Forest Territory Report: Sequoias Winter camp was amazing and Chris, the new firemaker, did a great job with lots of new songs! We will miss Sean but Chris did a great job and put a lot of time and effort into it. Having the firemaker and story teller in our group is really amazing, we are very lucky, thanks Kevin and Chris! Mardi Gras was awesome we loved the photo booth was a great idea. Chris put a lot of time and effort into Mardi Gras and it was obvious, thanks Chris for all the hard work and money raised! The father daughter dance is coming up and we plan to travel in style thanks to Ben. We also got to get to know a new I still cannot believe this is our last year and I will miss the Adventure Princesses very much! Also one of our dad s, Ron, has a daughter who just started in the Adventure Princesses, our girls all treated her like a little sister and it was great to see the new recruit. Bear Clan RW update: Aneen Neeshee, (Hell-o my friends). Whew! The Bear Clan is still recovering from the two big events in February. The Bear Clan Dads (and Moms) had a great time at the Mardi Gras. Thank you to all the Officers in the Princesses and Guides that made it such a great event. And a few of us actually managed to win a few prizes! Our final Winter Camp was fun again. We can't believe it was our last time to freeze our paws off at Camp Y-Noah. How quickly time goes by. We can't wait for the Father-Daughter Dance in December. It is one of the Bear Clan's favorite events! Good food, Shirley Temples and a lot of dancing. We hope to see you all there. Until then, Friends Always! Fearless Fawns update: Yetta Hey! Greetings from the Fearless Fawns. Winter is almost over. Spring is right around the corner. A handful of the Fawns enjoyed winter camp. Cold yet fun. Here's a couple pictures from the weekend. Friends Always.

The Grizzly Grapevine Grizzly Dads and Moms had a growling great time at the Mardi Gras, and we had ties to some big winners too. The guitar and the 2nd place cash prize stayed in the Cimino clan, and the grand prize winning ticket was sold by Hanna Carrossellia. It was great to know some of the winners. Personally, this was my wife and my sixth consecutive Mardi Gras, and it was by far, the best. Hats off to everyone involved. Our fourth and final winter camp was was cold, but luckily, had just enough snow to make the weekend spectacular. The Grizzlies, along with their adopted outpost, the Amadahy Angels, enjoyed all the comforts of the Kresge lodge, indoor plumbing, warm water, plenty of heat and the common room enjoyed by all. The lodge also presented a prime location to hang our pride-filled Grizzly Den Banner, making it impossible for even the tallest of officers to steal. The Grizzlies and Angels also broke the Camp Y-Noah record for screamin' sledders, as 22-thrill seeking princess made it down the hill at once, all upon the slip-sliddin' magic of a plastic-sheet. There were plenty of camera phones at the bottom of the hill, so if anyone has pictures or video, please share them with the Legend Makers. We would really like to enjoy them. In addition to sledding, the Grizzlies opened up the first ever, Camp Y-Noah Candy Store (aka the Grizzly Sugar Shack) and to most everyone's amazement, only inventoried "two suckers on a stick". Grizzlies partook in other great activities, like crafting, shooting arrows, firing bb guns and running around the barn playing floor hockey. If you didn't try the floor hockey, you missed a good time. We were also the outpost that challenged the status quo and proudly displayed our elbows on the table, in never before seen and amazing Grizzly unison. Not only did we circle the mess hall once, but twice, and it would have been thrice, had it not been for the Big Big Bull Dog Looking Lady, affectionately known in Y-Noah Woods, as BBBDLL. It's too bad she stifled our fun. I think we would have had the first ever Big Creek Frontier "round the mess hall", which would have been yet another camp Y-Noah record. Funny. My daughter actually said, even if we fall down the hill toward the lake, there is nothing to worry about? Big Bertha will protect us! Who says they don't believe? Great time. Glad we hit a lull in our event schedule. We need time to recover. See you all soon - Grizzly Breath Out Scott, Sadie and Samantha Amick 2016 Forest Territory Scout

SUN TERRITORY REPORT: Ageyutsa Yetta Hey from the Ageyutsa! Winter Camp was great, and so glad we had plenty of wood to keep the fire going all weekend! The girls (and a couple of dads) sure enjoyed riding sleds down the hill. It was also great to see the skits after council fire. We re looking forward to the Father / Daughter dinner this month as well as the Easter Party. So glad to see Spring right around the corner! Friends Always! The Sunflowers Yetta Hey! The Sunflowers had a great time at winter camp. The firewood held out and we stayed warm. And... we were the tribe that found the hidden lake! Looking forward to the father daughter dance in March. Thee Lakota What a great month of events. From Mardi Gras and Winter Camp, Thee Lakota s had blast. The girls had a lot of fun sledding at camp and drinking hot chocolate. The best was when the trophy was taken. Can t wait for Father Daughter dance in March. Its shaping up to be a blast!!! Friends Always, Thee Lakota 2016 Sun Territory Scout Adam and Grace Albright

