3 Preface Pine Ridge Golf Club Established 1912 Serving members, their families, and guests for over 100 years The written material contained in this booklet is meant for informational purposes for all Pine Ridge members, their families, and guests. It is hoped that this information will give all members a better understanding of how the golf club functions in every aspect of its operation. Management of Pine Ridge Golf Club encourages members to pass on constructive comments and suggestions for changes, deletions, and additions to the information contained in this booklet. It is hoped that all members of Pine Ridge Golf Club will find this booklet both useful and informative.

5 Rules and Regulations & Dress Code Rules and Regulations The purpose of these rules is to ensure that accurate handicaps are kept, and that all competitive play is fair, consistent, monitored and verified. - All member rounds, including away courses and tournaments, should be correctly and accurately recorded in the handicap computer system. See the Golf Shop staff if you require assistance or have any questions. - Cancellation of all Club event participation must be done 48 hours prior to the event start time or the participant will be responsible and charged for all costs (if any) associated with the event. - Registration prior to Club events is expected of all members participating in the event - During Club events, your team or personal scorecard should be exchanged with your playing opponent(s), who will record your score - Scorecards are to be signed by the marker, confirmed by competitor(s), and submitted immediately following the completion of play - Deadlines will be set for Club Match Play events and the Club will enforce coin tosses for matches not completed on time. This may be waived if the reason for missed deadlines has been communicated with the event s committee chair or the Head Golf Professional. Extensions to the deadline will only be granted if the match has been scheduled for a week within the deadline with a scheduled match date arranged - The Match and Handicap committee has the final authority and is responsible for the accuracy of tournament scoring and monitoring member handicaps - Failure to comply with an or all of the above regulations may result in disqualification, suspension from member event play and/or disciplinary action by the Board of Directors Dress Code The following summarizes the dress code for Pine Ridge Golf club, for all members, and guests: - Shirts must be worn, and tucked in at all times - Shirts with collars and sleeves are appropriate for men, shirts with collars and/or sleeves are considered appropriate for ladies - Tank tops, tee shirts, halter tops, painted shirts, fishnet tops and athletic tops or jerseys are not permitted - Shorts may be worn on the golf course and in the Clubhouse. Short shorts (more than six inches above a bent knee), tennis, jogging, spandex or athletic shorts are not permitted - Denim is permitted in the Clubhouse and on the Patio and must be in good repair, without any rips, frayed ends or holes and must fit appropriately. Denim is not appropriate anywhere on the golf course, driving range or practice areas.
6 - Proper golf footwear, soft spiked, or spikeless, is expected on the golf course. Metal spiked shoes are not permitted Members, guests, or outside tournament participants are asked to respect and follow the aforementioned guidelines. The Club s Professional staff has been asked to enforce the guidelines as set out by the Board of Governors.

