7 FREMANTLE NETBALL ASSOCIATION (Inc.) CLUB AND UMPIRING INFORMATION - FINAL ROUNDS It is the Clubs responsibility to provide your strongest available umpires who are capable of controlling the rostered grade and umpires are not to do more than 3 games (definitely not back to back) to provide best umpiring for teams. Fines for not Umpiring Finals are $ per Umpire [this includes reserve umpires if they fail to report in]. CLUBS PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ONTO YOUR UMPIRES: 1. UMPIRES (including RESERVE UMPIRES) to report to office on arrival, 2. Score cards to be collected from the office by umpires prior to the game, 3. Score cards to be returned to the office by the umpire immediately after the game, 4. Umpires requested to wear whites, if wearing Club skirt please wear a white shirt. Skins or leggings are not permitted. Black/dark shorts and a white shirt is acceptable. IF A GAME IS DRAWN 1. At the end of the game when scores are tied, there is a two minute break during which time there may be substitutions and/or team changes. 2. Teams change ends and the game is restarted by the team entitled to the next centre pass. 3. Extra time of 2 x 7 minute halves will be played, with a one minute interval between the two halves 4. Teams change ends at the end of the first 7 minutes. 5. Substitutions and/or positional changes may be made during the one minute interval. 6. The game is then restarted by the team entitled to the next centre pass. 7. If the game is still drawn at the end of the second half, play continues from where the ball was when time was called until one team has a two goal advantage. 8. All other rules of the game are likewise applied; however there is only one two minute injury per team permitted during this extra time (i.e. the 2 x 7 minute halves). CLUBS PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ONTO YOUR COACHES / MANAGERS Scorers and timekeepers are to be adults; They shall stand together in the centre of the sideline and check each other; A timeclock shall be used; The team schedule to time must use a timeclock; All athletes must wear the registered uniform of their Club or they will not be permitted to take to the court; PLEASE NOTE Cycle pants are not permitted and briefs are not permitted to show below the hemline of the uniform. No item of jewellery, except a wedding ring and / or medical alert bracelet shall be worn. If either or both are worn each shall be taped (in accordance with the Netball Australian Official Rules 1.4.3); Ear rings shall be removed no taping is permitted (players will not be permitted to take to the court if they do not adhere to this ruling). No adornment (i.e. body piercing) that may endanger player safety shall be worn (in accordance with the Netball Australian Official Rules 1.4.4); Nails are to be cut short and smooth. If wearing gloves nails shall still be cut short and smooth. 7
8 PERMITS Clubs who have not already submitted permits should do so ASAP to enable the Permit Committee sufficient time to consider them. These must be submitted on the Permit Application Form and can be ed to or faxed to Contact the office if you require a copy, or download a form from the Web site (forms) An individual application shall be made for each athlete. PLEASE NOTE: Permits will only be accepted from the CLUB PERMIT OFFICER. Please refer to the below for the guidelines and interpretation for Permits. ANY QUERIES??
