SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Measuring: Horses/Ponies must have current RAS or EFA height certificate or obtain one on the day. Horses/Ponies must have a height certificate equivalent to the class for which they have qualified. There will be no transfer. Height certificate must be produced on demand. Drug Testing: The use of tranquillisers, stimulants, or any drugs capable of affecting the performance or behaviour of animals is forbidden. Competitors are advised that tests for forbidden substances may be carried out during the Show and that testing of all animals is at the owner s risk. Testing for forbidden substances will be carried out under veterinary supervision. Conflict of Classes: Every effort will be made to accommodate a conflict, however, in any case a ring will not be held up. ADMISSION ADULTS: $10.00 FAMILY (2 ADULTS & 2 CHILDREN UNDER 14): $20.00 CHILDREN (UNDER 14YRS):$5.00 PENSIONERS: $5.00 MEMBERSHIP Single: $10.00 or Family: $20.00 (ADMITS TO SHOW)

3 GENERAL REGULATIONS: 1. Entries without requisite fees will not be accepted. 2. The Committee of the Society reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry and need not give any reason for doing so. Correspondence will not be entered into. 3. Exhibits, displays and all goods and properties are admitted to the showgrounds conditionally upon the owner/s absolving the Society from, and indemnifying the Society against, any claim arising out of any accident to, caused by or resulting from: misdelivery, accident, fire, storm-way, flood, lightning, theft or any other event. 4. All exhibits must be owned by the entrant as disclosed on the relevant entry form. The Secretary may call for evidence to that effect. 5. All exhibits are to be of the breed pedigree description qualities and properties appropriate to the event entered. Any contravention tending to mislead the Judges of the event or the Committee of the Society will result in the disqualification of the entry and forfeiture of any prizes awarded to it. 6. Any exhibit affected with a vermin, parasite, contagious or other disease shall be refused admission to, or caused to be removed from the show. 7. Exhibitors must comply with all instructions of the Steward/s of the relevant section. 8. The Judge of a section is not bound to award any or all of the prizes provided for in a class. Any or all of the prizes may be withheld when the Judge considers appropriate standards are not met. 9. The Judge of a section may amalgamate or divide classes or transfer entries into more appropriate classes if warranted. 10. Any person insulting, impeding or otherwise interfering with any Judge during the course of the Show may be removed from the Showgrounds and any prizes awarded to such person may be forfeited. 11. Judges shall sign and pass their reports to the Secretary promptly after finalising their decisions. Judges decision will be final. 12. Prize cards, ribbons and other awards bestowed at the current Show must be displayed with the relevant exhibit from the time of the award to the close of the Show. 13. Contravention of any regulation may lead to the forfeiture of any prizes won. 14. Any dispute to the construction of these regulations will be determined by the Committee of the Society whose decision will be final. 15. All dogs owned by either Showman s Guild Members, competitors or the general public must be chained or confined by the owner s leash. Chain/leash not to exceed one metre in length. Dogs are to be muzzled whilst not in competition. 16. Prizes and trophies can be collected from the Chief Steward of the section concerned after 4p.m. 17. At 4 pm on Show Day, the Pavilion is to be closed. All patrons are to leave then and only exhibitors are to be re-admitted. 18. PIC Number 3MXDF069