9 Monthly Medal Runs on the first available weekend May - September 1. Agenda i. Regular play on the weekend, players wishing to participate must register with the starter or with the Golf Shop prior to teeing off 2. Format i. Low net stroke play ii. Three separate handicap divisions available 0-9, 10-20, and 21+ iii. You may play both Saturday and Sunday in the Monthly Medal competition, with your best score on the weekend counting for the competition iv. The lowest net score in each handicap division of those who registered for the Monthly Medal competition are the monthly winners, and receive entry into the Monthly Medal Final, which takes place on September 2, 2017 v. Open to all male members (excluding Juniors) vi. Ladies have a separate Monthly Medal competition, which is played during Ladies play on Thursday mornings. Please see the Ladies fixture card on the website, or the Ladies locker room, for specific dates for Ladies Monthly Medal competitions. i. There is no cost associated with the Monthly Medal competition i. Sign-up with the starter, or in the Golf Shop, prior to teeing off on scheduled Monthly Medal weekends
10 Canada Day Alternate Shot Saturday, July 1 st 1. Agenda i. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. ii. Play will commence at 2:00 p.m. in a shotgun start 2. Format i. Pick your own team of two players (guests welcome), or sign up as an individual and the Golf Shop will assist in finding a partner ii. Alternate shot competition iii. Nine Holes iv. All ladies will play from the red tees, all men will play from the white tees v. Top teams will receive prizes, as well as individual hole competitions vi. Open to all male, female, and junior members vii. Handicap strokes fall as per the scorecard i. The cost to participate in the Canada Day Alternate Shot is $35 for members, and $45 for guests. This price includes golf, cart, light meal and prizes and what has become a Pine Ridge tradition, the Canada Day Fireworks Show! i. Enter by signing up in the Golf Shop, or by calling
11 Club Championship Men s Division Saturday, August 5 Monday, August Overall Champion: Mike Tibbs 1. Agenda i. Players to register on the first tee prior to their tee time ii. Tee times will be created and posted online by the Golf Shop staff iii. First and second round pairings will be the same, with only the tee time changing iv. Third round pairings will be based on scoring from the first two rounds, with the leaders teeing off last 2. Format i. Stroke play, three rounds of eighteen holes ii. Open to all male members, excluding juniors iii. All play in the Championship flight will take place from the black tees, play in all other Men s flights will take place from the blue tees iv. The top four low gross players will comprise the Provincial Interclub Championship team v. Low Gross and Low Net divisions prizes in all flights, one player cannot win more than one prize, with the exception of the Laird Trophy in the Senior division vi. All prize monies are awarded in the form of Golf Shop credit i. There is no cost associated with playing the Club Championships i. 12 Club Championship Senior Division Saturday, August 5 Monday, August Overall Senior Champion: Henk Denboer 1. Agenda i. Players to register on the first tee prior to their tee time ii. Tee times will be created and posted by the Golf Shop staff iii. Second round pairings will remain the same as the first round, with just the tee time itself changing. Third round pairings will be based on the previous two rounds scoring, with leaders teeing off last 2. Format i. Stroke play, three rounds of eighteen holes ii. Open to all male senior members, aged 55 and over iii. All play in the senior division will take place from the blue tees iv. The top four low gross players will comprise the Provincial Senior Interclub Championship team v. Low Gross and Low Net divisions prizes in all flights, one player cannot win more than one prize, with the exception of the Laird Trophy for the low gross first round of all senior participants vi. All prize monies are awarded in the form of Golf Shop credit i. There are no costs associated with playing in the Club Championship i. 13 Club Championship Ladies Division Saturday, August 5 Monday, August Ladies Overall Champion: Maria Prymak-Irvine 1. Agenda i. Players to register on the first tee prior to their tee time ii. Tee times will be created and posted by the Golf Shop staff iii. Second round pairings and tee times will be based on scoring from the first round, with the leaders teeing off last 2. Format i. Stroke play, two rounds of eighteen holes ii. Open to all lady members, excluding juniors iii. Al l play in the Ladies division will take place from the red tees iv. The top four low gross players will comprise the Provincial Ladies Interclub Championship Team v. Low Gross and Low Net division prizes in all flights, one player cannot win more than one prize vi. Tee times will be created and posted by the Golf Shop staff iii. Second round pairings and tee times will be based on scoring from the previous round, with the leaders teeing off last 2. Format i. Stroke play, two rounds of eighteen holes ii. Open to all junior members iii. All play in the junior division will take places from the blue tees for boys, and the red tees for girls iv. The top four low gross juniors will comprise the Provincial Junior Interclub Championship Team v. Low Gross and Low Net division prizes in all flights, one player cannot win more than one prize vi. All prize monies awarded in the form of Golf Shop credit i. There are no costs associated with playing in the Club Championship i. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the locker room, or you may register by contacting the Golf Shop at
15 Cross Country Sunday, October 1 1. Agenda i. Registration will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Golf Shop ii. Play will commence at 2:00 p.m. in a modified shotgun start iii. Light meal and prizes to follow play 2. Format i. Two player scramble ii. Play the course in a different, unique set up iii. Nine holes, top holes only (1, 2, 3, 4, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) iv. Sign up in the Golf Shop as a two player team, or as an individual, and the Golf Shop will do their best to accommodate you v. All members in good standing and guests are welcome to participate i. The cost to participate in Cross Country is $20 for members and $30 for guests and includes golf, carts, light meal and prizes i. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the Golf Shop, or by contacting the Golf Shop at

Dinner and prize presentation following play 2. Format i. Four player teams (set by the Golf Shop) ii. Shamble format iii. Eighteen holes iv. All play from the blue tees v. Open to all male members in good standing, over the age of 18 vi. Top teams will receive prizes, as well as individual hole contests vii. Pari-mutual betting available at registration (optional) i. $45.00, which includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes i. 18 Men s League Orientation Tuesday, April 18 Begins Monday, April 24 & Tuesday, April Champions: Joe Pare & John Braun 1. Agenda i. Tee times are scheduled from 2:30 4:30 on Mondays, and 1:30 4:30 on Tuesdays ii. Dinner following play (attendance optional), Men s League specials featured each week 2. Format i. Two man net best ball, match play players will play off the low handicapper in the group, and the strokes will fall as per the scorecard ii. Five available divisions a. Ross Division Monday 2:30-3:30 b. Bendelow Division Monday 3:30-4:30 c. Smith Division Tuesday 1:30-2:30 d. Trigg Division Tuesday 2:30-3:30 e. Titcombe Division Tuesday 3:30-4:30 iii. Matches scheduled by the Golf Shop iv. Open to all male members, aged 19 or older restricted members must play on Monday evenings due to tee time restrictions on Tuesdays v. Men s League is strictly match play finishing a hole is not necessary, if you are deemed to have lost the hole before it is completed, please pick up vi. Standings will be kept throughout the season, and the top four teams from each division will make the playoffs (which commence the week following Club Championships) vii. All play is from the blue tees viii. Please maintain appropriate pace of play at all times, keep up to the group ahead of and finish 18 holes in 4 hours or less. i. The cost of Men s League is $100 per player, and for three man tees, the third player will pay $50. This includes a meal and beverages at Men s League Orientation on Tuesday, April 18, as well as golf each week and prizes at the end of the season i. Sign-up in the Golf Shop on, or after, April 1 st. Spots are limited in each division, and will be first come, first served. Registrations will not be accepted prior to April 1.
19 5. Additional Information i. There is a hole in one jackpot during Men s League play. All participants (including spares) will be automatically entered and charged $1 per game played throughout the season. The pot will accumulate until someone makes a hole in one on the 16 th hole during Men s League play, with the pot beginning in 2017 at $ Players are permitted to opt-out if they do not want to participate.

