2 A Message from the Trail Boss.. Hello Everyone, I saw a lot of you at the Car Race and it was another hit with the attendees. We had a great turnout as always and the cars looked great. Congratulations to the race and decoration contest winners! Many outposts provided games and or food to make money for their outpost wampum. And thanks again to the officers who all volunteered to go into the water balloon box to be used for target practice. If your outpost missed the opportunity to make some money, there is always next year. At the May Frontier meeting we held the outpost sign contest, with the Grey Wolf outpost as the winners. Congratulations on a great looking sign, and thanks to the Patrick family who displayed and talked about the sign at the meeting. We ll look forward to seeing you display the trophy proudly at upcoming events! Campouts should either be underway, or just about to start by the time you receive this in the mail. If you didn t get registered yet and camp has yet to start I may still be able to get you in. Give me a call ASAP. Updates on a few projects the organization is working on: Frontier covered wagon: I think we are still in need of a long term storage area. If you think you can help please get in touch with Phil Thorne. Photo Procedures: The Legend makers indicate that the new photo process is working out great. You can see all of the event photos on the princess web site. CDs of events, or annual DVDs are available to make it easy for you to preserve your memories. Membership Records: We are working on updating the Princess membership system to better fit our needs. You may see some minor changes in the labels on the Running Waters issues, campout signup forms, event signup sheets, etc. Remember that if you have not paid your annual YMCA membership you will not receive Running Waters issues and cannot attend princess events. One last comment Fall season new member recruiting will be coming up soon. Please give some thought to helping tell others about the Adventure Princess Program, and ensure that even after we leave the program that we leave a strong organization for others in the future!!! That s about it for now. We ll see you at the next event. Don t forget that if you see me in public you can get a special bead! Your 2007 Trail Boss, Say Jim, Rachel, Robin & Rebecca Stewart My name is (your princess name) and I LOVE BEING AN ADVENTURE PRIN- CESS If I happen to be on my motorcycle at the time I have a bead for that too!

My favorite Princess event was the Winter Campout and my favorite craft was making Bead Star at Camp. The most fun thing our Outpost ever did was a Pony Rides. For a new Adventure Princess event, I think a movie night would be fun. The funniest thing my dad ever did is wiped out on a sled. The trail of fluffs on my headband is not very long. I have 8 patches on my vest and I have 7 beads on my necklace.

6 Forest Territory A Note from the 2007 Forest Territory Scout: June 2007 I hope you all enjoyed the car race this year. As a dad it has always been one of my favorite events in the princesses. With only one more car race for the current forest territory I am sure next years competition is going to the toughest yet Just like our very own Cleveland Browns there is always next year until the last year. Thank You Phil Big Bear & Heather Little Bear Thorne I would request that the Outpost Leaders me their Outpost Running Waters report by the first of each month so that I can have time to collect them all and turn them over to the Editor. My address is forestscout@thebigcreekfrontier.org The Blue Angels- Angels that are blue in color due to the sadness of not having a report this month. The Cougars We all had a good time at the Easter Party. There was plenty to do at the Car Race. Thanks to all the Outpost's that had booths. Even though our cars didn't fair well, it was a good time. See you at camp. The Ducks- Met at the Painted Penguin at South Park Mall for their April meeting hosted by the Murphy's. The girls had a fun time painting their ceramic pieces and enjoyed pizza in the food court afterwards. The Mighty Ducks then had a great time at the Car Race and are looking forward to our first Spring Campout at Camp Fitch. We Are The Mighty Ducks...A Quack Above The Rest The Grizzly Bear Had a very good turnout at the Car Race. Unfortunately, the good turnout was limited to our attendance and not to our racing. The good news was Renee and Dale Lucas did make it past the first round. The other dad's need some serious lessons on building faster race cars. The next Grizzly Bear outing will be lazer tag at X-treme Lazer on Sunday, May 20th. Should be a good time with food, drink and blasting the dad's with lasers. Also looking forward to the Spring Campout at