1 Southland Aerobics & Hip Hop Festival Event Information Date: Saturday 7 th July 2018 Location: Southland Girls High School Gymnasium, 328 Tweed Street, Invercargill, 9812 The Southland Aerobics & Hip Hop Festival is a celebration of participation in dance and aerobics for primary and intermediate school aged children (Years 1-8). Gym sport aerobics entries are also welcome. Refund Policy: Withdrawals before Friday 29 th of June will receive a 75% refund. Withdrawals after this date will receive no refund. No refunds will be given if the event is cancelled. Categories available - Aerobics (NZCAF and Gym Sport) - NZCAF Hip Hop Individuals are able to participate in more than one stream (i.e. can participate in NZCAF Sport Aerobics and Hip Hop etc.).

This year we are introducing some awards (certificates) which will be presented by the event judges. These include most potential, outstanding technical execution, best costuming, and excellent sportsmanship. Judge feedback This year we are doing the same feedback system as last year. The judge will fill out a brief form for positive and constructive feedback for each routine. Coaches will be eligible to collect this at the end of the competition. Age Groupings Participants can be moved up an age group to complete team numbers, however they can only participate up an age group and not down. For aerobic gymnastics, group age is determined according to the majority. I.e. Trio with two 10 years and one 12 years, competes in 9-11 age group. Please note that some of the Aerobic Gymnastics competitors may be older than Year 8. As this event is run in collaboration with the Invercargill Gymnastics Club, some of their older members may take up this opportunity to participate. We look forward to seeing their performances!

3 Entry Early entries close Friday 29 th June at 5pm. From then on, a late fee of $5 will apply. No late entries will be accepted after Wednesday 4 th July at 5pm. Please fill out the necessary information on the attached Profile Form document and send it back via along with the competitors music. The Profile Form will need to be filled out each time for each routine. EG: 4 routine entries = 4 attached profile forms and 4 music files. Music Once you have filled out your entry form, you must your music to Kirsty using the address below. Please make sure your file is clearly named with either your individual name (individual performance) or your team name (team performance) and the section your routine will be entered in. Preferred file formats are: - MP3 - AIFF - AIFC - WAV Please also bring a back-up copy of music either on a CD or memory stick on the day. Payment Payment is to be made by online banking / direct debit to the official account: Please include the athlete / team name as reference, and AER Fest in the particulars. Event day Venue access Competitors and coaches will be able to access the venue from 8:30am on the morning of the event. Briefing All competitors and coaches must attend the event briefing at 9:00am on Sunday morning Event run orders will be made available at this briefing. The competition run order schedule will be send out via once finalized closer to the competition time. There will also be limited timetable s available at the competition. Aerobic Gymnastics incorporates a programme called Aeroskools. Aeroskools is a resource designed for schools, and contains pre-choreographed routines that you can use. The Aeroskools resource is available for schools to purchase. Contact Gymsports NZ if you wish to do so. In this Festival any version of Aeroskools is accepted.