Nassau points system, 1 for front nine, 1 for back nine, 1 for overall iii. Year-long Club teams point total determines rankings and playoffs iv. Handicap indexes of 6.0 or less v. Open to all male members 19 years or older vi. Play from the black (or Championship) tees vii. Eighteen holes viii. Open to all male members, excluding juniors handicap must be 9 or less at time of qualification ii. Matches are set in bracket format, winners will advance to the next round, losers are eliminated iii. Matches are played straight up, no handicaps iv. Eighteen holes (or until the match is completed) v. All play will be from the black tees vi. All matches have deadlines as to when they must be played vii. A coin flip will determine all matches past deadlines viii. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, May 28 th and Sunday, May 29 st ix. All match disputes and rulings are to be resolved by the Match and Handicap committee x. Extensions will only be granted under certain circumstances, if one is needed, please contact the Head Professional i. There are no costs associated with playing in the Whibley Cup competition ii. Prizes monies are distributed in the form of Golf Shop credit to the Champion and Runner Up i. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28. Please register with the Golf Shop or the starter prior to teeing off if you wish to qualify ii. The top 16 scores from the qualifying weekend will be ranked in order, and playdowns will continue from there

Open to all male members, excluding juniors handicaps 10 or higher at time of qualification ii. Matches are set in bracket format, winners will advance to the next round, losers are eliminated iii. Matches are played straight up, no handicaps iv. Eighteen holes (or until the match is completed) v. All play will be from the blue tees vi. All matches have deadlines as to when they must be played vii. A coin flip will determine all matches past deadlines viii. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29 ix. The handicap strokes fall as per the scorecard (including ½ strokes) iv. Eighteen holes (or until the match is completed) v. All play will be from the blue tees vi. All matches have deadlines as to when they must be played vii. A coin flip will determine all matches past deadlines viii. All match disputes and rulings are to be resolved by the Match and Handicap committee ix. 31 Thursday Morning Ladies Run on Thursday mornings, beginning May 4 9:00 a.m. tee times 1. Sign-up sheets for entry in Ladies Events will be posted in the Ladies Locker room. Ladies wishing to participate in these events must play inside the allotted tee times on Thursday mornings. With the exception of MONTHLY MEDAL. 2. Fixture Card i. The format changes each week, and will be as follows: TBA 3. Additions and or cancellations are to be called in to the Golf Shop the day prior to starting time. 4. Scorecards are to be handed in to the Golf Shop immediately after the completion of the round and must be dated, signed and attested and must show both gross and net scores. 5. Instructions for NOVELTY EVENTS are posted in the Ladies Locker Room.
32 Ladies Nassau Runs on Mondays throughout the season 1. Agenda i. Competitive interclub played weekly on Monday afternoons starting at approximately 4:45 p.m. ii. Dinner following the completion of play at the Host Club iii. Venue alternates. Schedule will be announced when available. 2. Format i. Two person gross best ball ii. Match play, 6 player teams iii. Nassau points system, 1 for front nine, 1 for back nine and 1 for overall iv. Year-long Club team s point total determines rankings and playoffs v. Open to all lady members, excluding juniors vi. All play will be from the red tees vii. Eighteen holes viii Ladies Nassau Team Captain: Alice Muir i. The cost to play in the Ladies Nassau is $10 each week you are selected to play, cost includes meals for the player and opponent at home games i. Teams are placed in divisions, and all play takes place within their own division iii. Matches are played with full handicaps, handicap strokes fall as per the scorecard iv. Eighteen holes (or until the match is completed) v. All play will be from the red tees vi. All matches have deadlines as to when they must be played vii. A coin flip will determine all matches past deadlines viii. All match disputes and rulings are to be resolved by the Match and Handicap committee ix. Extensions will only be granted under certain circumstances, if one is needed, please contact the Head Professional i.
