1 Berri District Youth Club End of Year Newsletter, Important Dates Merry Christmas Moving to Glassey Park Nov 17-Jan 18 FEBRUARY 3rd-Aqua-batics 10.30am-12pm Platiums/Topaz groups 6th & 7th-Kindergym Registration Day & First Class 9.30am-10.30am (Babies to 5 year olds) 10th-Coaches Workshop 10am-12pm All Coaches 18th Commonwealth Games Baton Relay Gymnastics Display am Platinums/Topaz groups 24th Registration Day New Clubrooms Stadium Drive, Berri (Glassey Park) 10am-4pm All members must register each year to maintain their placement. Gymnastics Starts 5th 8th March All groups Official Opening of the Berri Stadium (Will be announced shortly) Keep an eye on our Facebook page. Our Vision is that the Berri District Youth Club Inc. is recognised within the community for developing gymnastics as the best physical and personal activity for the youth in the area. Our Mission is to provide the opportunities for all members regardless of sex, race or ability to develop their involvement, skill level and personal satisfaction in their chosen sport.

2 Coaches Corner 40 people attended our end of year Coaches/Committee lunch held at Bella Lavender. Congratulations to you all on another fantastic year!! Berri Primary School s Gymnastics Program Thank you to Karen, Michael, Jody, Amanda and Jane for coaching at this year s schools gymnastics programs. If your school would like to have a gymnastics program with us next year please call Jane ph: Renmark North Primary School Acrobatics Display Thank you to the Platinums and Topaz acrobatics groups who gave a great performance at the school s 60th Continental on the 10th of November. Loxton Lights Up We held a come and try Kindergym session at this year s Loxton Lights Up Festival. Thank you to everyone who helped Karen set up, supervise and pack up afterwards. Kindergym Christmas Parties Over one hundred people attended our end of year parties. Both days were a lot of fun and we thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

3 New Clubrooms Update Berri Lions Club Calendars A huge thank you to the Berri Lions Club for there donation of $45,000 towards our foam training pit through the sale of the Images of the Riverland Calendar. Thank you to everyone who bought and sold the 2018 edition. Riverland Wine and Food Festival Thank you to everyone who helped out with this year s festival. Great to see some more club representatives out in the field. We raised over $1,000 on the day. Thank you to Bickford s for donating soft drinks and water ; Monash turnoff fruit stall and BDYC members for their donations of fruit and cream. Be a Part of our Club History Thank you to the following families and businesses for their donations. A special Donations Board will be unveiled on the Opening Day of our New Clubrooms at Glassey Park. Funds will be used to purchase tables and chairs for our Café Area. Platinum ($1,000)-Riverland Hokkien Chinese Restaurant and Schrapel Family Gold ($800)-Peter Jarvis and Family Silver ($600)-Sweet Family Bronze ($400)-Scholz Family (There is still time to donate-please call Jane before the end of January) Grant Win We have been successful with a $10,000 grant, thanks to the Berri War Memorial Community Centre Inc. Funds will be used to purchase new gymnastics equipment. Please support them by booking in your relatives and friends into the Berri Riverside Holiday Park over the summer break. 4 New Clubrooms Update Things are starting to come together down at our new gymnasium. Thank you to everyone for the great work that you are doing. We can t wait for the official Opening Day when everyone can come and have a look at our fantastic new venue. Club Shop The Club Shop will be open on Registration Day for all your uniform and training gear needs. Located next door to the canteen for your convenience. Lots of new summer leotards and accessories will be available to purchase.
