2 General Event Information October 2014 Welcome to the fourth bulletin ahead of the 2014 Women s National Clubs Championships. All entries should now have been submitted, with everyone in their planning phase to travel to Geelong. Gymnastics Victoria has transitioned to the new national website format, and this Bulletin contains updated links to all information. The 5 th and final monthly bulletin will be released one week early on the 28 th October, before clubs commence their travel to Geelong. 3 Championship Information Competition Entry Definitive Entries Entries are now closed. All definitive entries should now have been received. Alternates Should one of your team members be injured or unwell, that gymnast may be replaced by an alternate. This request must be received by Gymnastics Victoria by the relevant Orientation meeting (International or National Stream), in writing and accompanied by a medical certificate for the gymnast being replaced. No changes may be made to teams after Day 1 (i.e. for Day 2). Workplans Workplans will be up on the GV website next Tuesday. All clubs will be notified via at this time. Please review these carefully and notify Helen Colagiuri (helen.colagiuri@bigpond.com) if you believe there has been an error. Competition Details Competition Schedule The current version of the competition schedule is Version 3. Updating Points All coaches and judges will be allocated 4 updating points for attending National Clubs, regardless of the number of sessions attended. In order to have your updating points credited, all judges and coaches will need to sign in (once only) during the course of the event. Competition Format IDP 8-Senior Sessions Stretch will be held in the arena. A timed warm up will be announced per rotation. All groups will commence competition together. IDP 5-6 Sessions Stretch will be held in the arena. A timed warm up will be announced per rotation. All groups will commence competition together. NDP 4-5 Sessions Stretch will be held in Geelong YMCA. Controlled 4 x 10 minute warmup rotations (in training gym). Apparatus warmup: Vault 2 vaults per gymnast, Bars/Beam 30 seconds per gymnast (timed as a team), Floor 2 minutes total (shared between both rotations). NDP 6-10 Sessions Stretch will be held in Geelong YMCA. Controlled 4 x 15 minute warmup rotations A timed warm ups will be announced per rotation. All groups will commence competition together. 4 Floor Music All competition music must be submitted by prior to 25 th October, in accordance with the naming conventions described below: MP3 properties are: 44.1kHz, 320kbps, CBR, Stereo Another copy of each gymnast s music must be readily available at the event in case of technical difficulties. Please name individual tracks: Club Name - Level - First Name Last Name (e.g. Junee Gymnastics - Level 7 - Mary Hogden-Smith). There are two methods for transferring music: 1. Zip the tracks can into one file for ing, with the zip file titled the name of the club. The zipped file is to be ed to cjones@gymnasticsvictoria. 2. Use the National Clubs dropbox folder to deposit your music. This link should have been ed to you if not please contact cjones@gymnasticsvictoria.org.au. The GV team will endeavour to remove all music efficiently from this folder. 3. Mail them on USB Flash Drive, to Gymnastics Victoria, 138 High Street, Prahran, VIC Competition Equipment All competition equipment will be supplied by Jansen- Fritsen. The uneven bars planned to be used are the Club (Mexico model) uneven bars. This ensures ease of raising the bars for tall gymnasts. If any IDP Clubs have a strong preference for the Championship uneven bars instead, please contact jgodfrey@gymnasticsvictoria.org.au to discuss this, as soon as possible. Judges Please address all queries to Tricia Hade, National Judging Coordinator, at thade@gymnastics.org.au. Judges will not be paid for attending the event. IDP The latest version of the International Technical Supplement (September 2014) has been attached with this bulletin, and will be enforced at the competiton. WAG Australian Levels Program Official Launch Gymnastics Australia in cooperation with your National Commission is excited to officially launch the ALP at this year s National Clubs event. Following extensive research, consultation and development, the ALP is ready for implementation in During the event this year we ll display some of the new routines showing classic yet modern, contemporary choreography by internationally recognised choreographer Lisa Bradley. Registered WAG Technical Members will receive complimentary online access to the ALP via their Member s Log in from GA s homepage ( from November. WAG Advanced Judge Course at National Clubs An Advanced WAG Judge course will be held at National Clubs. Information on who should attend will be provided in the October Tech Member Bulletin and on the AG website. 5 Further Information Event T-Shirts and Hoodies All merchandise pre-purchases should now have been completed and sent to Gymnastics Victoria. Apparel will be available to team Managers at the Managers meeting at the start of each week s competition. Chalk Gymnastics Wear and GK Elite will have a limited selection of event merchandise at the event, for those still wishing to purchase items. Event Photographers Derek O Leary Photography Derek O Leary Photography will be the official International Stream event photographer. All photos taken can be viewed at the event and ordered online. All prices, sizes and examples can be found on the website ImagePlay ImagePlay are the official National Stream event photographers/videographers. ALL contestants will have ALL 4 apparatus captured. Beam & Floor will be photographed. Bars & Vault will be videoed. Complete coverage of each contestants National Clubs performance. There will be EFTPOS available for photos A reminder that for National stream competitors, photos will ONLY be available at the event be sure to purchase yours from Image Play in the venue.
