way to a cabin roof...we are looking forward to the Father / Daughter dinner and the limbo line...we can't wait to find all the Easter Egg's at the Easter Party. And look forward to pictures with the Easter Bunny! Friends Always the Mighty Fireflies!! Mark and Ashley Ruda Fire Territory Scouts

6 SKY TERRITORY Rockin' Cowgirls- Here in the Rockin' Cowgirl stable we are still recovering from winter camp and "The Dance"!! Winter camp was an all-out blast! The Girls had a dominating time, from sleds to flags on roofs, it was a good time. It is hard to believe that 4 years has gone by so fast, we will miss camp Y-Noah. The up side to our last winter camp, we finally found a peanut!! Next, came "The Dance"!!! This was a dominating display of Rockin' Cowgirls and their Dads dancing the day away! We had a Tux, awesome dresses (no Dads, thankfully), girls flying through the air, and even dads sliding through daughters legs! Yes, a dad who shall remain anonymous (Dennis), slid through his daughters legs (well sort of)!!! Everyone had a dominating good time, and we will surely miss "The Dance" next year! I guess a few of us here in the Rockin' Cowgirl stable have a few unfinished dance moves that need to be let loss! What better time than spring camp to let loss and show our moves! Well that's all here in the stable! Have a DOMINATING good spring break! The Mighty Sandstorm Bandits had a Fun-Filled February. The Mardi Gras FUNdraiser was a blast! Congratulations to Marlena Noeth for winning 2nd place in the raffle ticket drawing. Our last Winter Camp was allot of FUN even though it didn't snow. We stayed at the Lakeview cabins. Summer, Sarah, Megan I, Megan S, Anne, Kayla, Julia, & Marlena had Fun times hanging out, seeing the smiles on their faces when they came back from the Horse back trail rides was priceless. We climbed Mt. Y-Noah and at the top we shot bow and arrows, BB's, and went on a hike through the forest. The girls also played human Foosball, bingo on Friday and did allot of crafts. Happy Birthday to Summer Whelan on April 10th, Megan Irwin on April 11th, & Megan Sippola on April 14th. We re all looking forward to the Daughter Father Dinner & Dance. Friends Always The Northern Lights went to the father Daughter dance in Style with an 18 Passenger Limo.
