5 USHJA STIRRUP CUP FINALS A Zone Stirrup Cup Final is designed to reward participants in the USHJA Zone Stirrup Cup Program by providing them with the opportunity to earn bonus points in various sections at a competition that the Zone Committee and USHJA has deemed worthy of this award. competition in a given Zone based upon the recommendation of the applicable Zone Committee, subject to the approval of the placing the class a second time including only those who are Zone members. These second set of results must be submitted to awarded for each class. 6 OCTOBERFEST 2015 GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION ) PRE-ENTRY CLOSING DATE is AUGUST 21st, Mail entries and fees to: Barbara Baierle PH: (360) C/O Octoberfest FAX: (360) nd Ave. SE Snohomish WA ) ENTRY PROCEDURE: Only complete entries, by the following specifications, will be accepted. Incomplete entries will not be processed. One check per owner. a. Exhibitors may choose to pre-pay all fees before the closing date of entries b. Exhibitors must pay the total of a deposit of $50 per horse plus stall fees. c. Exhibitors paying by credit card will be charged a $35 convenience fee. d. All completed entries received by the closing date will be allowed add/scratches/substitute on the day preceding the show (schooling day) at no charge. Incomplete entries, and entries received after the closing date, will be assessed fees for any add/scratch/substitutions.. e. Trainers and owners may leave a signed open check for charges during the show. All accounts to be closed by 5:00 Saturday. f. All entries which are late will be assessed a $50 late fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. g. Exhibitors will receive their prize money within 3 weeks after the horse show. 3) A COMPLETE ENTRY will include the following: a. All required signatures b. Name of the horse, and complete description ('Entry' is not acceptable) c. All classes/sections entered d. REMEMBER: THE OFFICE MUST SEE THE OWNER, TRAINER AND RIDER'S USEF CARDS OR COPIES OF CARDS. e. All required organization membership numbers and horse ID numbers. f. Copies of any required documents (e.g. measurement card, amateur certification etc.) 4) ENTRY REFUND AND CANCELLATION An exhibitor who cancels an entry after the closing date may obtain a refund of ENTRY FEES only under the following conditions: a. A Certificate of Disability stating the nature of the unsoundness and issued by a qualified Veterinarian must be presented to the Show Secretary prior to the horse's first class. This applies to all exhibitors. b. After the first class in which the horse is entered, the Certificate of Disability must be issued by the Show Veterinarian to qualify for an entry fee refund. c. No refund allowed for classes held before the Show Office is notified of entry cancellation. d. An office charge of $50.00, or 15% of the canceled class fee, whichever is greater, will be deducted from each refund paid. e. USEF fees will not be refunded. f. Stalls and tack rooms are non-refundable. g. Entry fee refund checks mailed within four weeks of show closing date. 5) NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS returned for any reason will incur a $50.00 penalty. Checks will not be processed a second time. To validate the entry, all required fees, including the penalty, must be paid by Money Order, Cashier's Check or Cash not later than 4:00 PM of the Wednesday preceding the show opening. Checks returned after the show will be handled in accordance with Rule XV, Art No personal checks will be cashed at the show. 6) OPEN CHECKS can be used for adds and scratches at the show only. All open checks will be closed by 5:00 Saturday. Any changes after closing of an open check will require a new check or cash. Open checks cannot be used for prepayment of fees. Please plan accordingly. 7) ADD/SCRATCH POLICY: Exhibitors will be charged $5 for classes added or scratched. Refunds will be given for scratched classes only if the office is notified by 5:00pm the day before the class. All adds or scratches must be made prior to the beginning of the class, unless otherwise specified. 8) POST ENTRIES: Post entries will be accepted at base cost plus an office charge of $5 per class until 5:00pm the day before the classes are to be held and $10 per class after 5:00pm. 9) SHOW OFFICE will be open as follows: Friday: 1 to 5 pm; Sat & Sun: 30 min. prior to start of show to close of show. A $35 office fee will be charged per horse. Show Office Telephone: (425) or (253) ) SUBSTITUTIONS: With a vet s certification, a new horse may be substituted for a scratched horse. Substitutions or transfers allowed at $50.00 per horse.

