2 Trail Boss Letter Yetta Hey Frontier!! Summer is in full swing and what a good time to spend with each other. Thanks to all the Volunteers that worked the door at Parma Rib-In-Rock. We represented the organization well to the community and raised funds for our program at the same time. In addition we also had participation on the Brunswick Parade with continued interest in the program from the community. Rumors are that the Pool Party was a little cool but a great time and the 4 th of July Parade was a hot one. Over 500 fliers with free putt-putt/ice cream vouchers were distributed between the two parades. The Rib-In-Rock and parades typically kickoff our recruiting efforts and we use the Putt-Putt as our first free event. So, if you know anyone interested please bring them along (free of charge) we would be happy to show them a taste of what it s like to be an Adventure Princess. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Boat Race, an annual family favorite and at the Captains overnighter in Eastlake. If you haven t been to this event, the girls love it being able to sleep in the outfield of the ballpark. This is a good time to start thinking about what Officer Position you may want to run for in 2019 to help this great organization. Nominations are being taken now. Please see Trail Boss, Assistant Trail Boss or any Officer with questions. The organization is a well-oiled machine right now and holding an officer position has never been more streamlined. Regardless if you think you may not have time, the responsibilities and time commitment are not at all significant. We are always in need of good people who want to help continue this wonderful program. Looking forward to seeing you at the next event as we will continue our efforts for all dads and daughters to become and remain Friends Always. SUN TERRITORY REPORT: Chowichan Angels : Yetta hey, Frontier! May was another fun filled month for the Chowichan Angels. We started out in PA at Camp Fitch, which was fully attended by our Outpost.

5 SUN TERRITORY REPORT: Chowichan Angels : Yetta hey, Frontier! May was another fun filled month for the Chowichan Angels. We started out in PA at Camp Fitch, which was fully attended by our Outpost. The girls got to enjoy many things including fishing, a rock climbing wall, making candles at the Nature Center and many other activities. Next up was the Indians game. A few of us got the opportunity to walk around the field. Dollar dogs and Dippin Dots helped soothe the pain of a brutal loss to the Astros. Finally, we had the Memorial Day Parade, where we received part one of an awesome four-part patch. Looking forward to an event-filled summer with the Frontier. Friends always! Yetta hey, Frontier! The Chowichan Angels had a fun June. We represented at the Brunswick parade in the morning on June 24, then wrapped up the day with a pool party that same night. Despite the cooler weather, the pool party was a big hit with the girls. It was one of the most fun events to date. The girls especially went wild for the snow cone truck. Looking forward to more summer fun! Friends Always! Drew and Rhiley Umerely Aleshanee: Yetta hey!! The Mighty Aleshanee had a couple fun filled months in the beginning of summer. Camp Fitch was awesome as always as the girls had a blast fishing, horseback riding, and eating lots of junk food. I think we should enter the great chef onto the iron chef game show... he s that good. The tribe game was a bummer with the loss but fireworks were great. Memorial Day parade had a great turnout followed up with some yummy popsicles. Mr Amick knocked the pool party outve the park with kona ice truck! One year maybe we ll get some warm weather for that event. Looking forward to the boat race and other events this summer. Friends Always! 17 Storyteller Story Welcome to July everyone. Since I had to cancel the Midnight hike at spring camp I decided to use that story this month. Five years ago my oldest daughter Grace and I made our first trip to Camp Fitch. Prior to arriving Grace had signed up to perform in the lip sync. However, noone told us it was a team event, more on that later. Once we unloaded our stuff Grace took off on her new bike. Moments later another Dad tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I was Grace s dad. I quickly replied yes and asked what was wrong. He told me that she fell of her bike and lead me to her. When I arrived she was in tears and had scrapes all over her face. She had fallen on her head with no helmet on (This is why you should always wear a helmet). After about 30 minutes of trying to calm her down I decided that we needed to get her some liquid advil. I found the camp director and he gave me directions to what I though was a store. By now it was dark and raining so I drove quickly through the windy roads to what I found out was just a gas station. At this point Grace was still in tears so I found out how to get to a grocery store and we headed there. Once we arrived I tried to give her the medication and she threw up. At that point I knew we were headed to the Hospital. Once we arrived the gave her a CAT scan and told us she had a concussion and sent us back to camp. Grace s Mom wanted us to come home but I was too tired so I told her we would leave in the morning. However, when Grace woke up she immediately asked if she could ride her bike to breakfast and told me we couldn t leave until she sang in the lip sync contest. Now I knew she was the only one not singing with her team so I was worried but she insisted that she still wanted to sing. Once they callered her name she ran up on stage and made me realize that I had nothing to worry about. I had no idea that she had put a whole dance routine together to go along with her song. The entire auditorium was clapping and singing along by the time she was done. Once she finished I told her we had to leave because at this point her mother was less than pleased with me for not getting her home sooner. However, Grace wouldn t leave until she found out if she had won the contest. Unfortunately, Grace didn t win the lip sync contect that night and her mother was not happy with me at all when we finally got home at midnight on Saturday night. However, I learned a very important lesson. Never underestimate your daughter because she will surprise you with her strength.
