Reports RC Mike Harrison 1,960 players registered by July 30, 2016 (2100 at this time last year) roughly 8% decrease mostly 5U, VIPs doubled, teams forming Check calendar for upcoming referee and coach training 8/19 start fall season Updates: P&Ps (policies & protocols) need to finalize to submit by August 1 Camarillo Cup posted on AYSO.org Bodemeijer UK trip still on for July 21 - $30k raised Open Position - publicity/communications coordinator - communicate to coaches and families Ally Sperber appointed Board recruitment VIP coordinator RAP submitted June 30 platinum status achieved 10th consecutive year Meeting with communication coordinator candidate moved to July 19 New online training fee (referee and coach) pay fee upfront and get reimbursed at in-person training

3 RRA Kevin Churchill (presented by Rick) Referee Instruction Classes for the Fall 17 Season beginning the first week of August: o 3 U8 Division classes o 5 Basic Companion U10/U12 Test and review classes o 2 Returning Referee Classes o 1 Intermediate Referee Class Referee Instruction Classes begin the first week of August Returning Referee BBQ Sunday, August 13 th at PV Fields Staff Updates: James Bjordahl is transitioning the referee schedule job to Ryan Kraai Office field painted with blue lines for the new US Soccer Player Initiative Training New instructional posters made and hung in office for coach and referee training classes o Updates on Free kicks o US Soccer Player Initiatives o Updates on Cautions and Send-offs How do we not charge volunteers to take instructional classes under the new AYSO U program How do we make it easier for volunteers to register on the new Blue Sombrero system? Greyed out areas in BS registration form cannot be changed. Changes can t be made by registrar. Glitch in registration. PO Box is region address in system.

4 Uniform Director Brian Fisher All of the new board member shirts have been ordered. I expect them on 8 4 or earlier All of the core and jamboree uniforms have been ordered. They will be delivered on 8 4. I have sent sample art for the coaches shirts to Curt. Once finalized I will order and shoot for 8 4 delivery. CVPA Jeannette Rossling 349 volunteers have registered. 288 have cleared background check, with 14 youth volunteers and 2 volunteers has failed their background check. The 31 volunteers who are pending their background checks are those who have not e- signed, used a short version or nickname for their first name, are in law enforcement/military/first responders or have a felony conviction that needs further investigation. 80 are new volunteers. Last year at this time we had 105 volunteers. Major issues with Blue Sombrero: A. New Volunteer Verification Form at the end of the Registration Form B. Certification and other CVPA reports on Blue Sombrero are not working correctly C. AYSO U is taking longer to receive Blue Sombrero login for volunteers to take Save Haven & CAT SAFE HAVEN MUST have been taken within the last two years by Section 10*. Concussion Awareness MUST be taken within the last two years by Section 10*. Concussion Awareness MUST be taken by all Coaches as of 1/1/17 California State Law. June 1, 2015 is the latest date for trainings to be valid. Completed activities: 1 st Coach Orientation, Open Office Hours Ongoing activities: Dealing with Blue Sombrero Upcoming activities: Trainings with Coaches, Referees and Team Managers, Open Office Hours None None *National AYSO requirement is every 5 years.
