1 Old Glory HOG Chapter Chapter General Meeting Minutes April 4, 2017 Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm; adjourned at 7:50pm Pledge of Allegiance John Kilgallon Director Welcome Jeneé Younger Treasurer Report Bob Bilmanis Budget Summary General Fund: $8631 Added: $1,017 Paid Bills: -$1,309 Petty Cash: $200 Total: $10,138~ Director Jeneé Younger - Explained the meeting Give Away process for the benefit of new members.. -Welcomed new members Rick Huffer, Joe Hall, Karen Larenis, and Chris Vunule. - Congratulated Clyde Cheek on the purchase of his Electra Glide Classic; Amy Spetsios on the purchase of her Softail Deluxe; Gary Stratmann on the purchase of his 2017 CVO Ultra Limited. - Well wishes were extended to - Ducky who is in the Lorien Health Systems Center for rehab after breaking his hip - Mike Betton who had surgery Chapter Manager Bob Supler - Hot Dog cooking will begin the first week of May instead of April. Those who volunteered to cook in April were requested to pick a new date. Each volunteer still gets 750 points. - The Open House is 22 Apr; volunteers are needed. - Big thanks to all the models who were in the fashion show, and all those who helped. Assistant Director Ken Wilmers - Registration is now open for the Regional HOG Rally in Grantsville, PA. The Rally is in August. There are now more than 30 rides planned. Ernie Jr has scheduled a ride the Minor League Stadium, and all attendees will be allowed to ride around the field. There are several wineries in the area, and there will be shuttles so you can participate in wine tasting. The dealerships in the area are offering lunches when riders visit them. - Kudos to Gary for pulling the CHIPS movie and meal together with All American. We all had a good time, and the movie was funny. - HOGs at the Beach is in September, you can book your room now. - Hot dogs will again be cooked this year. Volunteer to cook and earn 750 points. 1

2 - Write neatly when signing in the attendance book. We need to be able to read your name to give you points. - Honor Flight season has started. You can find a list of the escort dates/times by going to BWI Brownies Honor Flight Facebook page. - HOT training is coming up in Buffalo, NY. If there are any questions members would like brought forward, them to Ken and he ll ask while he s there. Activities Cathy Burkett - Primary Event is June 24 th ; We will go to Mission BBQ in Waugh Chapel and then in Laurel. The cost is $15@, with Mission BBQ providing 2 sandwich cards valued at $18. There was a request for riders to support the Mission BBQs this year as opposed to what happened last year. - Picnic is July 16 th ; at the American Legion, Bowie. Cost is $20@. There will be a cornhole contest; Mark Torsani will be catering the food; there will be other games as well. Please sign up on the sheet provided during the meetings. 7:22pm - SHORT BREAK TO SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND GET CAKE Ladies of Harley Amy Spetsios - A big thank you to all those who attended the Bulletin Board Party. One and one-half were done. There will be another party. - Auction and Basket of Cheer and Non-Cheer - LOH is looking for gift cards for another gift card tree for the winter party. Additionally, items for baskets of cheer and non-cheer are requested. Please bring the items to Amy. In return, the donator will receive one ticket for one item which will be entered in a raffle. The winner of the raffle will receive a $100 Old Glory gift card. - The next LOH meeting is 11 June 2017, at the All American Sports Grille April, starting at 10:00am Bake Sale. Please sign up to either help, or donate items. Membership Wally Wormack - Wally announced there are currently 320 members, with 95 at the meeting. Ride Programs Corey Thomas - John Kilgallon was presented his ABCs winner s gift card of $25. Butch Dill was not present to receive his. - Mileage gift cards were presented to Gary Stratmann, Charley Grizzle, and Roberta Stratmann. Oliver LaBur and Zack Larson were not present to receive theirs. - The Passport is now online and can be printed. Safety Len Busso (Nothing to present) Senior Road Captain Gary Stratmann - There are nine (9) overnight rides planned for this year so far. Make your reservations soon as these places are filling fast because it s summer. 2

3 - The 6-9 Oct 2017 PA Grand Canyon ride sign-up sheet is available on the table. You need to make reservations soon. There will be a Kinzua Bridge Skywalk trip where you can walk out on the metal structure to view 360 degrees of scenery. There will be a dinner train ride with the Tioga train at a cost of $50 each person on Saturday night. - 9 Sep, John Kilgallon is leading an overnight ride to watch flat track racing. - The monthly GAR is going to Glory Days, Ellicott City. Join us. - There is another AA Challenge in the works. It is an Escape Room House of Horrors, on 10 Jun 2017 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. There are three rooms; one hour in each room. Please sign up for this event. The price is less expensive if you get the Groupon for it. With the coupon it s $20 for all three hours. This will take place after the Baltimore Metro Panty Poker Run.
