2 Page 2 AOH DIVISION 61 AUGUST NEWSLETTER President s Letter Brothers; First and foremost I d like to congratulate our softball team for a great year which was culminated with winning the 2013 AOH Softball Championship; it s been a long time since Division 61 has won the softball championship. Thank You, and Congratulations, we re all proud of you. On September 14, the Casa Soccer League will host the Shane Kelly Memorial Showcase at Northeast High School, this has the makings of a great event in memory of our brother Shane, please hold the date, more information in the newsletter. As you read this, summer is almost over, and we start to get busy at Division 61. October 12th is our annual Crab Derby, again this year we ll have our Crab Derby at Division 61. We race live crabs and you re welcome to all the crabs you can eat, this is our major club fundraisers so don t miss it. Monday Night Football starts on September 9th, Our Monday Night football Club is a great deal, there s still time to join, more details in the newsletter. Hopefully, we will see each other at the next meeting on September 6th, remember as always; I may be reached at or jackfgill@msn.com with any questions or concerns. Fans for Beer It s been an extremely hot summer so far and we still have another month to go. Many people don t have the benefit of air conditioning, that s why we are collecting fans and extensions cords. Anyone who donates a new floor or table fan, will receive the beer of their choice. Softball Congratulations to our Softball team for winning the championship! In a tight, back and forth and entertaining game, they defeated Division 88 by a score of Thank you to everyone who not only came out that day but also for the support the boys where shown all season long.

3 Page 3 VOLUME 7 ISSUE 12 The Annual AOH 61 Whiffle Ball Tournament will be held on Sunday, August 11th beginning at 9:00 AM. Spots are filled but if you are not sign up feel free to come out for an entertaining day of competitive whiffle ball. How time flies! But July was a great time at the division and August is looking even better. We have a softball championship trophy that is proudly displayed in the bar. Our Irish music night was fantastic with John O'Callaghan and we are excited to have the King Brothers in August. We have the whiffle ball tournament coming up. And as always, the division is the place to be to watch our Fighting Phils with our Phillies special. Plus soon football will be back and watch out for specials for all the Eagles games. Every month on the fourth 7 pm, the Division will be presenting the best in local Irish Music in our bar area. So why not come on out to AOH 61 and watch the boys of summer push for another Pennant. Phillies Games: $10 for domestic draft beer and hot dogs $15 for 5 domestic bottle beers and hot dogs From first pitch to last out. Division 61 Newsletter, Website & Facebook Division 61 now has three ways to communicate with our members: our monthly newsletter, the Division Website and Facebook. (A.O.H. Division 61 Clubhouse) Members may submit information to Sean Campbell at soupy07@comcast.net for the newsletter, Mike Ferris at ferrism@comcast.net for the website and Mike mrnemosmith@gmail.com for our Facebook page Notre Dame football begins its march to a consecutive undefeated regular season and BCS Bowl bid on August 31st. AOH 61 Notre Dame Football Club will be returning as well. For $125 each person gets unlimited draft beer and food whistle to whistle. If you drink bottle or imported draft you get a dollar off and the reminder is a cash bar. Also included will be apparel with the AOH 61 ND Club logo on it. Please note that if Notre Dame has a night game a Saturday afternoon marquee match-up will be used in place of the Notre Dame game that week. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL NFL Training Camps are now in full swing and the start of the regular season is several weeks away. Don t delay and join AOH 61 Monday Night Football Club. For $90 each member is entitled to domestic draft, food, discounted other drinks and a chance to win prizes each quarter. There are only 100 spots available. For more information please contact Jack
