We did get the new three air conditioners in! That seemed like a long drawn out process when it s hot in the Club and you really really want cool! However, Welch Heating & Air Conditioning did an excellent job getting the units installed in a timely matter. We had to wait a week for the electricians to be able to come and do the wiring, but that also went smooth once they were free to come and do the work. Everything is cool now and I want to thank all the folks that stepped up to participate in the $100 air conditioning challenge four of you have met the challenge! Anyone else out there up for the challenge? It pays off our loan faster thank you! Again, our apologies for the warm building the last 5-6 weeks and thank you for your patience! Aerie 2241 has had another good month and the new air conditioners are up and operational! Thanks to the Trustees for their efforts. 3 Trustee s Corner Three weeks of July was very warm at the Club with only one working air conditioner! Thanks everyone for your patience while we went through the process of bids etc., getting 3 new units installed. It s cool at the Club now! Judy says you Ladies may want to bring a sweater to wear until you start dancing! As Wayne said in his article on the front page, the $ challenge helps us pay the loan off faster good for the Club! Thanks to those that have stepped up to the challenge! We also have been given some smaller donations to put toward the air conditioning fund which really helps too! The August Calendar is full! We only have 1 day free, Sunday the 30 th. However, sometimes we have room for another even prior or after a scheduled event. So, if you need the Club for something, let a Trustee know! As the article to the left states, we will be refinishing the dance floor the week of Fair. Please support the Club anyway by coming in for a beverage, maybe play some cards, visit with friends, fellow Eagles, etc.. We are excited to get the floor looking great again! And, thanks to everyone that donated to the Floor Fund! We are a volunteer organization and we always need folks to sit at the door especially the late shift (8:30-Midnight). That shift gets a free hamburger (or equivalent)! Come in and support your Club it s the only way we can have a variety of bands etc. for you to enjoy. Also, we have quit a few new people so please help them understand the House Rules. Board of Trustees, Wayne, Judy, Jaime, Domingo and Lee. Aging: Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it. DANCE FLOOR INFO PAGE 3 We will be re-finishing the dance floor the week of the Benton-Franklin Fair August 24 th 29 th. The Club will still be open just no dancing! The Bar will be open at 4:00 all week. The Kitchen will be closed. open Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5:00. Good time to bring friends, have dinner and see the dance floor progress! I sure do appreciate all the help and words of wisdom I have gotten from all of you. The By-Laws have been sent into Grand for their final approval and the final financial reports are about done. Thanks to the officers for getting this work done. Pasco will be hosting District #11 meetings, both Aerie and Auxiliary, on August 2 nd. Members of other Aeries will begin arriving around 10am and we will have doughnuts and coffee. A lunch will be prepared and served with a cost of $5.00. The District Deputies, Kyle Strong and Tess Catt have a lot planned so be sure to attend, see your brothers and sisters from other Aeries, lean some and have fun. We had a winner in July. Paul Cox turned up the Queen of Hearts! Congratulations Paul! For this next game, the regulars voted to have the Club s portion go to help pay off the air conditioning loan.