7 11) AMATEURS Every person who has reached his/her 18th birthday and competes in classes for amateurs under USEF rules must possess current amateur certification issued by USEF. Certification expires on Nov. 30 and must be renewed annually. Current certification must be presented for inspection (photocopy with entry is appreciated) or the competitor must have lodged an application for certification on an USEF form with the show secretary at least one hour prior to the class being entered. Consult Art. 809, and Art & ) AWARDS Award to first in each class: 6 ribbons in Jumper classes and to 8th in Hunter classes. All classes will be judged on performance and soundness unless otherwise noted. 13) PRIZE MONEY Hunter prize money will be divided 30%, 25%, 20%, 15% and 10% to 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4 th and 5th place. Jumper prize money will be divided 25%, 23%, 20%, 17% and 15% to 1st, 2nd, 3 rd, 4 th and 5th place. See ENTRY PROCEDURES for time of payment. 14) STAKE CLASSES To be eligible for the stake class in any section, a horse must be entered, shown and judged in at least one other class in the section. There must be at least 3 horses in class in order to be eligible for stake class prize money. 15) CHANGES Show Management reserves the right to combine or cancel unfilled classes; accept entries for unfilled classes at regular fee; divide classes as entries warrant; change arenas; substitute listed officials; call any class up to 30 minutes ahead of its scheduled time (without change in class order). Exhibitors will be advised if classes are combined, canceled or divided. 16) MEASUREMENT CARDS Those possessing USEF measurement cards shall make them available to the show secretary when picking up entry numbers or submit a photocopy with the entry form. Those competing in junior hunters and in pony hunter or jumper classes who do not have a current measurement card must present the animal for measurement at a designated time and place prior to the first class of the section. Measurements will be at 9:00 AM Saturday morning. 17) CONDUCT Show management reserves the right to reject any entry of any exhibitor, or the participation of any agent, trainer, or rider who acts in a manner deemed improper, unethical, dishonest or intemperate, or who has shown an objectionable attitude towards a Recognized Show Official or towards the show management or previous unsportsmanlike behavior at a Recognized Official. 18) DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS A fee of $16 will be charged for each horse in the performance and/or equitation classes ($8 for drug and medication, $8 USEF fee). The fee will be sent to the U.S. Equestrian Federation to provide funds for research, inspection, and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications and drugs. No horse or pony may compete in a class if it has been administered any forbidden substance except as provided in USEF Article ) PROMPTNESS Exhibitors are responsible for appearing at the In-Gate properly tacked and displaying the correct number one minute prior to their assigned ride times. Show Management is not responsible for locating riders. 20) PLEASE NOTE: There will be a 5 minute maximum gate hold for all rings. 21) LOSS AND INJURY Donida Farm & Octoberfest, Inc., its directors, employees and their associates will not be responsible for any loss or damage or injury to horses exhibited, or for any article of any kind that may be lost or destroyed, or in any way injured. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any injury that may be occasioned to any person, whomsoever, by any horses owned or exhibited by him and shall indemnify Donida Farm & Octoberfest, Inc., its directors, employees and their associates against all claims and demands of any kind or nature that may grow out of injury occasioned by any horses owned or exhibited by him or her, or arise from the negligence of the person in charge of any such horse. 22) PROTESTS Any rider, driver, handler, exhibitor, owner, agent, trainer or parent of a junior exhibitor may file a protest with the show or USEF hearing committee alleging violation of any Federation rule(s). The protest must be a) in writing; b) signed by the protester; c) addressed to the secretary of the competition at which the alleged violation occurred, or to the hearing committee; d) accompanied by a deposit of $200 if made by a Federation member or parent of a junior exhibitor member, or $300 if made by a non-member; e) received by the steward, competition manager or secretary within 48 hours of the alleged violation, or if made directly to the hearing committee must be received in the Federation office by the fifth business day following the last recognized day of the competition. 23) PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR All juniors riding in hunter, jumper, and hunter seat equitation sections must wear properly fitted protective headgear passing or surpassing current ASTM and SEI standards, with harness secured while riding anywhere on the show grounds. All adult riders must wear protective headgear when jumping anywhere on the show grounds. It is the responsibility of the rider, or the parent or guardian or trainer of the junior exhibitor, to see that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards for protective headgear intended for equestrian use. See GR801 24) JUMPER DIVISION Jumps may be any height. To be shown over not less than eight fences. The jumping order for the first round will be established by listing horses names and their positions drawn in accordance with Art Ties for first place will be decided by time. Competitors tied for other than first place will be decided by time taken in the first round. Where Champions and Reserve Champions are to be awarded it will be decided by points won in classes throughout a Section. First place 10 points, Second, 6 points, Third, 4 points, Fourth, 2 points and Fifth, 1 point, Sixth, 1/2 point.. 25) VETERINARIAN is on call: NORTHWEST EQUINE (425)

8 26) FARRIER Allistair Nimmo will be available on call. Ph: (425) ) SCHOOLING areas will be available for use before, during and after the Show. Schooling In the performance rings will be limited. Schooling in ALL RINGS will be allowed at a flat cost of $30.00 on Friday, September 6TH, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 5PM. Riders are required to wear protective headgear and boots when schooling. a. Hunter Ring #1, 10:00am, will start at 3 6 b. Hunter Ring #2, 10:00am, will start at 2 9 c. Jumper Ring 10:00am, will start at.95 and above 28) RING SIZES: a. Hunter Ring #1 is outdoor sand 130' by 225' b. Hunter Ring #2 is indoor sand 130' by 225' c. Jumper Ring is outdoor sand 250' by 200' 29) CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION TITLES will be awarded for the sections indicated, provided at least three horses are shown in EVERY CLASS IN THE DIVISION. When two or more divisions are combined, only one Champion and Reserve Championship will be awarded. All over fence classes in each section will receive full points towards that particular Championship. Only the top four horses with the most points over fences will acquire points for the under saddle class. Points: First place 10 points, Second, 6 points, Third, 4 points, Fourth, 2 points and Fifth, 1 point, Sixth, 1/2 point. 30) STALL RESERVATIONS are to be made on the entry blank, indicating dates of arrival and departure, adjacent stall assignments and other stabling requests. Stalls will be assigned in the order completed entries are received, giving preference to exhibitors from out of the country, out of the state, and coming the farthest distance. Exhibitors are advised that late entries may not receive stalls, but a waiting list will be established and stalls assigned as they become available through cancellations. A Haul-In fee of $40 per day is required for horses not stabled on the grounds. Stalls will be available 6 AM Friday the 4th. Early arrivals must notify management and a $35 fee will apply. 31) STABLING There will be approximately 60 stalls, permanent construction, with solid dividers and Dutch doors, available on the grounds. Portable stalls, with doors, will be provided for timely reservations. Shavings provided for first bedding only. Bales of shavings will be available upon request at $10 per bale on entry form and at the show office. No outside bulk or bagged shavings. Straw is not permitted. Stalls must be cleaned daily. Dirty bedding must be placed in areas provided. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning their own stalls and must provide their own feed and buckets. If outside shavings are used, there will be a $35 manure disposal fee per horse. 32) SHAVINGS: No outside bulk or bagged shavings. ( no shavings brought from home ) Shavings MUST be purchased on entry form or at show from Donida farm. Shavings provided for first bedding only. Bales of shavings will be available upon request at $10 per bale on entry form and at the show office. Straw is not permitted. 