Water Territory Report: Water Sprites Yetta Hey, Water Sprites had a great Camp!! A few of the girls played Bingo Friday night and very much enjoyed it. They started out marking numbers with M&M's but the candy slowly started to disappear in little girls mouths so we reverted to pens. Story time was fun. We got to be silly for a bit and the introduction of the Unicorn was born. Sledding was perfect the entire weekend and no Water Sprites got hurt. Girls built a cool snowman all by themselves. Council fire was a good time but we had some tired worn out little girls after. Looking forward to Father Daughter Dinner. Friends Always!! Amadahy Angels February was all about camp. Temperatures were cold but the lodge was nice and warm! Great job girls on moving raffle tickets all the way to the last minute. The Angels had lots of fun playing giant Jenga and sledding, sledding and more sledding. Special thanks to Leah s dad Ron for providing the giant piece of shrink wrap where a group of dads sandwiched more than 20 girls on it at one time, what a blast! See you at the Father/Daughter dance. Yetta Hey! Friends Always! Vito, Victoria, Elizabeth and Olivia Cimino 2016 Water Territory Scouts

Potawatomi (Poe-tah-wah)-toe-me That is how you say it. Yetta Hey 2016 already going fast. February flew as the month passed and we all wondered where it went. Camping was the big event this month and even though we were freezing had a great time, sledding and making snow sculptures. Our new dad Jared was a master with our fire and he loves to do it to boot! Great for us. LOL Our girls were very original with their idea for the snow sculpture as they made an actual sled out of snow, at had handles and everything. At least is was outside the box and for 6-7 year olds that is saying something. Great Job girls!!! We came prepared for our skit, and the Dad s ended up smashing pies in their own faces, who set that up? Looking forward to the Father Daughter dinner and other March events, where we can get down and dance with our daughters and sit down for a great meal. Hope to see you all there. -Potawatomi The Fireflies Yetta Hey from the Fireflies! We had a great first winter camp. The Fireflies were seen flying down the hills of Camp Y-Noah and glowing at the council fire. Even though fireflies aren't often seen in the winter, they enjoyed the coldest days of the year. Keep an eye out for our luminous smiles at the Father Daughter dance this weekend. Friends always! Soaring Phoenix The Soaring Phoenix were well represented at Winter Camp. Our girls had a lot of fun sledding, preparing their skit, and building an Olaf Snowman that was later disqualified. Even though it was cold, we would not trade the memories for anything. Friends Always! The SPARKS The Sparks had fun at Winter Camp. March looks like a great month with some awesome activities! Can t wait to show the rest of the Frontier how to bust a move at the Father / Daughter dinner! Sparks out! PJ, Kaylee and Chloe Egnaczyk 2016 Fire Territory Scout

SKY TERRITORY Shooting Stars Shooting Stars The Shooting Stars had an excellent time at our first camp, winter camp at Y-noah! It was cold, but we sledded a lot. We enjoyed sharing a cabin with the Cherokee Rainbows. We held an outpost meeting on 2/28 and are looking forward to all of the fun upcoming events. Friends always, Roger and Amelia Bundy Sky Territory, Shooting Stars Outpost Scout Cherokee Rainbows Yetta Hey from the Mighty Cherokee Rainbows! We are starting our 5 year journey with Adventure Princesses. We have out name, we have created our logo, and we are getting ready to order our vests. The dads and daughters are getting acquainted, and trying to remember everyone s names. Induction was good, and we got our outpost picture on the front cover of the running waters. Bowling was fun, but we still do not know who the winners were. Sled fest was a good, with the snow showing up just in time. A few of us went to winter camp and braved the cold weather (4 degrees). The cabin was nice and toasty! The girls were very excited to see and be in their first torch march (No dear daughter, you cannot hold the torch!). I was very cold at the console fire, and we could not wait for the fire to light. The sledding was great all weekend, and thanks to the dads that stopped our sled from going into the fire. We are looking forward to the father daughter dinner and the Easter party. Thanks, Friends Always Tom and Skyler Miller 2016 Sky Territory Scouts

Storyteller Story Why Lincoln Was Called "Honest Abe" In managing the country store, as in everything that he undertook for others, Lincoln did his very best. He was honest, civil, ready to do anything that should encourage customers to come to the place, full of pleasantries, patient, and alert. On one occasion, finding late at night, when he counted over his cash, that he had taken a few cents from a customer more than was due, he closed the store, and walked a long distance to make good the deficiency. At another time, discovering on the scales in the morning a weight with which he had weighed out a package of tea for a woman the night before, he saw that he had given her too little for her money. He weighed out what was due, and carried it to her, much to the surprise of the woman, who had not known that she was short in the amount of her purchase. Innumerable incidents of this sort are related of Lincoln, and we should not have space to tell of the alertness with which he sprang to protect defenseless women from insult, or feeble children from tyranny - for in the rude community in which he lived, the rights of the defenseless were not always respected as they should have been. There were bullies then, as now. Kevin and Kaitlyn Sexton 2016 Storytellers