Fitch. The Purple Panthers- Had a great meeting at Ryan and Kaylee Short's house, great food, great fun, especially the gymnastics and best of all great friends. We planned our car race games and shared racing tips. We're looking forward to going to camp Fitch and all the great activities there like fishing, biking, horseback riding, lip sync contest, walking on the beach, spending time with our Princesses and much, much more. Friends Always... The Rowdie Raccoons Raccoons that like to stay up late and party. The Wild Bears Had a great time at the car race. We sold Pop, chips, water, crackers, and fresh cookies. We made a few dollars to pad out wampum fund. Unfortunately we didn't have any finalists in the race. We did have a few cars win their heats. 21 The Art of Fluffing-Part 3: The State Road Corridor: This month s story is a continuation of last month s. This month we went on an easy raid. The map in this issue shows what we call The State Road Corridor. Using this map you can get to 4 out of 19 officers houses and it only takes about a half hour. The numbers on the map match the numbers on the Fluff Raider s Log 2007 [see the website] What makes this raid easy is that all of the stops are off of State Road. You can either follow State Road north or south and all of your stops will be in a vertical column or corridor. Another important part of this raid is that it includes the Awards Maker s house. Once you ve done some raids from The Art of Fluffing articles, you ll be ready for your regular Fluff Raid patch. It s the Awards Maker who has these patches. As I said, you can go North-to-South or South-to-North. We started at the South end. That made our first stop Jim Stewart s house. He s the Trail Boss! He s the other officer who has Multi-colored Fluffs [See Russ Lakatos from AOF2]. Jim can often be found out back in the SECOND garage. Take a GOOD look at his face. If you see him in public, he ll give you a special bead. Ask to see his motorcycle. Catch him riding around on it and he ll owe you a very rare bead [see the Trail boss Notes in the front of the RW]. Heading North up State Road, our next stop is Bernie Willoughby. Follow your map carefully because Bernie lives at the very end of his development. In fact, his house is the one at the far side of the cul-de-sac on Fort Meyers. Consider yourself warned! Bernie is the Fire maker. He just might make you sing for those fluffs! Continuing north, the next stop is Greg Breen, The Sky Territory Scout. He lives right on State road on the West side of the street between Pleasant Valley and Denzler. His house can be spotted by looking for the mailbox shaped like an ambulance! He works in an ambulance, and he came to Parrot s aid at Winter Camp when she had her sledding accident. If you ve got a brother in Guides, bring him along. Mr. Breen is also a Guides Officer. The best time to catch him is between 6 and 9 pm because he works the night shift. Last stop heading north is Mike McClelland, the Awards Maker. If you ve been a regular Fluff Raider and have at least 14 regular signatures on your log, you can get the top half of your Fluff Patch. If you have made 5 After-Midnight raids, you can get the bottom half too. He also supplies the officers with their fluffs and has been known to give girls their choice of colors! This is one way to get a color you need to finish a fluff segment. GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING! If you have any good stories about YOUR fluff raids, be sure to send them to us at: Storyteller@thebigcreekfrontier.org. [Unless you raid us first!] See you in next month s issue! -Phoenix [Greg] and Parrot [Gabrielle] DeLaat: PS: Bring your Drattle to our house when you raid us, and you can earn your Drattle patch at the same time! Don t forget to bring your Drattle to camp!!!!! Don t know what a Drattle is? Checkout the Princess Handbook on the website [p. 75]
22 Suggested Route [Forward or Backward]: The numbers on this map match the numbers on the Fluff Raiders Log 2007 [see website]. 7: Mike McClelland 2975 Hilltop Dr. [Place to get your patches come here last] 16: Greg Breen State Rd. [look for the Ambulance Mailbox] 4: Bernie Willoughby 7818 Fort Meyers [Straight ahead at the cul-de-sac] 1: Jim Stewart Wallings Rd. North Royalton [Happy to be off the Extreme list]
23 There will be a patch given to the Princesses that Fluff Raids the officers at their homes. The first part of this 2-part patch will be awarded to any Princess who "raids" 14 officers at their homes. The second part is for Princesses who "raid" 5 officers after midnight. Use this fluff raiders log to collect signatures from the officers. When you get the 14 regular raids and/or 5 midnight raids, then "Raid" the Awards Maker for the Patches.
