1 Miss Quatro - Competition Information 2017 Venues & Dates There is no regional restriction for either competition thus, clubs may enter either Angel of the North, Jewel of the South or, both events. All competing gymnasts MUST be current Associate Members of British Gymnastics. All Coaches accompanying gymnasts MUST be current and Full Members of British Gymnastics as well qualified to the level of the participants performance. Judges All matters relating to judge provision or judging should be directed to Elaine Wood pipersvale@gmail.com Clubs entering Miss Quatro North or South are required to nominate and supply the number of judges as per below for each competition entered. Please check your judge s availability prior to listing them on the entry form and, treat their listing as a firm commitment to judge. 1 Competitor No Judge Required 2-8 Competitors 1 Judge that can judge a whole day 9-14 Competitors 1 Judge that can judge x 2 whole days or, x 2 Judges that can judge x 1 whole day each 15+ Competitors 1 Judge that can judge x 3 whole days (South) or, x 2-3 Judges that can judge x 1 whole day each; totaling x 3 days Clubs are required to pay a for each judge they are unable to provide or, if any of their nominated judge(s) fails to show at the event. Club grade 6 or 5 2. Regional grade 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 3. National Grade 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 4. Compulsory Grade 5 or 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 The highest scoring gymnast on each piece (inclusive of range) within the categories set out above will have their score count towards the Team Trophy aggregate. The overall winners for both the North and South events will receive the Miss Quatro Team Trophy (to keep) and awards from our sponsors J!

3 FIG BARBIE TEAM CHALLENGE (Jewel of the South only) This is a fun and exciting FIG team competition will be held on the evening of Friday 3 rd March. There are only places for 8 teams in this Competition. Entries will be treated on a first come, first served basis and will be confirmed on receipt of the entry fee. TEAM CRITERIA Team Entry is open to gymnasts currently competing FIG with teams made up of gymnasts from one or more clubs J! Teams to comprise of a minimum 3, maximum 4 gymnasts; the best 3 scoring gymnasts will count toward the team total along PLUS Jokers (see below) J! Each team will nominate their own team name / theme. Team coaches are encouraged to dress-up in keeping with the team s theme J! Each team to prepare a 30s choreographed run-in for introduction to their own team music J! Music for the introduction is required to be ed through 1 week in advance of the competition to andywoodmbe@gmail.com JOKERS Jokers will be played in the Barbie Team Challenge competition. Each team will nominate one gymnast from the team on each apparatus. The score for that apparatus will be doubled toward the team score (but, of course, not the gymnast s AA Individual Total). Nominated Gymnasts must be different for each Apparatus so, choose carefully. Please note, for teams of 3 gymnasts, one team member may be used twice for joker nominations. Joker Forms for Teams are included with this pack. Where teams are made up from several clubs, entry should only be on one form. All competing gymnasts MUST be current Associate Members of British Gymnastics. All Coaches accompanying gymnasts MUST be current and Full Members of British Gymnastics as well qualified to the level of the participants performance. Barbie Team Challenge Awards, Prizes & Presentations The Overall winning team will be awarded the Barbie Team Trophy, Gold Medals, 1 st Place Sash and Crowns The Overall 2 nd placed team will be awarded Silver Medals and 2 nd Place Sashes The Overall 3 rd placed team will be awarded Bronze Medals and 3 rd Place Sashes The Overall 4 th -8 th place teams will be awarded 4 th - 8 th Place Rosettes 4 x highly coveted Barbie Trophies will also be awarded for: 1. Highest Scoring Gymnast Overall (score not to include Joker) 2. Most Entertaining Team 3. Best Spectator Team Support 4. Best Dressed Coach There are also several Special Rosettes that will be awarded by the judges throughout the competition and awards from our sponsors J! Judges Teams entering the Barbie Challenge must provide at least one judge minimum of Regional or above. Teams will be invoiced / 100 if, they are either unable to provide a judge.

4 Awards, Prizes & Presentations The Overall winner, within each grade & age group will receive a Tiara, 1 st Place Sash & themed Award Overall 2 nd and 3 rd, within each grade & age group, will receive a 2 nd / 3 rd Place Rosette & Sash Overall 4 th to 8 th, within each grade & age group, will receive a 4 th to 8 th Place Rosette Apparatus Certificates will be presented by the judges at each piece based on the gymnast s E-Panel deductions on each apparatus based on the table below. Please note that awards for Compulsory, Club, Regional & National Grade gymnasts will be presented to those gymnasts that have been credited with an attempt for all of the elements required on each apparatus. Awards for FIG gymnasts will be presented to gymnasts that have performed a vault with a D-score of 4.00+, fulfilled 3 CRs on bars (C+ dismount ok) and all 5 CRs on beam & floor. Individual presentations for each grade / level will be held at the end of each competition. The Team Trophy will be awarded at the end of the weekend. How to Enter & Pay Complete the online Entry Form accessible from the homepage of or by typing the following in your browser: Entry fees are fully refundable if a gymnast is withdrawn prior to the published entry closing dates (Angel of the North Friday February 3 rd / Jewel of the South Friday February 10 th ). Withdrawals received after this date are nonrefundable however, the withdrawn gymnast will still receive their event t-shirt, leotard voucher and entry pass to the day of the competition they had been entered in. Payment can be made either by Cheque or, Internet Bank Transfer; details are outlined on the Entry Form. Entries will be processed on receipt of payment. You will also be ed confirmation upon receipt of payment. Any late entries that we are able to accept will incur a 100 penalty fee.

5 Spectator Entry It is possible and, recommended to order tickets via the event website Purchasing tickets in advance is essential as space is limited and entry to the Competition cannot be guaranteed by turning up on the day. Spectator charges are as follows: Adults Junior & Seniors 1 day 10 1 day 8 2 days 18 2 days 14 3 days 24 3 days 18 3 day event tickets apply only to the Jewel of the South competition A 1 surcharge will be applied to each ticket not purchased in advance. A Junior is considered a Child who is 5-16 years old. Under 5 s will be admitted free of charge Gymnast Passes are only valid for their day of competition Tickets are non-refundable but maybe exchanged for equal value or, upgraded Please note it is not possible to order tickets via post or telephone. Order of Rotation The draw will be included with your Competition Programme, which will be sent to you in advance. Where possible, gymnasts from the same club will be grouped together.
