2 INTRODUCTION Fishing Association of Slovenia and Fishing Club Radeče are very happy to be able to host such a big event. Championship will take place on the longest river in Slovenia, river Sava. Sava has alpine characteristics and after 30 kilometres of its middle flow in narrow river-bed between Zasavje hills, it slows down and forms accumulation lake, as a result of hydroelectric power plant Vrhovo. Fishing venue is in natural setting and is long about 1800 metres. Organizer can prepare up to 165 fishing places in continuous line. Municipality Radeče is one of the smallest municipalities in Slovenia. Center, town Radeče, lies between hills that are mostly higher than 1000 metres above sea level. Radeče lies in central Slovenia, distance from capital Ljubljana is 75 kilometres, from Zagreb (capital of Croatia) 80 kilometres, from Triest, Italy about 180 kilometres and from biggest airport in country, Brnik 100 kilometres. Championship will start on 2 nd and lasted till 8 th of June page 1

3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP for CLUBs 2014 The longest slovenian river Sava is 221 kilometres long. It origins in Zelenci, on altitude 833 metres, as Sava Dolinka and as Savica falls, on altitude 805 metres, as Sava Bohinjka in Julian Alps. Near town of Radovljica two Sava headwaters merge into Sava. The hole lenght od Sava, from its source in slovenian Alps to confluence with Donube in Belgarde, Serbia, is 990 kilometres. River has slow, steady flow in normal weather circumastances and it doesn't change a lot after the heavy rains. River is dwelt mostly with vimba bream (Vimba vimba) and also with barbel (Barbus Barbus), carp (Cyprinus capio), bream (Abramis brama), bleak (Alburnus alburnus) and roach (Rutilus rutilus). Fishing venue is continuous and organized in 5 sections (see the map right): section A: depth of water, 13 meters from bank, is 2,5 4,5 meters; section B: depth of water, 13 meters from bank, is 4,5 7,5 meters; section C: depth of water, 13 meters from bank, is 7,5 meters; section D: depth of water, 13 meters from bank, is 7,5 meters; section E: depth of water, 13 meters from bank, is 2,5-6 meters. All fishing sites are approachable with a car, except sector D, where is parking organized about 100 meters from river bank. WC for Clubs will be held on the same fishing venue as European coarse angling championship in page 2

In this brochure you can find a list of possible accomodations in radius of 25 kilometres from Radeče. Every team must pay to organizer a fee of 1.350,00. Fee includes: F.I.P.S.ed fee of 150, 9 tickets for banquet (it'll be possible to get additional tickets for 50 each), 6 passes for trainings, ensurance for competitors. 8 ACCOMMODATION In Radeče is no accommodation possibilities, but near there are two big hotels with pools with natural thermal water. Teams that participated in last championships were staying also in holiday cottages, mountain hostels and dormitories. Offer is diverse and sutable for every pocket. Below is organizer's recommended accommodation list. Teams must arrange accommodation on their own, as already said organizer is not obligated to offer an official accomodation. 9 GROUNBAITS and BAITS Each competitor is allowed to have 20 l of groundbaits, including earth, gravel, corn maize, wheat, hempseed, etc. and other additives that are not toxic for the fauna and the water environment. Each competitor is allowed to have 2.5 liters of baits, of which a maximum amount of 1 liter can be aquatic larvae (jokers and bloodworms). In any case the maximum amount of bloodworms can be 0.5 liter. Organizer allowes use of mixed color worms, at bait control it must be in mesuarable containers. Prepared groundbaits must be in buckets with scale. Maximum lenght of fishing pole is 13 m. Obligatory use of 4 m long net. page 8