32) SHARPS CONTAINERS: Sharps containers will be available at the end of each barn aisle way. Please be sure to dispose of needles in the sharps containers provided. Competition Management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. GR ) CAMP / TRAILER / RV electrical hook-ups are NOT available. A fee of $25 per day will be charged for overnight parking. Showers are available. Indicate on entry form if parking place is required. This does not include horse trailers unless they contain living quarters. Exhibitors must pick up and display camping pass, available at show office. Anyone camping without a pass displayed will be subject to a $30 fee. 34) DOG POLICY: Dogs allowed only after being signed in at office. Pay the Doggie fee of $ Donida Farm charges a $50 fine if dogs not signed in at office. (% of proceeds go to Animal care groups). Dogs allowed at Campsites, tied in tack stall, vehicles. No off leash with the exception of after show hours within the race track infield. Please pick up the Doggie Dodo s. Repetitive reminders may result in removal of competitor from show grounds w/ no refunds. 35) SMOKING is not allowed anywhere on the grounds. 36) MOTORIZED VEHICLES: In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above-described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s), from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6 of USEF rules. Wheelchairs and other mobility devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

9 37) USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT: Senior active and Junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular competitions, at Eventing competitions at the preliminary level or above and Combined Driving competitions at the advanced level, Dressage, Reining, and Vaulting competitions and Endurance Rides provided that respective breed/discipline category fee has been paid. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at regular competitions, Eventing competitions, Dressage competitions, Reining competitions, and combined driving competitions upon payment of a $30 non-member registration. 38) IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP and NON-MEMBER FEE INFORMATION All exhibitors, owners, and trainers must be current members of USEF and USHJA (United States Hunter Jumper Assoc.) or pay non-member fees as follows: USEF Senior $30; USEF Junior $30; USHJA $30. Copies of membership cards must be included with an entry or produced at show office when obtaining rider numbers. All competing horses must have either a Horse ID Number or Horse Recording Number issued by the Federation. PARTICIPANTS IN THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS RULE 1) Leadline; 2) Exhibitions; 3) Games ad races; 4) Classes for 4-H members; 5) Walk- Trot and Academy classes (Academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level classes, Pas de Deux and Quadrille classes; 7) NHRA endorsed reining competitions; (8) Opportunity classes; (9) Citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing with their own National Federation; 10) USEF Beginner Novice Division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. 39) Federation Entry Agreement: By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR DONIDA FARMS FACILITY RULES Main barn/arena area for "load and unload" only. Park horse trailers in designated trailer parking area only. Spectator parking in designated area only. Keep fire lanes open at all times. Roadways between barns. Camp ground use includes fire pit and showers. Please extinguish fires before retiring. No haul-in horses. No horses allowed onto facility without being stalled or haul-in fee paid. Campers, live-in trailers, tents must obtain a "Pass" and be visible. Charges apply. Dogs allowed only once signed in at office. Pay the doggie fee of $30.00 (% of proceeds go to animal care groups). Dogs allowed at campsites, tied in tack stall, vehicles. No off leash with the exception of after show hours within the race track infield. Please pick up the doggie doodos! $50.00 fine. Repetitive reminders may result in removal of competitor from show grounds w/ no refunds. Campgrounds must be free from horses. Please lunge in designated areas only.- usually north lower outdoor sand arena. Use manure wagons to dispose of stall manure only. A - barn wash-racks for boarder residents only. Public rack outside C barn, D barn, and E barn Pick-up garbage and place in or /next to dumpster. Horses may move-in after 2:00. Day prior to event earlier arrivals must be cleared thru Donida. No stall construction changes allowed. Any damage to stalls will incur a damage fee. No nails in stall. Tack stalls will be charged additional $20.00 for nails. No riding on race-track unless permission is granted from Donida Farm. Bagged shavings available at $10.00 bag. Pre-order on entry or order at show office by 9:00 Morning, and 4:00 PM drop offs slips provided in show office. Cash, check, or Visa. If outside shavings are used, a $35 manure disposal fee will be charged.

16 USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee.