4 REGULATIONS: 1. Children competing MUST produce certificate of age from parent/guardian on request. 2. Entrants to local classes must produce proof of residency to ring steward. E.g. Utility bill, etc. 3. In any class it will be left to the Judge s discretion to award a 1 st prize. 4. Judges decision is final. 5. The Committee reserves the right to alter or cancel any event. 6. The Official Measurer will be on ground. When height is stipulated EFA Height Certificate will be accepted but the Committee reserves the right to remeasure any horse/pony at any time. 7. Any Stallion present in the Showgrounds must have a bit in its mouth or chain controlling halter. 8. No Stallion shall be permitted in Open Rings, excluding Showjumping & Barrel Racing. 9. Novice means never to have won a 1 st prize at any registered Agricultural Show. 10. Intermediate never to have won a 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd at any Royal Horse Show. 11. Conflict of classes: Every effort will be made to accommodate a conflict, however, in any case a ring will not be held up. 12. It is the competitor s responsibility to ensure he/she has a valid 2015 Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Show ticket to present to the steward on entering the ring. Competitors who do not present a valid ticket will be asked to immediately exit the ring. All exhibitors are reminded of their Liability for damage or injury caused by animals in their control. Competitors please note: All Competitors ride entirely at their own risk. Ground Stewards have the power to evict horses not properly restrained whilst on the Showgrounds. ENTRY FEE: $5.00 per entry in each class unless otherwise stated in the programme. AWARDS & PRIZES: 1 st to 3 rd in each class. At the judge s discretion immediate disqualification of a competitor will occur if they are seen to be deliberately pulling a horse up in an effort to place in a lower division. 2. Times will be averaged on the completion of the 2nd round. Competitors will be put in respective divisions based on a total time over the 2 rounds. Not including any time penalties for knocked barrels. (5 seconds for each knocked barrel). 3. No excessive use of whip or abuse of horse will be tolerated -Immediate disqualification. 4. HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY ALL COMPETITORS 1 st Division The fastest average time over 2 rounds plus one second. Any competitors average time between these two times will be in 1st Division. 2nd Division The fastest average time plus one second and the fastest average time plus 2 seconds. Any competitors average time between these two times will be in the 2nd Division. 3rd Division The fastest average time plus two seconds and the fastest average time plus 3 seconds. Any competitors average time between these two times will be in the 3rd Division..

15 MALDON & BARINGHUP AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY INC Liability Waiver Form-Exclusion of Certain Rights to Sue The purpose of this agreement is to limit the liability of the Provider for any personal injury or death to the Participant and other people in the care and control of the Participant howsoever caused who signed this form acknowledgement of the terms and conditions of this agreement. By signing this form you are waiving the rights to sue the Provider for losses relating to personal injury or death. Under the provisions of the Trade Practises Act and Various State Laws conditions are implied into contracts that mean that the provider of Recreational Services, noted below, is required to ensure that the Recreational Services it sells to you are: rendered with due care and skill, are fit for the purpose for which they are commonly bought as it is reasonable to expect in the circumstances or might reasonably be expected to achieve the result you have made known to the Provider. The Provider is: Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Society Inc. PO Box 184, Maldon Vic 3463 The Participant acknowledges that the activity is being undertaken is an activity being undertaken for the purposes of recreation, enjoyment or leisure which involves a significant degree of physical risk. The provider acknowledges that they are providing Recreational Services Detailed below which means: providing facilities for participation in a recreational activity, or training a person to participate in a recreational activity, or supervising, adjudicating, guiding or otherwise assisting a persons participation in a recreational activity. The Participant hereby acknowledges that in attending the recreational activity that there are inherent risks involved to him or her or other people in their care or control. This agreement is directed and limited to inherent risks that are patent. The Participants also acknowledges that the purpose of the recreational activity is for the benefit of the Participant and for the benefit of those people attending with the Participant and that at all times the Participant is responsible for his or her own actions and for the actions of those other people in his or her control. Description of recreational events: All Horse, Sheep, Goat, Cattle and related activities including: Demonstrations, Ridden, Harness and In Hand all recreational activities run by the: Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Society Inc. Implementation of a risk management approach to all events. Implementation of the rules and regulations agreed to by the committee. The Participant acknowledges that during all times while he or she is attending the recreational activity he or she does so at his or her own risk and that the Participant and other people in the care of the Participant will not hold the Provider or any of it's employees or agents liable for any personal injury or breach of contract whether caused by negligence of the Provider, it s employees or agents howsoever caused or otherwise. The Participant acknowledges that in the event, he or she or any of the other people in their care and control find either or any of them is in difficulty that they are to stop the activity or request that the activity be stopped if appropriate, and would seek help and/or assistance and advice.
