1 2160 MAIN STREET SARASOTA, FLORIDA NovemberTrestleboard Inside this issue: From the East 1 From the West 2 From the South 3 Masonic Education 2 My Brethren all. November brings a time when we need to take a breath from our busy lives and reflect on what we are thankful for. As we honor our families, our health, and livelihood lets us be thankful for the Fraternity we blessed to be a part of. Our Fraternity is thankful that is has continued to prosper from time immemorial. It has made good men better. From our fraternity we have made a positive and life changing impact on the society in which we live. It has created lifelong friendships. It has and continues to bring Light to a life that has had periods of darkness. When we find ourselves losing that spark of Freemasonry, let us always be thankful From the East that we find ourselves in the company our Brothers with a warm smile, heartfelt laughter, and the joy of the unity that our brotherhood brings to one another. I want to express to the Craft to mark on your calendar November 26 th Stated Communication. I will dedicate the night to the Officers of the Lodge. I will recognize their efforts and achievements for the past year. We will also be awarding the Mason of the Year as well. Please make every effort to attend as a visible sign of your appreciation for the brothers who have served as your Officers of the Lodge. 2 Greetings from the West, Brethren, it s been a busy past couple months but we re not done yet! On November 12 th a Fellow Craft proficiency will be held at our first stated meeting. Our Lodge Instructors have been diligently at work with their classes and no doubt our newly obligate brothers will be ready. Saturday, November 23rd h, there will be a Master Mason degree at 8:30 a.m. Our Brother Junior Warden will be the degree master and is sure to put on a wonderful degree. Please make the time to come and support your soon-to-be raised brothers. If you re experience was like mine and I m sure it was you ll remember the moment you were raised and how good it was to see your brothers there to support you. May you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don t forget; November 11 th is Veteran s Day. As many of you know, there are quite a few veterans in our lodge as well as the many lodges throughout District 27. Take the time to thank them, for if it weren t for them and their dedication to serving this country we love, we may not have that 4 th Thursday of every November to give thanks! Damian Ostermeyer Senior Warden From the West Masonic Education With elections coming up, we need to remember that we are not allowed to participate in any form of electioneering. Unlike Grand Lodge and in other bodies, there are no nominations and there can be an unlimited number of ballots cast until a winner is decided.
